You should seriously have blown up by now...been hooked since I watched your StarCraft video. Always supporting, keep going! (I've yet to see your channel update video, by the way. So if I said something which isn't relevant anymore, excuse me!)

Thanks for the support! Currently on a semi-hiatus while I get my new podcast sorted. It’s called PixelLit. However once we reach a level of automaticity with that then I plan on coming back with new content.

I only listened partway through because of spoilers (good stuff!), but this is a topic I'm pretty passionate about. Melancholy is probably the primary emotion I want to evoke in the games that I make (and stories that I write). "Dark, sad, but with a glimmer of hope" is how I often describe it. Media that has touched me the most often has that quality. When it comes to games, I would mention Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Nier: Automata and Shadow of the Colossus (Death Stranding feels like this as well, but I haven't finished it yet). All of them, in different ways, have this beautiful sadness about them that makes the whole experience more powerful. I'm a new subscriber, by the way. Keep doing what you're doing, this is really great content! :)

I love this video so much. It's so in-depth and it seems like a lot of effort was put into this. Sadly so few people have seen this. They don't know what they're missing I guess.

Really interesting to listen to. Could've used some video footage though. The option to listen to it as a podcast is always there by just not watching the screen.

Sadness within video game stories is much easier to achieve. Melancholy is such a hard emotion to transfer from any media. Death Stranding would have been another fantastic case study. Well timed! Love this piece!
