Hi Eric, great content as usual. My business partner and I aren't too sure which NAICS code to register with for our Service Disabled Veteran Run Small Business. We have a wide range of services we specialize in and don't want to box ourselves into a corner. Any ideas or suggestions of who we can reach out to help us figure out which code best suits our business? Thanks.
Eric, although this is an old video I feel that I was directed here to get this very message from the dialogue between you and the caller. Not the “Government Advice” that you so eloquently and simply LAID out but the fact that while you MADE IT YOUR BUSINESS to school this young man, he INSISTED on you SPOON FEEDING him... Thank you for giving most of us a 2 part lesson today. Watch the FREE videos (COURSE) Faith without WORKS IS DEAD Pay for the 1 On 1 Session w/Eric Peace, Love and Success everyone!
Yo I feel frustrated for you. This guy wasn’t even really listening to you. People want everything spoon fed to them for free. All they want to know is how fast you can make money with out even trying to learn the how. I’m going to do some research and take your courses and come back to you a bit more knowledgeable hopefully. I own an international shipping company and I believe I can benefit a lot from what you’re teaching. Thank you.
Correct. He was not listening which is why today he is off chasing the next shiny object while had he listened he would be in business right now chasing these federal dollars.
Hay Eric, I am from Afghanistan and I have worked with U.S Military for more than 3 years in Contracting office as an admin assistant and interpreter, currently I live here in the New Jersey United States, I cam through a program called "SIV" and I have all the legal documents here in the U.S. I have currently set up a contracting company here in New Jersey and would like to do contracts for the U.S military in Afghanistan, but I will actually need your assistance in terms of proposal writing and bidding on projects, if you want to get into partnership with me please let me know so I can exchange my contact info with you, I have and can provide all the sources and resources in Afghanistan for any kind of project out there. But again I will need yours or someone like you partnership in terms of management and bidding on projects.
Hey Think.. my name is Ameer and i am a government contractor my self.. i do mostly for middle east. get in touch .. may be we can work something out. sales@zelphatrad.com my website: medinask.com would love to link up with you guys and make a strong team .
The answer is maybe. Are you a US citizen? Did you sign up for selective service when you were 18? Just some of the finer points that most people will not tell you about.
Hi, I’m totally off topic but can u use the same LLC connected with SAM as a DBA for another business? Please respond I don’t want to mess anything up. Thank you in advance 😊
Yes you can as long as you are bidding for a solicitation that is using the same LLC. For example your LLC bids for supply of paper, you can also use the same LLC to bid for supply of computers. If the same LLC can do logistics services, you can also bid for logistics solicitations as well.
heres an advanced question....I did one contract as a prime for 12k at the end of last year. I used supplier credit to purchase 3 bp machines which i in turn sold to dla. Fed sent me a tax form for the 12k....What should I do about understanding how taxes work in this
JB this is an easy situation to resolve with a decent accountant. You only owe taxes on the profit; and as a business owner you only pay taxes on what is left after allowable "business expenses" deductions. Which means that you will probably end up owing close to zero.
Wassup Eric, Been watching you on and off, Your'e very consistent and how you do it makes you the Goat. I want in Brother dedicating the next 3 months of my life for this specifically, I would like to be the liaison between M/WBE and Gov. Thanks for the information King!
Eric said go back to school scaries then after make it out the trap house come holla at me and on a up an up we all gotta put ourselves thru it no one can feel your organism but you!
Hi I do have a question if you do not mind blessing me with your expertise. So l am a middle man how can I or what is the best approach to submit a capability statement using the company that I am thinking to give the work for? Shall I put all their past performance as if it is mine or I have to mention that I am a subcontractor and this statement is for my contracted company?.. or there is a better way? Thanks
probably a stupid question, but do you need a entity to bid on fed bid? You said anyone can bid on there. Just not exactly sure on what you meant by that.
The government does not catalog the proposals of other firms. Using a FOI request you can only request the correspondence from the government. If you bid the project you can see the Bid Tally Sheet or a post award debriefing. www.theonebusinessproposal.com/post-award-debriefing-letter-template.html
Hey Eric, do I need an FFL license to be am arms broker? Since we are not actually handling the arms I didn't know if I license. My partner is outside of the US and i feel like it may be difficult to get the license.
Mr Eric I would like know will this journey replace my full time job ? Can I start this journey while being employed? You understand the time constraint I don’t
You say that it's as "simple as knowing the requirement, go on the internet and find the people who make it and manufacture it, find out the cost and you provide that to the government." But what's not said is that you have to be an authorized reseller/distributor of these products to sell to the government. So if a contract is asking for 10 iPad Minis, you will not be able to bid on this item, because you can't just buy these iPad Mini's from Best Buy or another authorized dealer, and turn around and sell them to the government. That's illegal.
If this is a new invention you would have to attend events like Air Force pitch day: www.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/1732257/40m-available-for-start-ups-small-businesses-through-air-force-pitch-day/ Army Futures Command: www.army.mil/article/210371/establishment_of_army_futures_command_marks_a_culture_shift www.stripes.com/news/army-s-new-futures-command-to-set-up-headquarters-at-university-of-texas-1.537995 If you send me an email I can help with more information.
So this is sort of like wholesaling real estate connecting a buyer and a seller is this legal to do with government contracts to be the middle man and make a fee ?
I recently started the bidding process on FedBid. We just did our first bid, and I believe that we were in the "Lag selection". My apologies if I'm mistaken on the verbiage. Can you explain what does this mean and what can I do to win a FedBid bid? I'm currently on the last stage in the SDVOSB certification process. In your opinion what are your thoughts about this certification and does it give me an advantage in the government contracting sector?
Hello eric! I am currently in college, I have just started looking into contracting and was wondering how realistic it would be to do this. I have some resources including an LLC that could be used and contacts that could work for potential contracts. Would it be a realistically doable feat to do this as a job on the side, or would it be best to wait until I have more experience. basically is it easy enough for a college student with the right resources to begin. and if it is, where should I begin on educating myself, because I will admit I am pretty ignorant to the workings of this industry.
Yes a college student can do this. I would say you can learn it on the side but not really "do it" on the side. With that said you are in the right place for all your learning needs.
