If you’re wondering. Brenden is not me, that’s Bodin. My pokeword accounts are Rosa and Nate, and Bodin’s are Brenden and May. Bodin is doing gen 3 pokewords, I’m doing gen 5 pokewords. Just to clear that up.
I’m pretty sure that the last spring jump was not a spring drop jump but simply a jump-off-a-spring-like-normal jump. I’m not good enough to try myself but it looks like that’s all it is; I think that’s why the coin indicators looked so different for that last jump.
@@susy4511 I need to find the passcode for it but there's this really cool mini-video game series this guy Alex did that had a similar Boo Tower concept for a boss battle. His entire levels are like minigames before very creative arcade style boss battles
0:29 this is actually from a different maker called bodin. they are covering gen 3 of pokemon with two accounts. shyguy64 is covering gen 5 with two accounts (the maker who made tepig which you got a month or two ago).
I think the powerups with clear conditions idea, to the point where I think it should be considered in game design as a way of implementing difficulty settings. You still need to do the section right to progress, but gives the game a way to let a player really struggling learn more efficiently, particularly if they need trial and error
I know you always smell cheese 🧀but the point of the multiple catsuits was to allow you to practice the level even if you failed the clearcon. Pretty good design actually!
I think waiting for the boo circle was good design. If you are good enough, you can skip it and not wait. If you arent, you’ll have to waste some time. It’s like how in Pokemon you are forced to waste time by going to a PokeCenter if you play badly (even the animation of the Pokemon getting healed is slow on purpose to punish you when it could easily be instant).
Thinking back on that spring drop level and how the coins were set up not to mention the distance Ryu covered it seems to me like you didn't have to do a spring drop and might've made it with a big ol spring jump from the platform?
hi ryu, i'd really enjoy if you gave a conclusion at the end of levels, you sometimes do, but then there are times where you play pretty creative levels, win and just cut to the next enjoying your content tho, keep it up
Maybe you are supposed to reach the coins while p-switch is active and jump off of them straight to the goal, making spring-drop not a mandatory part, but a punishment for slowing down? Dunno if it's possible to jump off of those coins while they are sill blocks or make all the way across, but it looks clos-ish enough
The Ryukahr Guarantee: Endless good times. Remember Nosepass from the Nuzlocke?… 7:05 Speaking of trees… Not a monster, a good level designer. That was good anti-cheese. NYANdra…… DIVE you fool!-Wait what?… 13:28 Yeah…it's a speedrun…… …I kinda liked that you died at the ants in stead of not figuring out the falling thing again…
Hey, Ryu, my good times watching this weren't unlimited! They ended after 27:39! How do I claim my money back under your guarantee?! Oh wait... That's right...
you fall in the last level because in 3d world the run button have 2 speed. you need to run for a little before getting the maximum speed needed to not fall
