Travellers be warned, Việt Nam is a proud country with warmest people, once you visit it is hard to forget. The VN legendary cusine stands on its own identity with thousand years tried and true characteristics, method traditions. Those came from industrial fast-food word (mainly the West) they can't comprehend such humble places could and persistently produce the dishes, taste, that rival any 5-star dinning. That the true magic of VN. Visitors without prejudice and open mind, you'll experience something akin to awakening which beg the simple question: what have you been fed thru life until now?
Well-written! You summed it up for all of us. Your writing consists of true intensions and deep evaluations of the Vietnamese people and what they represent. We are warm, hard working and very welcoming. You are quite poetic and your chosen words are heartfelt and descriptive.
You guys are the sweetest and most down to earth couple. It’s a rarity to see such genuine, profound love and admiration from outsiders like yourselves. We thank you for your understanding and outpouring love that you have for the Vietnamese people and food. Please continue your support and we’ll be sure to tune in each time.
Your love for Vietnam is absolutely heartwarming, thank you for embracing my motherland with open arms, I'm all in for you guys starting a new channel dedicating just only to Vietnam food and culture.. ps our mate Gary Butlers favorite dish is Bun Thit Nuong as well
Ahaha if we spent long periods in Vietnam that would be a great idea! For now we love to travel. Vietnam holds a special place in our hearts and will always return 🇻🇳🙏
Since you love Vietnam so much , why don't you stay here (maybe for one year) and apply for a teaching job ? There is currently a big demand for English teacher in VN you know . Bi is dry pork-rind (not chicken skin) mixed with fried rice powder . We use it in Banh Mi , Com Tâm , Bun Bi , Bi Cuon (rolls) , Banh Tâm Bi , Banh Beo Bi , etc...
Great video. Always good vibes. Tasty food. Auntie Banh mi looked so good. Bun Thit Nuong. That is my kind of dish. That looked delicious. Grumpy little B.😆Small dog syndrome. The lovely man at the coffee shop. I can see why you love him. His son was so cute. Getting shy. Your wife. 😁🤣My sister. I wish him all the best in his business. So kind they lent you the brolly. I hope you showing his business gets him lots of sales. Happy Tuesday, guys.
All great eats today from the banh mi to the bun thit nuong (so underrated!). The salted coffee is really popular now. You'll have to try the peanut, yogurt, and pandan coffees and tell us what you think (I assume you already tried the egg coffee since everyone tries that in Vietnam). The coffee guy is a great human being. I hope his business takes off because of this video as he deserves it.
Lol...your Vietnamese auntie's attire description is spot on ! you guys are adapting quickly, you don't even get phased by all the honking and your pronunciation is really good too.
How cute was uncle Duy! 😂 He tried so hard to communicate with you. And free tea for everyone, especially the poor he says. What a legend 😊 The food looked scrumptious! ❤ You can put the fish sauce dressing over the vermicelli rice noodles. What a delish dish. I am lucky to grow up eating Mum's Vietnamese cooking and have the best of both worlds. Incredible video! Grilled pork is amazing isn't it?! ❤ Love the fact that you are supporting the smaller family businesses Xx
i love how you guys speak Vietnamese and trying to communicate ❤ that bánh mì spot is legendary, no one sell that cheap with so much meat and full with everything else
That meat you refer to as cinnamon sausage at 13:49 looks more like Cha Trung Hap. It's a steamed egg meatloaf filled with pork, noodles, and wood ear mushrooms (those black spots you see). I usually see Cha Trung as an option to add to a Com Tam plate. You're one of my favorite RU-vid channels because you show your interactions with the locals. It's nice to see the people behind these meals get some screentime.
I have subscribed to your channel and will recommend it to my younger siblings to subscribe. Thank you very much for making very interesting videos about my country, Vietnam. ❤❤❤
Seven f....g teen K ??!?!??! That's like 75 cents !! I can't even get a bag of stale fries here in the US for 75 cents and you guys are getting freshly grilled pork, not from frozen meat either, warm baguette and fresh herbs, not to mention friendly service ???? The owner of the bun thit nuong place and the husband and wife owners of the cafe shop are all so nice and friendly, in a true sense too. I guess they can tell you guys are nice people as well and really opened up.
Ahaha ridiculous for the quality isn't it. That's why we love Vietnam and certain other countries and I'm really glad you understand this. The people are kind in a true sense, lots of places it's all surface and fake. Great country 🇻🇳

@@EllisWR You need to raise up the back of the tongue to touch the soft palate. You can google "velar nasal", there are lots of pictures describing the tongue position.
Even they serve big portion in Vietnam. The obesity rate in V is extremely low. Their food is tasty/ affordable/ healthy that non of the fast food chain can manage to enter the country. You know u are eating proper food there compare to those developed countries with all those " healthy food gimick bullshit" ...
Despite his humble business that coffee seller tried to give the best service . Watching your video I really miss vietnamese sandwich . Your girlfriend / wife enjoys local food as much as you do .
Be careful with chili in Vietnam. It will be very spicy or super spicy for foreigners from Europe or America. It will give you a stomach ache. Of course, if you are used to its spicy taste, it will be okay. I know this, because I am Vietnamese. Good luck.
Love you two. I seen your comment on Chris and Max channel. Great you supporting each other channels. Hope someday the two of you will retire in Vietnam. Enjoy your time there. Your Vietnamese speaking and understanding is getting better.
Have you ever been sick, You two eat street food everyday. Just be interested in the truth, i was sick after eating in a guest house in vietnam, thanks x
Being completely honest we eat street food/local food 100% of the time and I was sick for a couple of days only once in 2 years - that was in Mexico :) I guess you get used to the food and water!
Will do! I enjoy watching you guys. Also, if you guys love Banh Mi, you guys have to try Bo Ne. Its a sizzling breakfast plate thats full of goodness lol. It has fried egg, pate, fish, Sui Mai, Laughing Cow Cheese and more! They give you bread to eat it with. If you look it up on google, you’ll know what im talking about haha!
You are supposed to eat the meat & egg roll/proteins with the mixed herbal vegetables with the rice noodles that provide you with the delicious, savory infusion of flavor and textures..
