So nothing on the RnD was mentioned other than that they create soles in India that even Bangladesh and other neighbouring countries do. All just influencer marketing and paid promotions to create a hype on a premium priced product.
True, yes as I known they are making sole in india but the upper is imported and it's definitely not in Indian that's why the comet also not mentioned anywhere about the made in india.even I have a doubt about they are making there sole or not.
Dude you probably understand lot less about Business. It's not about making something in India only. One can get decent shoe manu. from Kanpur itself. That is not the point. When you starting out you got to make brand identity and collect the resources from wherever you can to make that happen. Once you have brand you can focus on localizing different part of your product because now you got a brand you got cashflow and now it's safe to invest in manufacturing.

@@yashkhd1100dude no one is talking about business strategy here. No one is talking about the future of their business or future products they will provide. You are free to chase that horizon. Read again probably you will understand that I was mentioning the marketing based on RnD only states sole made in India while no mention of the USP or comparative comfort of the sole compared to all giants like Nike Adidas that make it next door in Bangladesh with much higher tech and comfort through their RnD.
Love the piece, I feel Comet needs to release some statement shoes / silhouettes that are unique like a Yeezy 350 silhouette or an AirJordan 1 silhouette to really own the game. Cant wait to see what more comes out of the lab though!

@@Shubham_Bahirat how are they better than nike and adidas , just coz the company is indian ? In no way they are near nike or adidas especially in the flagship segment Plus they look ripoff Rather buy bata or Sparx or some shiet
Only Genz will pay for a shoe brand that is new and charges a premium. As a millennial, I ask myself why should I pay for a new brand and I find myself buying a Nike which is 50 yr old. Thats the difference
I am gen z and won't pay any premium for such a brand. I'd rather spend my money on Nike, Adidas and if I want to spend more money then I will go for New Balance, and that's it.
One simple reason is GenZ and people generally are looking for different brands to stand out from the crowd. Nike is not an aspirational brand like before. Today, people tend to wear products made by a friend rather than a multi-national company because it doesn't excite them - I think you get the point. People love authentic, relatable stories which newer, smaller brands and their founders convey.
Well most of the people who buy Sneaker are in for the look ! These guys have cracked the design game and the current silhouette gives so much scope for creating great colorways. Nike, Adidas havent really released something unique in recent times, jordans are pretty common now and the best one are extremely expensive ... these i feel might just stand out more, very affordable and if they can create the buzz and have a good reselling market... we get our very own Nike
If its price doesn't match the build of other brands, which are upcoming and giving other brands its run for its money then it is not worth the craze. Hoka, asics are doing insane job.
Still expensive at 4299/- for the value they provide. The hype isn’t as huge and the shoe design is also pretty average most of the times. Part of the reason why Jordans fly is because they come with an entirely new design style with every drop.
@@rogerkirti a ripoff of the Bapesta sneakers which was a ripoff of the AF1’s. I’ve mentioned it many times in their insta page but they keep deleting/hiding it
Appriciate mfs , support indian brand . Air force ki okat tou nahi hai kharidne ki kam se kam ye log 4000 mai tou de rhe hai. It's a great price strategy . Na hi cheap mai ata hai na hi expensive hai . You guys don't know about marketing strategies bro if yo u can't afford it than stop criticising all the time about the price . It is providing great quality at this price . You can't even imagine how good they are as compared to other brands like nike Addidas .
Would have loved to see some comparisons with equally compititive brands and some potential roadblocks. The startup that's doing everything right sounds too good to be true.
So Mr. sneaker collector don't you think that this "comet" company is ripping of Nike's orginal Air Force 1 and Jordan Design and just adding a weird star like shape instead of nike's wosh ? as also overcharging heavily for their rip off sneakers ?
checked out the brand, yup Comet seems to have copied even the design essence of Bape's logo. I feel their current silhouettes arent a issue but they definitely need to come up with unique designs of their own.
I have been using these comet black sneakers Jugnu which you showed in the video and the shoes glowing at night is kind of gimmicky tbh. Anyways I bought it because I needed a pair of black sneakers cuz I am already using a white Nike AF1 and I feel like a black sneaker and a white sneaker can never go wrong with any outfit. Surprisingly after wearing for few months I felt like COMET was definitely more comfortable than the AF1's . But the problem with the COMET sneakers is they crease quicker .
They still aren't well known as a shoe company. If you wore this and went out people will think if you wearing a nike rip off. One of the main reasons people refrain from buying this shoe.
I have been following this brand and the whole approach they have taken for marketing is amazing! And the product is definitely worth the hype, It feels like you’re wearing a 15k shoe when it’s on your feet.
Great branding, packaging, colorway and collabs. Wish I could say the same thing about the quality of the shoes. Creases in 3 days. So I'm comparing these with the 20+ AF1s I've worn over 17 years, these don't even come close to the quality they offer. Got myself 3 pairs of Comet but probably won't pick another for a bit.
Ordered the shoes. The comfort, design, the colour scheme, the packaging, the steadiness, quality, and the presence after wearing an outfit. It just goes super good. Over all love this brand and giving the best for the buck.
Don't know why people are bashing a homegrown brand. From my personal experience, Comet not only produces their own soles, but also it is super comfortable. I have flat foot, still I can walk all day in those shoes without any discomfort which I faced in almost every other sneakers rest alone the Indian ones! Other Indian sneaker brands are cheaper in price & quality both, atleast comet doesn't compromise on that. Although they are highly inspired by Nike & Bape, but their colour combination are far better than them. Only downside of this brand is that they don't have a very unique silhouette & the upper leather is not like Nike Jordans, so it creases very soon. I hope they will improve in these aspects as the company grows.
Love their designs but even puma slipstreams or nike ebernons come under 4000 at the time of sales. So why would customer choose Comet over a reputed brand like Nike, Puma or Adidas. I think their Pricing should have been in between 2500 & 3500. For 4200 they are really expensive and definitely not the hype for me.
The thing is i love how we are progressing in this , but comet just looks like an extended version of what bape was in 2000s if we are terming it desi or indian we need to change it in that manner and make the silhouette universal something which gully labs has a taste of.
They're very good with their designs btw. I took one look at a friend's shoe at my doorstep and was like wow I need this, didn't notice the logo earlier but then I started getting Comet ads on Instagram and found it there 😂 And now I'm intrigued and here. Good product speaks itself. Great trajectory in such a short time!
One fact that was not checked by you is that they have physical stores, literally opened one recently in Ahmedabad next to JayWalking... Saying that it's a pure D2C brand is kinda wrong...
Proud owner of a comet shoe and let me tell it really loves up to the hype Shape of the shoes is far more suited to my foot structure (wide) which generally most Indians have
I was one of the first set of customers last year, really curious and bullish for an Indian sneaker company. The shoes, while they look great, are of low quality. They crease so easily that it is not even funny. Investing in a shoe tree for a 4000 rupee shoe is where I am at, but they do look cool. So, the strategy has worked, but the quality is nowhere close to the premium shoes.
They still don't understand it, this is not going to work as the shoes are just the same style with a logo people don't even identify.....nike are sold more nowadays for that logo...rather than their use...or comfort. Can't understand why people don't get this simple thing.
I had Nike's and Adidas but I didn't buy comet for logo, I bought it for its unique style and comfort at such a competitive price tag, I'm more proud about having comet than those big namesake brands
That is cult following they going to get if they continue the same way, Nike's or other brands will never compete at that price and another thing that's missing in the video is all their sku's are of same price makes it even better for a customer to make a decision
BAPE are like 5x+ more priced. People need to calm down and appreciate a desi brand which is trying to give an alternative which looks and feels different. Go spend your time and money on foreign stuff or wait for last season 40% off 😂
@@thebusinessclub882 I have watched the founders interview with elevation capital and by analysing the company we can easily understand that the scale they are operating hardly covers their r&d salaries and operating expenses
Well, the design looks like a blatant copy of Nike iconic sneaker AF1, and it feels like there's a lack of originality here. While the build quality might be decent, it's hard to appreciate it when the shoes don't bring anything new to the table. This video looks like a collaboration where a positive image of the sneaker brand is being promoted. I am in full support of Indian brands but not the ones which are a rip off. You should consider Thaely shoes instead. They are creating a positive impact to the environment and not a copy of any sneaker silhouette. The resemblance to the original is just too strong, and it makes me question the creativity and effort put into this product just by adding differ color patterns.
Brother tell me how do they manufacture shows , how do they contect manufacturers and I have many question to ask where should I start from I don't know . please make seperate video on it by using example of any company
It's a copy paste brand. The initial curiosity will fizzle out soon unless they innovate on designs and collabs. Afterall 4k isn't cheap, and neither are these focused on foot comfort (sports shoes are better for that)
Bro, the brand feels like pure marketing. Dont get me wrong, Im a staunch supporter of indian brands, but this company isnt doing much, their designs are pretty mid, their shoe quality isnt noteworthy either, the price is good, but, whats the point if youre gonna deliver something that people only would buy for the price and not the shoe itself
