NEW DELHI: Three years ago, the Indian Army gained strategic heights on the Kailash Range along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh, thereby forcing the Chinese troops to come to the negotiating table. That was the largest build-up along the LAC, says Lt Gen. Savneet Singh (Retd), who led the operation as the Commander of 17 Mountain Strike Corps. Speaking about the operation for the first time in public, Lt Gen. Singh (Retd) told StratNews Global Editor-in-Chief Nitin A.
