I saw quite a few people asking about the ET-2720. I just printed the same color test sheet as this video on my printer and then with the ICC profile provided by Angie Holden. I have not pressed it onto fabric yet to see finished product; however, I noticed (as far as I can tell on a screen) identical colors and improvement of the printed image using the same paper and ink as this video but with the Epson ET-2720 printer. If they come out with an ICC specific to my printer I'll repeat this test with that, but for now I feel the ICC profile available is a definite improvement!
Searched the comments to see if anyone asked whether the ICC profile was to be in the RGB or CMYK working space for someone on Mac using Photoshop, didn't see an answer but figured it out. Once I download the ICC profile I changed the color setting in Photoshop to load it as the RGB profile. Works great on the blanks I tested on, I also love how a pretty big chunk of these comments have a response from Angie herself!! Thank you for the knowledge Angie!!!
Thank you Angie! Really love your videos. PS: I was able to use the ICC profiles with GIMP (which is free) but am sure it's probably easier on Photoshop, just thought I'd mention in case someone asked for a free option.
@@ricroot please.. where i can info about how to do it?... im struggling with this and i dont get the correct colors when i printing with my sublimation ink. I already installed on my computer the ICC profile but GIMP is printing with the same gamma colors than was printing before.
I've downloaded GIMP and added my ICC pofile into this but I am still struggling on how to work this GIMP I've downloaded pic art ie stitch as my grandchildren love this. But I have no idea on how to change colours etc. I have learnt how to make a bg removeer on Google but when I print and cut my image looks great on the circuit before printing etc and when it prints out on my espon it is horrible no colours what so ever it is so dull. Do you have any suggestions at all please. As it would be much appreciated if so TIA x
Thank you so much! I have been struggling to get my colours right, my pinks always looked peach. I use the same ink and paper but use an Epson 2720 and it still worked great!
Hi Angie I stumbled upon your video in my frantic search for how to fix my sublimation colors. My reds are horrible. Anyway, THANK YOU so much. I have watched countless videos. You helped more than any of them. And you actually followed through with the information on where to find the ICC profile unlike other people who tell how to download it and use it but NOT where to get it. So you are a life saver!
Awesome I have et-2800 also. I’m going to download the icc profile that Angie used. Glad to hear that someone else has used that icc profile for ET-2800 and it worked well. Thank you for your comment 😊
@@sherylanderson906 Hi Sheryl, I haven’t tried it yet. I’m still working on getting my craft room set up and organized. Lol. My printer is still in the box. If you try it before me, let me know if it works. Thanks for reaching out.
Another great video. Thank you so much for all the detailed guides, they help me a lot get into sublimation and vinyl crafting. Can I suggest a video? You have 1 with different types of sublimation on a shirt, how about a video about the different types of sublimation on a cotton shirt( like easy subli, glitter htv, printeble htv, poly spray etc)? Thank you again for your great guides
Please post the ICC profile for the Epson ET-2720 (when it is available). I use the same paper and ink that you showed in your video, but I have a different Epson printer. Thank you!
Thank you so much!! This is a life saver!! My husband and I have been going nuts trying to figure out why our black was looking green with Epson 15000. Following you for more ideas 😀
Hi Angie, thank you so much for all of your videos. They are so informative. In this video you use the colour chart for testing, can I ask you where you got the colour charts and is it available to download anywhere?
Wow!! Thank you so much for a very informative video! I have learned so much from ALL of your videos. You are such a great teacher!! I have an Epson WF-7720 that I am converting to a sublimation printer. I will be using the Hiipoo ink and the A-Sub paper that you are using. Do you have access to the ICC profile that you can share that will work with the Epson WF-7720? Or, can you tell me where to find the ICC profile for Epson WF-7720, Hiipoo ink, A-Sub paper? I have looked online, but haven’t been able to locate an ICC profile for this combination. Thank you so much for your help!!
I ordered my Printer and am anxiously waiting for it to come and I just signed up for your ICC profiles so I'll be ahead of the game before it gets here. :-)
Happy that I found you, I'm having problems with my colors and you video is so much help only thing you just print any chart color or where can I find them!
This is a wonderful video. We just had a project where we were putting sublimation on baby diapers. When I did it, our mauve turned more purple. When I used the exact same sublimation on a regular "test" fabric, it turned out exactly the way it was to turn out to be. This will help me to adjust just a little bit to correct for the diaper fabric.
I am really really impressed with your videos. I am turning an Epson 2760 into a sublimation printer. I bought the ink and the paper that you had already described just the printer is different. I never even heard of an ICC profile thank you very much for the information if I have a problem I know where to get the answer 😀
Wow....thank u so much for showing the difference u can see the the color change esp. With the brightness of the colors thats so awesome to see the only difference for me is i just got the epsom 2800
Thanks Angie, I printed a license plate, and the colors were off. I reran your video, and somehow I missed the part about changing the "Automatic" setting the first time. I use Affinity Photo, and the colors came out great the second time. Your videos are great. Very detailed.
Thank you for this! Took me a little time to figure it out on my Mac, but it worked! I use the basic version of the Silhouette software to print to my Epson ET-2720. The colors look absolutely AMAZING!
@@ayleenbarbelfattal5308 I had trouble too and just figured out how to install the profile on my Mac- I used this video I found to make sure I was installing the profile correctly. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hmFAXpuYe6c-.html I just skipped to about 2mins in- to the part where it was downloaded and he's showing the folder to add it to. And then I had actually downloaded Silhouette as well so I can see the profile info when I tried to print.
I have the same printer but find that my yellows are printing with a green tint to them. I use Printers Jack sublimation ink and installed the ICC profile from Printers Jack but still not much luck with getting the correct colours. Did you install the profile that is mentioned in this video? Did you change any other settings for the printer?
Hello please keep sharing ideas using this printer ! I follow you and just bought this printer and ink along with the sub paper :) I just need to learn how to use it more :/ thanks
Hi Angie, I assume you will see this because you responded so quickly to my question this morning. I thought I'd share some information I came across while trying to decide if I wanted to get photo shop so that I could use the ICC profile you provided. I came across a video today that shows how to use the ICC profile you provided in Windows with Silhouette Studio, Cricut Design & more. I'm not sure if I can include the link here so I'll just leave the channel and the Title so that it should be easy to find if you are interested. Channel: DAT INKZ POPPIN Title: How to Use a Color Profile for Sublimation in Windows with Silhouette Studio, Cricut Design & more! He goes step by step on how to do it with the profile they provide for their ink. I followed along up until the point that I had to select the printer because my printer hasn't arrived yet. I was able to locate the ICC profile you provided and would have been able to complete the process if I had the printer installed I can't wait for my printer to arrive next week!
I use Affinity Photo which is (as far as the general population goes) pretty much the same thing as Photoshop and its a one time payment of $50 and upgrades are free! I love it!
Hello, nothing happens when I click install profile, and when I open Photoshop, there is no Hiipo option. What am I doing wrong? I am using the ET 2850the only options are CIE RGB, e-sRGB, Epson sRGB, Epson Standard RGB, ET-2850, HDTV (Rec.709), PAL/SECAM, ROMM-RGB, SMPTE-C, Wide Gamut RGB.
You can go to the Hiipoo website to see if they have one or request it. You can also try this one I have if you would like to see if it fixes any issues.
I knew I needed color correction when my 'pink' bunny came out 'orange', but I didn't know how to do it. This is perfect as I have this exact combo and followed your guidelines to convert to sublimation. Thanks so much!
So I'm on a Mac and when I download the icc profile it doesn't give me the chance to download it just to open it and when i open it, it just shows all the file info but doesn't install anything
I tried the icc profile for Epson 2800 but did not delete other profiles. I am using Cricut, Hiippo ink, sub a paper and prints were really pink tones. When I use my adjusted profile pinks are orange and maroons are brown. Do you have any recommendations?
I just love your videos! They are my ride or die for this new crafty part of my life! I use Inkscape and Procrete for my designs but use Design Space for printing on a specific area of a page. Will I need an ICC for Design Space? I guess I need to understand if the ICC for each program?
I converted an Epson 2750 eco tank, I used the Hiipoo ink and use the A-sub paper. I have been fighting with it to get a certain mauve shade in my daughter’s business logo, and it keeps coming out too brown! I guess this is my problem, the ICC is off. I’ll check for the correct profile and hope this corrects it. I do use only MAC computers and use Canva or Pixelmater program for my editing. Thanks so much for this video!
Hello I have an Epson ST 2000 echo tank I use the same ink and the same paper but I can't get my setting correct as it appears on the screen would you happen to know the number for brightness, contrast, saturation and the density that should be set on the computer for vibrant colors on my sublimation
I've tried multiple times and my red comes out more orange/pinkish. I have my magenta set to the max. When I played with the brightness, my colors did get more vibrant and the pink is starting to look pink but red looks dark orange. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!
When I print out my sublimation design, the colors are fine. When I press it onto my tumbler in my heat press, it comes out green/blue no matter the design or colors it contains.. Could the ICC profile be the issue? Thanks for your help!
Angie, when i print pink or magenta, with my Epson eco tank printer with Hippo ink on A-Sub paper, it does look pint on the printed page, but when i sublimate or iron it on a 100% poly white shirt. It is Red. Any ideas??
I have an et 2800 im having the same issue. I work on the road. So as soon as im under same wifi ill install. But mean while matte option paper makes it much more clear. But to make colors richer ill use the icc tool.
Hello! I have a question, could you recommend me ICC profile if I have Epson Eco tank L1250 printer, Epson sublimation ink, and I use Photoshop on Windows 10. Thank you!
First, if you are using Cricut Design Space to print, turn off the bleed. Second, try a different paper setting if you need to or a different paper. It sounds like maybe the paper is not absorbing correctly.
I would say to look on the ink manufactuer's website for the current profiles they have. You can also try any of those in a pinch to see if they fix the issues you are having. The profile does not necessarily have to match your printer.
I have an Epson ET 15000 that I converted with Hiipoo ink and Sub A paper.... and it will not print greens/teals.... only blue any help or know if there is an ICC or this printer
I can’t get turquoise / teal to print on my ET15000… Hiipoo ink Et15000 A sub paper I followed the video and downloaded the icc for my printer but still seeing a blue I am stuck, help
Ok sorry im a little lost so i have a epson 4800 printer and hippo ink does that mean i can not download a profile i dont see 4800 option on there site?
Hi Angie, thanks so much for this I have the same materials and printer as you do and have had trouble printing the right Greens particularly bright greens like Neon.. I will definitely try this method.
You will have to go to the manufacturer of the ink to see if they have an ICC profile for your printer. Or you can try profiles for other types of printers and see if they fix the issue you are having.
Thank you for all the great information that you share. I have an ET-2720 with Hippo sublimation ink. I do not use photoshop or Corel. I use Inkscape. I installed the ICC profile for the 2720 which I got from Hippo. My problem is that although I can select No color adjustment, I do not get the same options as you showed to pick the ICC profile that was installed. Do you have any advise?
You will have to look on the Hiipoo website to see which ones they have now. You can try any profile with your machine though. It doesn't have to be for your specific printer.
I followed everything you said to do, my colors are slightly off on my printer, after you hit install where does it go? I'm on Photoshop, I can't find this anywhere, I have been at this for 3 hours now, I'm just slightly confused where to find it, does it just pop up on your screen after installing, if thats the case it's not working for me, please help me, I have been trying to sublimate something for a week now I just keep running into a problem after problem, thank you for your videos they really are a lifesaver so far
