Old guy here. Watch out for the "secret contract" where you do things for women hoping they will like you romantically. You get friend zoned at best or are rejected as creepy at worst. (This is covered in this video and others). Talk less. When in doubt, say nothing. Work on yourself. Constantly work on yourself. Don't just "do what you love" or "just be yourself"; do what you have to do even if it sucks. Be a Goddamn man and be stoic. The world sucks and its not "fair" the world has never been fair and never will be. Accept that, you will be happy. I wish we had channels like this when I was younger. Don't learn the hard way. Never stop living and improving PS. Watch your health and goddammit, buy a scale. They are cheap. Don't get fat.
Just stay gamma you will not be happy being a sigma. Being sigma means being true to yourself. It's natural for us to be lone wolf's. It's not for everyone.
@BlokeBox, that #1 change is right on point. Because of the natural intelligence of the Gamma being close to on par with the Sigma they probably have the best shot of growing into the Sigma mentality. They only need to let go of the many preconceptions that cling too for a more realistic pragmatism, harder than it sounds, but there's only rewards on the other side of the transition. For the Gamma guys out there, I once stood where you are and I would never go back. Believe in yourself and make the most of your life, one minute after another. 👍
@@jellyfish2535, as I said before the change isn't easy, it is however simple in concept. Delta and Sigma personality types share a common origin in the fact that they were labeled in accordance with their mathematical association. Delta persons are INSANELY adaptive to the point where you cannot pin them down as a single personality type as they from one to the next to fit the needs of their present. Similarly Sigmas are a summary of all the other personality types, taking all the traits that serve each type best and then making a personalized combination to maximize their own strengths. This requires a large amount of unbiased people watching and analysis both externally and internally. A "simple" concept that is much harder to do in practice. Sigma almost ends up being only confirmable by the lifestyle of hyper-analytics and observations. From personal experience I spent around 20 years trying to simply define what I meant when I said "love", I needed to have a specific definition and explanation for a single word, and spent two decades analyzing myself and others before I finally found a definition that has satisfied me.
@@afakayu5176, sure. I'd been told my whole life that there were different sorts of love: the love of a parent, the love of a sibling, the love of a friend, the love of a spouse, ect. But I wanted to have a universal definition that would apply as a threshold that made all of these "love" and not just friendship or loyalty, so here's my definition that I distilled over the years. If I want to see your tomorrow being better than your today; I care about you. If I want to see your tomorrow be better than your today and I'm willing to help when I'm able; then I am your friend. And if I want to see your tomorrow be better than your today, and I'm willing to do something to better your life even when it costs me something; then I love you. In this way I not only have a clear threshold to know when it is love, and the strength of love felt can be measured by the degree of sacrifice before the act of loving someone becomes a burden.
I am personally a Gamma male, but now that I am watching auto-self improvements video, starting to go to the gym, taking risks and being my own it feels that I am finally becoming a Sigma or any other male. A series of personal upheavals from 2017 to 2019 led me to spend the bulk of my time alone in a condo. Then when the pandemic hit and my once self-imposed isolation became enforced, I made the most of it - such as, for starters, by losing more weight with 9 months' worth of home workouts than I ever managed hitting the gym for 10 years until then. Now it's 2022 and I'm still not where I'd like to be, but I'm happy to say I've come a long way from where I used to be just by aiming to improve even just by 1% daily.
Gamma and Sigma are the same person. Sigma is born as a Gamma who develops later into a Sigma. There's no other way out for a person who is intelligent and creative. If you ask any Sigma he will agree. As for the record, there are only three type of men. Alpha, Beta and Sigma. Alpha seeks for rule and leadership. Beta seeks for comfort and a nice living. I feel so clearly I am a gamma and sigma mix... I take risks, but I am very emphatic and kind. It's important to understand the boundaries so that YOU won't hurt yourself.
I’ve got about half the traits of each. I think as I’ve become more mature I’ve been transitioning from Gamma to Sigma. It’s very difficult to overcome one’s own negative traits. It seems that the major differences are having courage and being a realist without allowing yourself to misinterpret what others say and do.
Growing up as a teenager, I had been omega mixed with Beta before I became mature. Now that I learned from my experiences, I learned that I am becoming a Sigma male with some Alpha traits. Know that a person is not merely limited to black, white, or yellow but can also have traits from other male archetypes. You can be a Sigma with some traits of Beta. However, what "defines" a person's archetype is the most dominant archetype. It can be seen through tests.
I saw a previous video on how gramma's think that they're sigma and was questioning whether or not I was a gamma or not. But looking at this video, not only did I transform into a sigma, I always had more traits of the sigma. I guess I was always a hidden sigma before I solidified myself as one.
I have been working on trying to figure out which type applies to me. My wife always said I was an Alpha and how it was so odd that me and my best friend got along so well both being Alpha. I always knew I wasn't an Alpha but I knew I wasn't a Beta recently I had discovered Sigma which sounds so much more like me. This has caused me to search out other types as Sigma isn't quit right. I can be Alpha as needed I'll step into that position but once an Alpha is there I let them do thier thing. So many of the Gamma traits describe me and how I view myself but that was me I was 100% a Gamma, and I still have the empathy that seems to be attached with them. But I think I naturally made the switch from Gamma to Sigma back before I met my wife in 2006. I do still have some Gamma traits where I'm social, but I don't need the social approval if you don't like me I don't care. But I frequently lack confidence mostly in my work.
Then don't. These are just categories of classifications. Be your own thing, be your best self that you can be, that's it. Oh, also don't be a total deg-en-era-te clown, I guess.

I have been a borderline gamma sigma all my life. Recently I read something that I truly believe is THE defining characteristic. Handsome attractive = SIGMA Average or less + GAMMA Might, just might be the AVERAGE looking guy thing in me but....(Gamma excuse???) Woman that have told me they think I am handsome, AWSOME. Women want to remain friends...."I'm just not attracted to you in THAT WAY." Another thing, Gamma/Sigma guys,... "go" for the Sigma woman. Worth it!
Part 2 - Pulled over by the police We left off with the police officer commanding me to take my hands out of my pockets. I was a bit nervous and my body was starting to shake; as his hand slid towards his side where his weapon was. Much like your upper lip might quiver or muscles in your arm might twitch when standing close to someone who has the capacity to inflict a lot of damage. This also happens sometimes to beginning mountain climbers, when they get to a certain height and their leg goes spastic. It's an effect of adrenalin; and CAN be controlled; but it's something that needs a lot of practice to do so. My wires got crossed for a second and as a pacifying body language gesture to calm my nervous system for a moment and take stock of his almost 180 degree change in demeanor, I instinctively put BOTH hands in the pockets of my hoodie, doing the exact OPPOSITE of what he had directed. He screamed at me to take them out; and at this point I had had enough. After making sure that I had taken my hands out of my pockets as he had 'requested', I made a strategic decision to bite back a little... just enough... to knock some sense loose in that apparently thick head of his. It worked.... we then got into a heated conversation, where each of us tried to get the other one to understand our respective points of view. Realizing that this wasn't going to end up in me being shot or getting into a fight with him; I moderated my own tone, used softening words, mirrored back his own concerns and let him know that I respected him; but that I wouldn't stand to be attacked for no reason. At one point, he pointed out that HE was going back to his family that night; and I said I was, too. Guys, this is a VERY difficult thing to do; when you've been attacked in the past by unreasonable police officers, tazed, slammed to the ground, and even maced or pepper sprayed in both eyes; as I have on earlier occasions; but I knew that if I just let him get away with bossing me around and abusing me verbally; that he would get used to that dynamic; and would be less likely to listen to reason. Therefore, I SHOCKED him out of his position and mindset on purpose, to interrupt a mind state which favored him giving me a ticket, or sending me to jail and treating me like a bad guy. In order to do this effectively; I had to gauge accurately his own state of mind, and how attached he was to his own ego; and how willing he was to throw down with me. And in order to do that, I used all the information from the time that he pulled behind me in his vehicle, to the time he walked up to my window, leading right up to the present moment. This helped me get an overall FEEL for what needed to be done, as well as using logical reasoning points to help me decide what outcome I wanted and what decision was most likely to lead me there. You have to be pretty sure of yourself; and willing to take an enormous risk, which I was and was willing to do. I was also ready to go back to jail if need be; and go through yet another year or two of hell; just to stand up for myself. Because to me, it's about testing your mettle, standing up for the principle of a thing; and understanding that every decision you make sets a precedent for how you will view and treat yourself and how others will do the same. It's not just about that one transaction or interaction; but about how things play out repetitively and play off one another through time. I believe this is something that a Sigma male is more willing to do than an Alpha, Beta, Gamma, or any of the other types. To risk some danger, even at times, their own freedom; for something even greater. It was a teaching moment for both of us; and possibly for others that he would come across when he retold the story - as no doubt; because of my seemingly peculiar behavior - it would. I think Sigmas weigh out the risks and then take the plunge if they feel strongly enough about something. Therefore, though at times I may act like a Gamma... there seems to be much more dog in the fight when it's absolutely necessary. I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm a full blown Sigma. But I'll say that I tend to tick most of the boxes most of the time; and MOST IMPORTANTLY... I'm willing and have SHOWN CONCRETELY ENOUGH that I'M WILLING TO WORK ON MY OWN PERCEIVED DEFICIENCIES. It seems that Gammas tend to be deluded about their capacity; and their willingness to shoulder accountability and responsibility for the way the world treats them. Some traits that I had to exhibit to a high degree in order to get out of that whole altercation without even so much as a warning or a ticket are: 1) Self-Confidence 2) Planning 3) Situational Awareness 3) Ability to QUICKLY ADAPT 4) Exuding a Commanding Presence in front of someone with a much higher perceived authority 5) Mental Gymnastics, Analyzing in the moment my own psychology, his; and how to best maneuver the situation to my advantage 6) Emotional Intelligence, Social Calibration, knowledge of the effect of voice tone, rhythm, expressing JUST ENOUGH VULNERABILITY TO APPEAR HUMAN AND LESS THREATENING, placating hand and facial gestures, and knowledge of the role of PROXIMITY 6) Courage to try something after weighing the pros and cons which could dramatically alter the outcome 7) Competence in managing my own emotions, responses and reactions by being able to take an instant step back, monitoring my own ego, and weighing the benefit of drawing attention to the obvious unequal power dynamic, while not appearing at all weak In a way, what I've demonstrated, were many of the better tendencies and competencies of a combined Psycho and Sociopath. Over time, I've learned how to, in the heat of a very dangerous situation, calibrate my responses. If I were in the hood, wearing a red bandanna, in the Bloods territory; I would have had to use other tactics. If I were in a foreign country, dealing with corrupt officials, I would have had to use different tactics. If I were on the battlefield, with many people trying to kill me, out in the jungle somewhere, I would have had to use other tactics. If I were in the boxing ring; I'd have to adapt. If I were in a bareknuckle no holds barred kind of match, it would require different tactics. If up in an airplane, different tactics. If suddenly, I found myself and someone else who wanted to hurt me or many who wanted to hurt me, in my own home, or theirs, or in the ocean, a lake or a river... it would require different tactics. Facing a female officer would require a different approach given both the times and her need to prove her worthiness against male derision on the force. A Sigma is going to pick up on this; and a mature Sigma, will eventually teach themselves how to handle very diverse situations that may arise. If they have no knowledge; then, they'll rely on all previous experience and a highly developed gut instinct of exactly what to do next in the present moment. More experienced Sigmas; will be able to, at the very same time, be able to strategize priorities and best combinations of decisions given LONGER TERM CONSEQUENCES. It's about not giving in to either panic or ego when faced with a dangerous or tricky situation. I think this, besides my resilience in the face of repeated failures, has been my recommendation as a Sigma.

So I got 69% percent gamma male on a manosphere test I did, but I swear in most aspects with women irl I'm sigma. I detect narcissistic women a mile off, I'm indifferent, barely acknowledge them and I'm genuinely not interested. Maybe a mix of both.
Part 1 - Pulled over by the police I'm definitely romantic. But I don't believe that's a quality that is exclusive to the Gamma male. Rather everything that is said here and said elsewhere lies on a rather complex spectrum. I've been an asshole to both guys and women. I've also been very kind and caring and incredibly generous. When I learned that reciprocation at the level of energy I was willing to and eager to put out, was not all that forthcoming from MOST people... I made a strategic/tactical decision to practice EXTENSION, WAIT and SEE, MODERATE EXTENSION, of my time, energy and attention. This seems to have stood the test of time with all manner of people. I no longer feel resentful; because I've managed my expectations, learned a bit of detachment; and taken the time to reflect deeply on the common denominator through all my experiences... namely, me. My dad once told me, "You better damn well HOPE the problem is YOU; because otherwise, you're TOTALLY FUCKED!" It was his way of saying that if the problem came from outside of me; then I had no real way of addressing it adequately. I've tried to live by that concept. Tonight, I was pulled over by the police. I was driving to go pick up a delivery van for my mentor to deliver some food product to Denver. I live in Boulder. I stopped at a red light, made an executive decision to take off again, once I felt that the light would stay red for too long. I drove through the red light while everyone was stopped and a cop on my left made a left-hand turn behind me. He stayed behind me for quite a while; and I'm guessing due to the fact that there wasn't much of a shoulder; and would have been dangerous to pull me over right away. I sensed him; though I couldn't see in the dark what kind of make or model he was driving. But I seem to have a sixth sense for these kinds of things. Wish it would have kicked in earlier; but at the same time, was a great experience. We both started off friendly enough; and I already had two of the documents out ready to hand to him. I couldn't find my registration right at that moment; but assured him that it was mine. Was I drinking? No. He told me to stay in the vehicle and I searched for my registration and found it. At some point, he called out to me to get out of the vehicle; so I did and walked toward him, registration in hand. But his demeanor had changed; and I picked up on it instantly through his tone of voice, the way he was braced and how he commanded me curtly to take my hand out of my pocket. I should have known better. Some background, while living on the street I was slammed to the ground and harassed by the police a few times. I had just gotten off Probation after pleading to a lesser charge so I wouldn't continue to be hounded by them, having money periodically taken; and under the constant threat of possibly going to prison for something I never did. All this was in the back of my mind; and I knew they had lap tops with all that information and more on me. I'll continue in another comment; because this is kind of long...
well actually i'm not a gamma it looks like i'm neither kind, or a people pleaser actually prefer the opposite to be honest, i'm not romantic and actually i despise the real life romance and only can tolerate so much fictional romance, only trait i might have that fits gamma is the intelligence part and not taking risk/fearing failure but i think it's more to do with until now the risks never was equal to what would i gain and i will admit that i am a lazy and uninterested person who is indifferent to most things so in my eyes even if i did gain anything it wouldn't worth the effort i would put into it but if i believe what i will gain is worth the effort and even better risk and rewards measure similiar or in my advantage i am almost an workaholic to the point of being obsessed
Gamma male points #6 and #7 are spot on. Sigma male point #4 is as well. Having written that, it’s difficult to see how such a transition from the former to the latter is likely or even possible. I firmly believe that Sigma males are formed through early childhood trauma as a form of coping mechanism. Think “what I see and experience in your entire world is fucked up, so I refuse to comply. I’ll just make my own path in life” Do you really think a Gamma can choose to take that path?
A Gamma could become a Sigma. What is needed for this is the appropriate attitude change, as well as a shift in priorities and values. Nurture can play a role as well, not just nature. And we never stop learning throughout our entire lives.
I’m going to have to respectfully disagree with all three comments. IMHO, there are some men, many of them natural leaders (alphas) for whom the entire hierarchy has become untenable. Such men, just go “do their own thing”, and no longer even care what the pack does. If an alpha decides to challenge, and the sigma prevails, the sigma would just go along his own path and not try to lead the newly leaderless group. Such is the sigma way. If I understand you correctly, it is primarily this point, that you are questioning, aren't you? Assuming you're right, doesn't that mean, that any attempt to improve yourself is inevitably bound to fail? Incidentally, I agree with you, that it is the most outstanding feature of the Sigmas to 'do their own thing', so there was no need to point it out again (at least not for me). That's what I was trying to convey with the 'healthy kiss-my-backside-attitude' phrase. I probably expressed myself a little too flippantly in this regard.

If you want to be a sigma, you must at first like the movies: American Psycho, No country for old men, Nightcrawler, Taxi Driver and Fight Club. You also need a personality like them, and dont watch porn.
It's not only you. That's for every Gamma in this world. The only difference is on what time of lifespan it happens. All the Sigmas once were Gammas. They still have Gamma traits within but they are too good for hiding it. The Gamma's kindness to other people has become the respect of Sigma. When you are too kind and don't take the same in exchange, then the least you can do is to become respectful to others, of course till one point.
I have watched about two dozen videos just like this one. There is no such thing as a man who is more of a man or less of a man than any other man. Alpha Males - Beta Males - Gamma males it's all crap! Every man can be as successful as any other man if others choose to allow him to be - if they don't he will be sitting alone in his room all of his life because that's where they want him to be - not because that's where he wants to be! This is why some men never get married and have no children also - it's not because they are less of a man than others! Because as I already said there is not such thing as a man who is less of a man than another!

U r who u r. The whole point of a sigma is accepting ones self. A sigma would've never try to change oneself, Only improve. U either r or u Arnt. People can adopt the behaviors of sigma but one cant "transition to one".
There are also ambivert Sigmas who can adapt, blend and vibe in a particular social circle. Besides, we humans possess freewill & choice like we can choose to improve ourselves or not. It's also possible that an Alpha can be a Sigma as well.

I enjoy these videos learning about myself, but there is no way you can become a sigma. You are born this way. You can work on our positive traits, but you can't become us anymore than a beta can turn into an alpha.
