This song is amazing.. I remember when I first bought The Infection, I was open-mouthed at the heaviness of this song. Chimaira were always blessed with awesome drummers because some of the drum beats behind yours and Matt's guitars made the whole thing sound 10 times heavier. Could I please request a possible future video on how to play 'The Heart Of It All' If you do that, would you consider getting Mark and Jim back to do a rendition of it, like you did with Implements Of Destruction?

That's really cool! For me the Infection was the album I felt Chimaira was doing something different in really artistic way. This album had some cinematic feeling for me, which really liked and I think most people were waiting for another Power Trip or Resurection kinda songs. From my friends who listened to Chimaira before noone liked the Infection for some reason, but I did and still do! Thanks, Rob, for your content!)

Thankx for the video. This is a different album. It is Chimaira's "South of Heaven". The slower tempos allow f Room for the odd rhythyms and Spicuzzas work to shine thru. I also second Heart of It All !!

Love the channel Rob.. never forget my first time introduced to Chimaira.. I was 13.. at the National in Richmond, Va you guys opened for Killswitch... instantly fell in love with the band! It was like something out of a movie.. the fog.. the strobe lights.. at that moment I became a metal head. Fast forward a couple years later, I got to meet you at a random Mayhem Fest date and you were the nicest guy in the world. Since then I looked up to you guys and been trying to keep up with y’all since! Love all the work brother 🤘🏻

thanks rob this has been an extremely helpful lesson, i play drums as a kid so i fell in sink pretty fast, my issues are at the 180 bpm mark in the transitional points from a, to c . i find my self starting with an up pick instead of down, keeping my ear to the bass drum is helping me to overcome this. please i would love if you could make some more vids with 16 note and triplet patterns . thanks once again for an awesome lesson rob !!!

Should have known it was just a chromatic. Most tabs are wrong. I play all my low tuning with my bridge locked so I copied Matt from the coming alive dvd. Thanks for doing this simple riff, such a fun song to play. Love that guitar too.

Hey Rob I have a request for a quick riff. One that I know I haven't played right for years. 3 minutes in to The Flame there is the bridge section where there is that kick ass little riffage going on that starts in D. Not sure how quick that would be to pull off in a video but a very cool one.
