The first thing Darth Vader ever did was to purge the Jedi temple of children, teachers, librarians, and whatever skilled Jedi were there. Basically single handed. Yes there were soldiers, but no other Sith. That's a huge street cred to start your reputation. Fear would be common in most Jedi if they heard he was coming for them.

Darth Vader reading the minds of his opponents and causing them to break their connection with the Force has always seemed to disturb me.

Not so much breaking their connection as it is disrupting their connection. To be sensitive to the force is to be able to feel the currents and connections of life around you. Dun Möch at its highest potential deafens them to such connections, mentally crippling an opponent.

In a duel, from history and such I've studied, or any fight really, it's whatever is needed to win, no holds barred kinda stuff. For Vader to use such is not only logical but also completely dark side, what sith wouldn't use whatever they could to win against the jedi, for them it would Increase the pleasure of it all.

There were certain things that were frowned upon in a duel. Jarnac vs Chataignerais, for example. de Jarnac hamstrung de Chataignerais, which was criticised as a 'dirty' move, but Jarnac was recognised, crucially, as the victor of that duel, and no significant judicial action was taken. So if anything, Medieval people were at least somewhat self-aware and not exactly hypocritical.

I think the fact that Vader was one of the most if not the most naturally powerful force users ever, and him learning from one of the most powerful Sith Lord's ever is enough of an explanation for him being able to defeat so many Jedi.

But he still wasnt have enough to defeat some Jedi. I can’t remember his name, but a Jedi battle master, who had way less power than Vader, completely wrecked him and Vader only defeated him by entirely destroying a whole city. This means that skill beats raw power. Vader was obviously highly skilled, but it sometimes wasn’t enough. And he couldn’t use his full power because he was handicapped

@@Vyrall-nk2xd Vader was severely compromised by his suit. He couldn't even raise his arms above his head. He couldn't see very well either (Palpitine did this on purpose). He had a ton of force power, and skill but as you said, he was handicapped.

As a contender for the most gifted duelist in the order Anakin would already have had an extensive familiarity with the the vulnerabilities of the individuals he' be hunting down, by direct engagement, observation, or reputation, while in his opponents mind, he himself being an absolute mystery

That's a logical conclusion, I'm a little surprised that it wasn't in the video, it does explain it quite well. Anakin was very clever, probably thanks to Kenobi's teaching, and this example offers a better explanation than he's just the g.o.a.t.

I would like to point out that in the lightsaber duels with vader and his vader never used his full potential because he was not trying to kill Luke! I don't believe like would have ever beat vader if vader was trying to actually kill him

Yes agreed. But even without using his full powers he easily defeated Luke lol. It wasn't Luke's job to bring order to the Galaxy, it was Vaders. Luke's only job was to awaken the light in Vader

In some ways the Empire was right. They provided social services galaxy wide, and united the Galaxy into a more formal galactic empire. During the Republic Era it was more of a loose Federation of planets that could vote in a senate, that often got nothing done. Naboo is a perfect example of this, the Republic couldn't do anything to protect one of its members. The local governments often worked independently and had small protection forces, no real armies. And we see in the sequel that the new republics aren't doing well. Maybe what we need in Star Wars is a Republic that enacts alot if the policies that the Empire had, without the brutal suppression of the people, and dictatorship.

Strength of his weighted strikes, his dueling skills, his feelings toward Jedi and his view of them, and his suit giving him a emotional charge, are personal factors for his performance, only very few knew physical beings who is inside the suit. His mysterious image and his presence of his energies over power's the fragile minds of Jedi order 66 survivors(due to little to no parenting), of course there are strong mind Jedi or mildly strong, yet likely they can go in shambles easily in Vader's presence.

Darth Vader was wise to use Duunmak against the Jedi when he fought them since the Jedi always kept their composure during battle. By using Duunmak to disrupt their concentration the Jedi lose their best weapon aside from their lightsabers and the Force.

If you use the science, there's a way to defeat Vader. Lure him to a jungle world like Felucia, and find a way to spray him with pheromones that attract bugs, particularly flesh eating ones. Eventually all the creepy crawlies will start going into his suit and eventually his body. And the possibly his helmet. He won't be able to take off the suit, the bugs will be too great a distraction.

That would never work, he was highly knowledgeable on each world and the dangers it presented. Breaking Vader’s concentration, is virtually impossible as he has immense telepathic abilities. He could use the method in this video and find out your plan.

Galen Marek, Obi Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker all put the beat down on Vader. I’m willing to bet Mace Windu and Quinlan Vos could do so as well. I’m hoping the rumours are true about the Kenobi series and we see a lot of Vader and a lot of lightsaber duels.

I would like to say I believe that Darth Malgus was as good if not better at killing jedi than vader was! Especially since during the time of malgus the jedi where at full strength vs vader taking on jedi trying to hide from the empire which also weakened there ability to use the light side since the dark side had clouded some of their abilities! Also malgus had a mountain crush him and yet he refused to die and it only made him stronger! Darth Malgus my favorite sith lord! I would take malgus to beat vader 8 out of 10 times! Ancient sith where so much more powerful than the bane hide in the shadows sith! Vader even mirrored his fighting style to Darth Malgus after he had to wear the suit

If this is Legends we're talking about, then yes, Malgus might ve able to contend with Vader. However, Plagueis and Palpatine are above even the strongest legends Sith (Vitiate) by explicit statement in the Plagueis novel, and Jedi Master Dooku was said to nearly approach that level of power. The Old Republic Sith really are not above the Prequel era Sith.

So technically Vaders 1st step is intimidation. For those who know who he really is knows he was a skillful & powerful Jedi and now an even more powerful Sith. His 1st act as a Sith was to killed an entire school of kids so right off the bat he is just pure evil. Then if that doesnt make u crap ur pants and throw u off ur game he also taunts u to get into ur head like Ali did to his opponents but he does it on a much higher level and literally gets into ur head. And while stand there crapping ur pants he cool like the the other side of the pillow.
