If you want to save money and look healthy and younger. Do not drink to much, smoke, or do drugs. Get enough sleep. Wash your face every night. Do not wear makeup every day. Drink water. Eat fruits especially berries, melons, and squash.

I'd add make life simple but be content with it. Don't have friends who pull you into drama and make you stressed out. Have boundaries. Don't let people stress you out. Move your body (doesn't need to be vigorous, walks or yoga).

It is well to remember that a smoker is an addict. U have to have a fix every so often. I started smoking at 14 and quit at 28. I am 88 now and I had a lung X-ray a couple of years ago and the Dr. said the effects of smoking were still visible. A side benefit of quitting smoking is that I have never had a migraine since I quit. I use to get one a month. Another benefit is the lack of brown tartar on the backs of my teeth. I too, think quitting smoking is the best thing one can do for ones health.

I'm from Europe and everybody around me has been smoking - be it my highschool classmates, university classmates, colleagues, just friends..... everybody smokes here... almost... when I was young, 14-20, I almost felt like an outcast because everybodoy was socializing when having a cig, for example we would have a break at the UNI and everybody just went outside the building to smoke and chat. Sometimes I would go out with them even if it was January winter, just to stand there with them in the cold, otherwise, I'd be somewhere at the buffet inside alone not being able to socialize with others or talk to my classmates. But I also kinda feel good that I didn't fall into this trap of smoking. I wish everyone who's trying to quit good luck. It's also weird to observe my colleagues to use every minute of free time during work, to have a smoke. It looks desperate. I can see them physically thinking about smoking as we are getting closer to having a break. If we have break 2 times, they'll smoke 2 times... If we have break 5 times, they'll smoke 5 times. It makes me feel sad for them. Addictions are weird and sad

I’m in the US and all of my peers drank when I was in college and they would tease me for not drinking. I gave alcohol a chance, but still only drank maybe 4 drinks per year over a period of 3 years. I stopped because it started making my blood pressure go up only after one beer because I’m so skinny that my body didn’t tolerate it well. I’m glad however that I didn’t make drinking part of my lifestyle because by now when I’m 30, I would have looked much older like my peers who were heavy drinkers and look like they are in their 40s now. I have an ex who was a heavy drinker and he looks like he’s pushing 50 and is only 35.

I’ve been telling friends for 30+ years that smoking dramatically ages the skins and if you combine it with tanning you are gonna look much older! Weirdly many of my friends that mostly smoked looked fine until a couple of months after their 40th birthday and then WHAM! Their wrinkles suddenly appeared. I was teased about my sunscreen/avoiding the sun in the 80’s and 90’s but I’ve converted some people to my sunscreen habit! Interesting about the stem cells. I was in a chemical acid when I was 9 and it weakened my lungs. I’m going to look into this!

Thanks for the video! Can you talk about the effects of marijuana smoking on beauty & health? I know it's not as bad as ciggarettes, but I would think that any type of smoke entering your lungs is probably not great. I just wonder to what extent.
@danielasalazar5289
@danielasalazar5289 2 года назад
Hey! I’ve heard a lot too from people that marijuana isn’t bad for you, but while doing research I’ve found that it is very bad. When people say it’s not bad I think it’s usually said because it’s not as bad as the other hard drugs and you can’t overdose from it but it’s actually as bad or even worse than tobacco in your body! It’s also bad for your lungs, skin, body organs in general, etc. and it can also give you cancer, it even has more cancerous chemicals than cigarettes. It also has a big impact on your brain because it weakens neural connections so you start to have problems with long term memory and learning and it also slows down your response.

let's be kind towards smokers; i never thought i would touch a cigarette, but knowing my mental health diagnosis helps to explain why i would self medicate with whatever was available to me. another way to prevent premature aging is advocating for comprehensive mental health education so all people have the opportunity to live their best lives looking the way they want to look rather than the way a substance affects their appearance!

I am an aesthetician, and something I have noticed with clients that smoke is, when they speak, only their bottom teeth show. I think it’s from sucking? It could just be a fluke; however, at some point, after I notice the bottom teeth, they tell me they smoke and ask me to pay attention to the tell tale areas. I always do; and, whether they see it or not, I give extra attention to their chin and jowls. When I try to talk (looking in a mirror), with only my bottom teeth showing, it is extremely uncomfortable as a non smoker. I was just wondering if this is a real characteristic or not. Has anyone else noticed this?

If Lindsay Lohan is watching this, I recommend she follow Grabrielle Bernstein. She was a drug addict. I remember her saying how much damage it did to her body and face and that it will take years to see changes back to a healthy and younger look as the body heals itself. Looking at Gabrielle now since she spoke about this, I do see great changes in her appearance. I really can't imagine the type of world Lindsay Lohan has had to deal with at such a young age. I hope she finds healing and peace, and takes the time she needs to find a healthy path and to treat her self and body with respect and love. There are so many opportunities for her to find that. It may take leaving the spotlight for a while and living abroad, and doing some meaningful work there.

Enhancers for smoke curl, color; crackle; burn & more. Cigarettes should be illegal. Families suffer, the health industry burdened. I grew up in smoke then worked in it 20 yrs, office lack of air circulation, had tremendous headaches. Indoor smoking is not allowed in any public facility/restaurant in GA. Thank goodness. I’m a man in my 50’s now and when I was dating I’d always avoid women that smoked because most of my family smoked and I saw the effects and I know that smokers rarely quit and for women, if they do finally quit, the damage is already in place and it’ll hit her later on as well as near term. Actually cannabis is a completely different substance from tobacco and far less toxic to the body. While it is never good for the lungs to smoke anything, there is still a huge difference between smoking cigarettes and smoking cannabis. If you wanna protect your body from the smoke but still get the effect of the marijuana, you can get one of those weed vaporizers, which doesn't burn it. It only heats it up and creates a vapor. Just to be clear: I'm not saying anybody should do this. What I am saying is that it's just wrong to say that smoking weed will do the same kind and amount of damage to your body as smoking cigarettes.

I started smoking at 17 and now at 34 I still look amazing!! I’ve also worked in the dental field since I was 18 and my teeth are perfect and hardly any staining. I have ZERO wrinkles and people say I look like I’m 21. My routine: I brush my teeth daily and whiten once a year. My skin care routine has been the same since late teens: African black soap to cleanse fallowed by coconut oil morning and night.

What I really want to see commentary on, and what videos like this seem to be lacking (no shade, I get that the research might not be there and I appreciate what you have done)- is the longterm effects of smoking pot. Many people who talk about how smoking ages you avoid mentioning marijuana, and only comment on cigarettes. With legalization sweeping through states in the US, I know this is a relevant topic. Many stoners will say "But weed is different!". But I want to know _just how different_ . There isn't much research into this because of how long it took to legalize, and the fact that it has not been federally descheduled, but still. As someone who partakes, I definitely can't believe it's completely neutral and would love to see more people who work in the beauty industry speak openly on this topic. I know it's bad for me, and absolutely don't believe that it's completely neutral. But, is there a difference? And I know, for all the pot heads reading this- Yes! It has only one ingredient. It's not saturated in additional carcinogens. But, the main thing that ages the skin itself is the act of smoking, not what you're smoking. So it has to still be pretty bad, right?

Would growing up in a smoking household or living with a smoker cause some of those damages long term? If so, what can we do to mitigate that?
@_Flyingwhales

Yes, its called second hand smoking, as you are breathing the same toxic smoke. You can also get lung cancer being a nonsmoker! no smoking inside the house is the only solution. Take care of yourself

Huh, I knew that smoking is very bad for skin but those twin faces really showed it! 😳 You just spent large summs of money to destroy your beauty while smoking 😒 Total opposite of plastic surgery which should make you the best version from yourself.

Cigarettes affect women worse than men. A lot of men who smoke don't look any worse than other men their age, either. Testosterone, maybe? Then there's the quality of cigarettes. Whatever Connery and Eastwood were smoking in their youth probably wasn't genetically modified tobacco dusted in chemicals and rolled in synth paper.

I’m sure you weren’t deliberately bashing Lindsay Lohan, but the giggling back and forth was rude and unprofessional. If the video is about the effects of smoking, maybe focus on that rather than the silliness.

Oh nonsense. I've smoked 30 years. None of these issue. At 45 everyone thinks my 8 yr old grandson in my son. I had 4 breast implants surgeries, my last one 9 months ago. I smoked before I walked into the OR. I smoked sitting in the wheel chair waiting for the car. Retinol is your friend. Stress,poverty,lack of sleep, crappy diet, start early aging.

Genevieve, No one escapes the effects of smoking. Good genetics, nutrition and skin treatments will not protect your lungs. Quit before more damage is done.

There will be a day when your lungs are so damaged you won't even be able to breath. You will be coughing and gaging for air but their you will be in denial that smoking has no effects on you. Maybe you don't want to stop and maybe you never will. Both of my parents smoked and they both died of cancer. As I said earlier both my parents smoked the smell in the house I hated, or going on long trips in the car as they smoked with the windows up. These these three videos are of the same woman and it shows the progression and toll that it took on her body. I'm not here to shame you just the opposite, I WANT YOU TO LIVE. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dQIbIpjWEmc.htmlsi=nJ8Q5vb3gzgjzwYe ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5zWB4dLYChM.htmlsi=cur_XLtVEd9yFRrT ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X4k12miYJ4M.htmlsi=xCo5tu93-YLjUYm3

I'm 51 and still don't have any major wrinkles. I smoked on and off for thirty years and I don't have any mouth wrinkles from it. I have a skincare routine and moisturize my face twice a day. For whatever reason I won the genetic lottery.
