If I see Harper swing at that way low and outside pitch one more time, I'm going to scream. But I'm not worried about him. I AM, however, worried about Castellanos. I don't think it's a "streaky" thing for him anymore. I think he just might be not a good player anymore. His bat has been pretty terrible and he's slow as hell in the outfield. Oh and he's also been thrown out at 2nd, trying to stretch a single to a double, at least twice, if not more, because he's slow and making terrible decisions. P.s. I left this comment before I heard you speak on N.C.

Yes, he might be sent down for someone we all love. Hopefully having this other player come up and get his rebound in the big leagues it might get a decent trade offer.

@@seanguzy9601who might be sent down? Castellanos? I'm not sure you understand... He can't be sent down. He has no minor league options and there's zero chance they would do that anyway.

He definately is slow. But I wouldn't go as far as saying he sucks. His bat will wake up.

@@adamo80nine I never said he sucks. Here's the thing. I'm a Castellanos fan. After the World Series loss I predicted, (and really hoped of course), that he would have a break out year in 2023. He did, for the most part, until he and everyone else fell asleep in the AZ series. But how long are we going to keep saying, "His bat will eventually wake up", before it bites us again and we end up with no rings. The thing about this team is, they can destroy any team or they can go silent. That's why they went after Turner, because he's a more consistent hitter and that's what this team desperately needed. We've been getting a lot more consistency out of our younger players, Bohn, Stott, etc. But a 20 mil\year player who is supposed to be a power guy that doesn't get an XBH through the first 30 something games is NOT a guy we can rely on. He's Pat Burrell. And maybe not even. I don't want him to go anywhere because I like him as a player, a teammate and a person. I love seeing Liam in the crowd and that whole story. It's great stuff. But when the bases are loaded, in the 6th inning of a 1-1 game, with 2 outs, in the playoffs and Nick is coming to the plate, I just have zero confidence that he'll get the job done. That worries me. That being said, I have no suggestions as to how they can remedy the situation. I just hope that he is who I thought and hoped he is and he can get through it at the right time.

The thing about Castellanos is, I don't think it's that much of an approach thing for him right now. I think he's been seeing the ball a lot better than he has in the past and was in the beginning of the season. He's not swinging at that low and outside slider that he ALWAYS seems to swing at as much as he has in the past. I think there's something bigger going on and it might be something that he can't come back from. I don't think it's injury or anything like that. He might just not be what he was and what we NEED.

This team can win the World Series. But they can also lose their first playoff series. They can go for a long stretch and look unbeatable, and, just like the Astros World Series, suddenly go cold.

I think all the good teams tend to have that. Even when the Braves got over 100 wins, they did lose 4 series.

The scariest thing is going cold so suddenly. Happened twice the past two seasons, and both Thomson and Kyle Long need to be aware of that. I’d like to know that they have a contingency plan in place. Though last season, if Kimbrel didn’t give up that homerun in game 4 of the LCS, we could be having a very different conversation right now. The longer starts from the starting staff might already be protecting them from that outcome, as the BP ain’t getting taxed as much. Maybe they’ll still have plenty of gas come playoff time

Giants fan here, tell you what. You can have your 2nd round pick from the 2017 draft back if we can get our 1st round pick from the 2009 draft back 🙂. Baseball is a long season, everyone goes through slumps. Nobody wins 140 games. I wouldn’t worry about your little mini losing streak. And life on the road is tough.

It's time to take Walker out of the rotation and put Turnbull in, her rid of Pache and bring up Dahl, trade Walker ANF Minor leaguers to Oakland for Miller and another right handed bat.
