my brother has been drafting breloom for a singles team with spore, bullet seed, focus punch and mach punch. if the spore connects you get a free focus punch and with terra fighting you can one shot most threats in the game, and them being asleep sets them up for a lose lose situation
Always was one of those Pokémon that should be in the scizor tier in terms of the respect it’s shown by the games. Now they need to work on ampharos next
Great video - hadn't thought about this! Your thumbnail was really captivating and your video editing was awesome. I thought the transitions were really smooth and the text and images you included provided a lot of great context to your narration without cluttering the video. Looking forward to the next one!
Breloom has always been OP. My Alpha Sapphire playthrough Breloom has single-handedly fought 32 straight battles(Without switching out) in Pkmn Sun/Moon's Battle Tree, destroyed every Mega Rayquaza it's come across in competitive battles, and fought it's way through almost all 40 bouts in the Battle Tower without switching out. If Pokemon had Black Air Force energy, Breloom would be the Citizen Kane of Pokemon.
Life orb, technician, mach punch, sword dance, spore and bullet seed with terra fighting is a menace. You spore and then use sword dance and It ohkos max def scizor for exsample. It’s insane
Normally Swords Dance is better than Bulk Up. You need fast damage and Swords Dance doubles your Attack in one use. Spore people so they end up sleeping then set up once and go crazy with Mach Punch or the Bullet Seeds.
Yeah I directly thought of them while making this, Cinccino would have been really good with technician and the loaded dice. It also had Tail Slap, Bullet Seed and Rock Blast
Just finally remembered an SV pokemon who sports more than one multi hit move and doesnt have skill link: Heracross. Pin Missile, Rock Blast, Bullet Seed and the weakest of the 4, Arm Thrust. He used to skill link these with his mega, so loaded dice gives it back in a way.
A bad base speed and fragility defenses will ensure that it will never be dominating any modern metagame. You can make this argument that any Pokemon can be effective with the right support teammates lol.
I run a Heracross with Moxie and all its moves are multi hit: Arm Thrust - Pin Missle - Bullet Seed - Rock Blast with rock Tera type while holding Loaded Dice, quite a beast to clear the game content XD
Believe it or not, most top-level players haven't been using Loaded Dice. Instead, the idea is to either have a Focus Sash or a Choice Band. The Choice Band in particular makes even a 3-hit Bullet Seed comparable to a guaranteed 4-hit off Loaded Dice, while also boosting Close Combat's power. For example, a 248HP/252Def Orthworm is OHKOd by Close Combat nearly 70% of the time, while a 3-hit Choice Band Bullet Seed is a guaranteed 2HKO even with Leftovers recovery. Also, experiments have been done with a Tera Blast set utilizing Tera Fire to combat Bug types. Since Tera Blast becomes a physical move on Breloom, pokemon like Lokix get wrecked for a near-to-guaranteed OHKO off of Choice Band Technician Fire Tera Blast 1:33 Bulk Up is seen as an unviable move, considering Focus Sash lets Breloom live a hit and counter with a STAB Close Combat coming off of base 130 Attack.
Not really, most set ran poison heal. Also Seed Bomb was much more viable than Bullet Seed back then. Also, this video is too show how much the loaded dice and terastilizing drastically improve Breloom.
Sadly, Pokemon Home has FINALLY pushed Breloom out of OU after years of remaining at least somewhat relevant. It's now UU. Whether it stays UU thanks to its combination of Spore, high Attack and STAB Technician Mach Punch is yet to be seen.
No, because Population Bomb works differently. It actually checks accuracy for each hit, and only stopping when a hit misses. Therefore, you want the Wide Lens, which boosts its accuracy from 90% to 95%. This may not seem like much, but this increases the chance of getting 10 hits from ~60% to ~90%.
It's a hidden ability, so it's pretty. Usually Tera Raids with higher star ratings have Pokemon with their hidden abilities or get an ability patch. An ability patch is quite tedious as it has a small chance of appearing in 6 star raids.
This is not as good as It seems sure the calc is right but not really that worth It spending an item slot to boost one move is not Very good, If we terá into a fighting type and hold a choise Band close combat has 310 Power wich is better than the garanted 4 hits but the Band also boost bullet seed and Mach punch and any other atacking move or we could use a Focus sash and get 2 garanted 240 Power (terad) close combats. The number might look impresive but its not worth It breelon is Still great but loaded dice really isn't that good
That's a fair argument. But Close Combat and Choice Band have one very impactful weakness, you can only use one move per switch, so in order to use a nother move, you will have to switch. If a ghost type appears, you will be forced to switch. Close Combat also lowers your defenses which makes Breloom easier to kill. But again, that is a fair argument.
That is why I mentioned the support it needs. It's got a great damage output and setting up using Spore. I don't quite understand why you call this clickbait
