I really love my 2011 Lotus Evora S but there are just a few unique eccentricities that make living with it on a daily basis that little bit annoying. Nothing serious mind you! And nothing so serious that I'd ever use them as a reason to part with it. This car has far too many other great qualities to make up for some very very minor quibbles. Enjoy the video. always good to hear from an actual owner. i heard the steering and shifter abit better in the 2012 - 2014/series 1

Thanks for the video. I was hoping you would have discussed more serious flaws as opposed to your personal OCD issues. They are your preferences more than flaws with the car. My $0.02.

If you hold the headlight button for about 2 seconds it turns all lights off

Owned my '14 Evora S for 6 months, but various Lotus' for decades. Some things you mention are just quirks like the wiper ( you can get better blades than OE, but also use Rain-X on the glass) others are actual faults on your car (seatbelt should retract swiftly). Lotus use sourced OEM parts for the interior controls, typically Ford for the Evora - so whatever you dont like about the cruise control or column stalks applies some of the most popular cars too. I'm sure issues like this will be addressed in the new generation of models, now Lotus are part of the Geely Group and have direct access to modern OE components HTHs

on my 2010 NA, which has the same bodywork as this, the water ran straight onto the engine and never into the boot when opening after heavy rainfall. Unless I smashed it open very fast. It was in deed a clever design. I think there must be something wrong with the sealing on yours?

The tolerances are tight in the transmission and need to warm up. They shift great when warm.

The sun visors are hilariously small so true. Had to get accustomed to the ultra lightweight steering wheel. Must weigh one third that of an Audi S4.

Lots of lotus quirks. Furniture polish on the seatbelt though mate👍 pull it all the way out.

so why would you use cruise control in an evora ? why would you want to listen to the radio ? take your point on the boot release which was added to later models, its a lotus dont go out in the rain lol, sun visor ? you need to be taller, windscreen wiper ? see previous reply regarding rain, but all in all a hand built british super car (ok owned by the chinese) will have some personality !!! i adore mine and wont be parting with it !!!!

Agreed, all of these quirks are really part of its personality and if it was perfect then it wouldn't be any fun! Enjoy your Evora. I still miss mine. A bit.

I've had an unbelievably reliable BMW e89 Z4 for 8 years. Only 1 coil pack in all that time was replaced. I love this car. Would I be happy do you think? No wife, no kids, etc. 🤭

Are come on, you can find something wrong with every car made. Am still going to buy an Evora. Av just sold a TVR which was a great car but you should never have one. I think you need a Volvo.
