I am currently preparing an online school for Japanese language learners whose dream is to be able to speak Japanese. The school’s number one goal is to help people who are not confident in speaking Japanese learn to speak it well. We create memorable classes that resonate emotionally with students, so that when it’s time to speak, you will find yourself speaking naturally. The content of the class itself is created by a Japanese language teacher, myself, and a designer. Since I am not a professional Japanese language teacher, I thought it would be better to have a professional teach instead. The fee has not been finalized yet, but it will be about the same as other Japanese language schools.
Classes will be offered every 3 months (1 term) starting next April. We are preparing 3 courses per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and 2 courses per week (Tuesday, Thursday) for 3 months.
In order to maintain the quality of the classes, we, unfortunately, can not take many students in the beginning.
So, if anyone is interested, please pre-register using the link below, as we are considering admitting students on a registration basis. This will help us understand if we need additional teachers.
There seems to be a lot of people who can't speak Japanese even though they can understand it pretty well. Many of you learning Japanese have no idea how to practice your conversational skills or how to not sound unnatural or textbookish. In this video I'm trying to help you guys get better at conversational Japanese with my experience of studying Chinese. Hope you find the video useful and interesting!

The conbini story definitely resonated with me! When I was buying books from a bookstore in Japan the lady said something to me at the checkout and I had NO idea what she was saying and I freaked out! After she explained what she meant in different words and showed me, it turns out she was asking if I wanted the book's plastic wrap taken off and replaced with a paper protective cover. At least now I'll never forget that situation and I'll know for next time :')

I´m Brazilian and I´ve been living in Japan for about 22 years and I can´t speak Japanese the way I should. I really don't have good experiences with Japanese people in my past. I believe that´s the reason I have this block to learn Japanes. I learned English on my own just watching movies and TV shows, I´m not saying my English is of a very high standard, but I can say everything I think and feel. Forgive me for writing so much but for the first time in 22 years I really wanted to learn Japanese because of your videos. This may seem silly to everyone else, but it´s very important to me. My daughter is going to Japanese school and I feel ashamed for not being able to help her with homework. My point is, you´re being very important to me, thank you so much for recording to take your free time and give to people like me who really need helping to start unterstand basic Japanes to live here. I hope you can read my comment some day and understand how important you´re to me. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU VERY MUCH

I can understand 95% of the video content. Surprisingly i only just realized i could watch simple slow youtube videos like this great video without subs. However, when asked to speak, my brain will freeze. I don't live in Japan and therefore i have no chance at all to speak or communicate in Japanese with others. That aside, I really love your video! They talk about important stuff that are needed instead of focusing on grammars and such. Really love your videos bud. Underrated channel man!

Ahh when I was studying in Japan and went to the conbini for the first time I had a similar experience😂 there are so many special „conbini phrases“ and the shop workers say them so insanely quick because it their routine, that I didn’t understand a word and was very confused. Later, i searched on RU-vid for a video that explains the most common conbini phrases, and luckily there were a few! I watched them a few times, practiced with myself and from then on i was the conbini shopping expert, lol. But I really feel you, I was quite scared at first as well! It’s also because I thought my Japanese was quite good, so I was very shocked, when I couldn’t understand a word. But that’s also because you really don’t learn this day to day Japanese in class, and that really sucks.. I had a similar experience in a restaurant a few days later, haha. So I went back to RU-vid to master my restaurant phrases😂👍🏻

This is probably one of my longest posts I ever made but I want to deeply thank you for this channel. I tried to learn Japanese on my own a decade ago in high school (I live in the USA so Japanese wasn't a thing it was mostly Spanish and French along with Cantonese,) and discovered that everything I learned was wrong (just 20 words, barely any kanji and not really good fundamentals,) so I decided to try it again as if I'm going from scratch at the start of this year as a new year resolution (after beating depression.) I set a goal to keep myself focused; to get N3, go back to school, study to get least N2-N1, and then get a better job. I wanted to also know conventional Japanese so I can speak to locals and others without sounding like a robot. This channel helped me so much and I love the way you talk and how it's not super fast-paced. The options are wonderful. This along with Japanese from Zero (which talks about how to bow and many Japanese customs) is helping me and keeping me motivated with current events and in general with my studies.

I agree, this is the reason why i really like your videos and way of teaching. It sounds natural. Many Japanese Language Videos and classes can't teach you how to naturally converse with natives. I had a similar story. I was in Japan for a month. I really wanted to practice the little Japanese that I know and thought 7-11 would be great. I was nervous too. After I paid, she asked if I wanted a bag, but I didn’t know what she was saying. 😭 Next day, I now know Fukuro means bag, so I’m ready, but then because I got Onigiri this time, she asked “Onigiri atatame masu ka?” Again I didn’t know what that meant 😭 Third day, I mean I know Fukuro and Atatame masuka now so I should be okay right? After I paid, she said something I didn’t understand again!! My friend later told me that she asked if I have or want a membership card. 😭 Why is she always asking me something new everytime?! 😭 lol

I really think the daily talking is important. I learned Japanese in the internet,so I knew nothing about its grammar I have study the grammar maybe 4 months ago, and then I realize that a lot of the grammar in textbook won't come out in daily talking. I think that lots of the grammar from the textbook just like the function. You could fill the words in that, and it would be a sentence. But just like the Google translate, being a bit weird the native speaker.

I think I came late to comment on this video since you posted it almost a year ago. Anyway, I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the hard work you put into helping us, the Japanese learners, to improve and to feel more confident with our conversational skills. In my own experience, I can surely confirm that since I started watching your videos, I started to feel more confident while speaking and writing in Japanese. Before that time, I wasn't able to speak any sentence out loud and of course, once I got my ears used to the common daily spoken Japanese, I could complement it with my other skills making a lot of progress during my audio and writing tests. I have yet to feel confident to use one of those apps as HelloTalk and be able to talk to a native Japanese speaker but I feel that will come as time goes by. So thank you very much! I'm glad I found your channel! Keep it going! Greetings from Argentina.

I totally agree with your approach. I just wish there 日本語で書いてあう字幕。Would help to check the bits I didn’t catch. So happy you didn’t speak in English. It’s just a distraction.

よろしくお願いします〜⭐️ I really enjoy your videos. They help me a lot with both everyday Japanese and listening practice. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for making things easy to understand for intermediate Japanese learners!

Ah this video is so old but I'll ask anyway since I just found you. I'm hard of hearing so any content for disabled people would be absolutely awesome! Also just in general how it's like to live in japan as a disabled person or as a disabled tourist. That would be amazing to see.
