You can set a sample folder by using the Halionsonic Browser. You can even save favourite sample folders if you want :) that’s what I did to create my presets and it was a breeze :)

yes it does work on Mac but you'll have to buy Halion as it's not included in Ableton Live.

I guess you can get HALion sonic for free, can't you?

The magic of video editing. i've seen it done before with plugins so they look like hardware synths.

It’s better to use the Halionsonic built in browser to drop in your samples. It works so much better than dropping stuff from the Finder and you can even save favourite folders and preview samples! If you use the finder I think the problem is you must set halionsonic in Always On Top mode. Right click on the top bar (just under the Mac system buttons) and click always on top. I would still recommend doing this from the Halionsonic browser though. I’ve made a tutorial about it this on the official Steinberg X-Stream sound design video :)

It's downloadable on Steinberg Download Manager, but I don't see any way to get a license for it? It shows up in Halion, but it's locked. Nothing to activate when it tries to.
