Hi Rob, it would be very interesting if you could do an episode with Chriss Spicuzza talking about what he contributed in Chimaira that sound and atmosphere that he gave to each song and in each album and also that he can comment on what were the sounds or theme in which He was inspired to give that environmental and unique touch to each album he made with chimaira ... I am a big fan of you and just what I called the antencio was that touch of samples and keyboards that are a personal brand of you and therefore which I started doing with the world of sample ... greetings from peru Rob lml

I’m very glad Mark gets left to do what he does, life’s not all roses and it can be very lonely and confusing mentally sometimes, or even all the time, Pass Out of Existence hits me especially hard, and it’s an amazing feeling and source of strength and inspiration to see that someone can feel the same crippling hurt and anger that I often do, and be able to push past it and function and even go on to reach that “legendary” status that you guys as a band have. Chimairas always been a massive source of inspiration for me to keep on keeping on when life gets hard, thankful for you guys being as unfiltered and real as it gets when it comes to your art. Love these videos and thanks for everything!

I was at the NYC Jagermeister show in 2004! April. My first ever real concert. I'll never forget it. Sworn Enemy went on first that night. Everybody was incredible

That Jägermeister tour was my first concert when I was twelve or thirteen. Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines. Sadly the only time I was able to see you guys but it was an awesome fucking show.

Manifest was picked up by Netflix because it was canceled on whichever tv network it was on. They are giving the show runners an opportunity to write a proper ending. So sometime next year they will have a final season for Manifest.

One of the good things to come out of the pandemic is all these guys from cool metal bands suddenly had all this time on their hands, and some used that time to start RU-vid channels or podcasts, like this one. Rob, you should go on Rob Flynn's, or vice versa. Keep up the good work! 🤘 P.S. Being that you're late on everything, please tell me that you watched The Sopranos? 😄

You're right man! And I'm glad you also look for the silver lining in things! It's funny about the Sopranos. For years I've been meaning to watch it. People have been urging me to forever now. Me and the Chimaira guys even met Tony S. back in the day while we were shooting the Down Again video! And so, just recently I watched the Many Saints of Newark, which is supposed to be the prequel to The Sopranos. I thought it was alright. (And btw- I LOVE gangster stuff like Goodfellas and Casino) So then I decided the time was right to start The Sopranos from the beginning. I made it about 3 episodes, which I enjoyed, but then I decided it was too depressing! haha Tony seems to have so many problems day in and day out, that it made me mull over my daily hurdles, and it was kind of clouding my focus. So I hung it up. Perhaps I'll give it another try sometime down the road.

Makes a lot of sense with why we haven't seen a "Heart of it all" Playthrough thanks for that rob, I remembered I asked about it myself not long ago but not your fault that you can't exactly do that one, no point when it'll just get taken down all the time :) I remembered covering it for a School music performance and got an "A" grade for it and was my first A grading performances as my past ones were always B's or C+ grades

@@RobArnoldWorld Sadly it got lost over the years, was 2013 when I did the performance, I done all the leads besides the last solo at 7:26 - 8:24 part of the track. I added my own twist on the single string hammer on part with one bar i'd do the 3 hammer on 5 , 4 hammer on 6 and then 5 hammer on 7 as normal but then I'd go down two strings an do it as an octave 5 hammer on 7, 6 hammer on 8 , and then 7 hammer on 9

Hey Rob great episode as always and a real joy to see another EYL. A year and half in the life of Metallica. I once had both part 1 & 2 until a friend as if he could watch them. But I never got them back, because his children put there fingers inside the VHS cassette and they wouldn't play again on my VHS player. I was thinking of getting them again on DVD, but I haven't got round to it yet. On there other hand I have found them both on RU-vid. Which I have watched part 1 the other weekend. Games of thrones I've never got into that myself. I myself am into NCIS Los angels. As I'm a BIG fan of Marty Deeks. When it come to music. As you may know that I'm really into Thin Lizzy right now. I've almost got all of there albums. I've got 8 of them so far. New bands that I'm digging right now is a band called Cypecore. They sound a lot like Fear factory to me. Check them out with a song called "Chosen chaos". Anyways that's all for now. Cheers Rob for another EYL.

Speaking of Metallica, we all know Lars did Jason dirty on Justice which sucks because Jason is a killer bassist. But have you heard Justice with bass yet? If you haven't maybe consider a reaction video to it. The first time I heard Justice with bass I couldn't believe the extra dimension and depth that was added to an already masterpiece of an album. I should add that not all the mixes are good. Some are so bass heavy it drowns the rest of the song while others do it right and mix it in properly. Love your content! Keep it up my friend 🤘🤘

Please send me a link to a track from Justice with bass that you think sounds great! And just a disclaimer, I LOVE the Justice production, and it's one of my favorites. Thanks Josh! Ya know, I can't remember. There may be a time when the masters revert back to our control, or maybe not. Unfortunately our long time attorney lost his battle with cancer a few years ago, and he handled all that kind of stuff for us. And since then, no one has really been keeping up with any of it. So... I'm not sure, and I'm also not very optimistic about it either.

Rob, being such a huge fan of Metallica, did you ever check out the three paradise lost documentaries? I thought it was cool that they lent their music to those documentaries which I believe lead to the release of the west Memphis three.

It’s funny that u talk about arriving late on things because I’m bad for it as well. Just now getting into Trivium and As I Lay Dying smh. What bands are u listening to nowadays? I know u said u don’t have a lot of time but I also know a metalhead has that “need” lol. Loved the poster on ur video. That was the first time I was introduced to Chimaira. Went to the Columbus show on that tour and was totally blown away. Soooo hope u guys do an Xmas show or something again cuz u just don’t find music like urs anymore. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

Cool! Where was that show in Cbus? I can't remember at the moment! And not really listening to anything at the moment. Just my solo album stuff as I'm working on it day in and day out. I am looking forward to some new Opeth though, whenever that comes about. They're really the only band I highly anticipate releases from anymore. Oh, and while I haven't checked out any new Megadeth in years, for some reason I'm looking forward to checking out their new album when it hits. 🤘

It was cool to see Megadeth a couple of times on the tour that just ended. They were actually my first show back in ‘98 on the Cryptic Writings tour.

I was kinda disappointed that they didn’t play anything from it this round but they have a looong list to choose from so I bet it’s tough to narrow that down. Title track always got me. It’s just been so amazing to have shows back. U start to take things like that for granted and it leaves a void when it’s gone.

What was the whole point in imploding chimaira anyways everyone got scattered to lesser bands tried to band aid chimaira came together for a reunion tour to just lay down and die I love chimairas older stuff impossibility on besides crown of phantoms yeah mark Hunter had great content just wasn't chimaira tho look at some of the shit you guys put out that leaves a lasting impression on fans iam sure a ton of fans would agree I know if u guys made another album you'd have like 5 or 6 lasting songs that is 10 times better than bands out there again u guys were one of my guitar influences I loved the rhythm in almost any song and even the melodies c'mon guys pull it together give us at least 1 more epic album
