I wish this discussion went on for another hr. That was a great topic and insight.

Good topic! Always thought that there's something about Cricket as a sport that brings out the worst in people and makes it conducive to bullying. Maybe because its a team game but with alot of individual responsibility; a mix of high technical demand and the spotlighted nature of the play really can expose and add pressure to the individual in the team. With such a mix, the stronger characters that happen to have influence and/or skill have more opportunity to pick on and sabotage the weaker ones. Add all the time being together, the inevitable banter culture, and its a recipe for misery if there are no adults in the room. Just a theory.

It also brings out the best in people. What other sport do you get when people play well and the other teams goes up and congratulates them. For example, when a batrsman scores a century and the opoositin applaud, sometimes even shake their had, especially when out. Also, I find it hard to believe the dressing room banter is any worse than footy, rugby etc. The one big difference I suppose is cricketers can stay for days on end all in a small space.

Considering how he used to get homesick and suffer from huge nerves I'd hardly describe him as a powerful character. Hoggy struck me as a buffoon.

I do not think a talk show is Harmison’s forte. He waffles a lot and lot of the time sounds unprepared. Great guy and great cricketer but listening watching him analyse something is like watching paint dry

Leaders are born. Talkers are never leaders. leaders say very few words. we humans are told to recognize lies not truth. We like biggest and sophisticated liars. Some even become prophet. Leaders are very reluctant leaders. Now Trump is a leader? no. MAGA is a cult many say? Not really. MAGA is a concept that others abide by. No one will die for trump. he is not a cult leader. Except cummins , we really dont have leaders in world cricket. Stokes is terrible. Rohit sharma is terrible. People say Rohit won world cup. buying is not winning. Some say messi deserved? he also bought his world cup There are minor leader and major leader. Minor leader is like electro magnet. temporarily they can make player play for single goal for short time. Major leader is one where everything set in tone. Player understand leader , leader understand players. Good leader team everyone know their roles. Roles are minimized. You are not asked to be HERO in well lead team. You just have to do your part , if you fail someone will take credit You cant train Leadership skills. That is why Bavuma failed. he thought he can learn from others. Team wins no one will question the captain. Leaders are not obsessed with learning new skill. They look awkward. They are not very good with gravity. There is a specific reason for it. There is poistiive people negative people. SINK and SOURCE Skilled players are sink. They need energy Leaders are source. They give encouragement and motivation. They are willing to lose. Willing to face defeat. When mind has clear goals. clear process. everything faill in place. Process only work for leaders mostly. For others its hard work. Skilled players need intensity to level up their skill. Leaders are in neutral position. They dont seek skill. They seek nothing but process. I always laugh skilled players talk about process. its funny. Some fools taught them process. They repeat that nonsense in media. Team with good leaders wont crack under pressure. They have option a , b and c.

so you've given some examples of poor leaders - how about some good examples?
@nastybadger-tn4kl

@@charliegeorge9393 Good leaders do not want to be leader For a good leader , its responsibility not learning new skill. Good leaders are snake dragon rooster Dragon - imran khan , kohli , putin , viv richards Snake - mahatma gandhi , jfk , indira gandi , Jinping,steve waugh , jayawardene , sangakarra Rooster: dhoni cummins federer They all have their own style Dragon - take the job serious , do it by showing and earn the respect Snake - ruthless conviction in their method. It works well Rooster - luck. Only sign has connection to luck. What ever the decision they make turn into gold except in their bad year This year is bad year for rooster. How can you sure about these chinese astrological signs? How do you authenticate it? I knew about this from 1995. That time its of party time time passing. But i go interested when i saw dhoni field placing and ball went to fielder. I do not believe magic in universe. So i started digging. I need more proof. I started analysing all rooster sign same with Roger federer returns. He is not that strong or athletic. But he knows which direction ball is coming and he pounce on it That is the point how do he knows. Its a secret.
