​​@@himaxchampion Yeah, it's basically Dexter season 1 but movie length. And with some differences, especially the ending, which will be a shock to anyone who has seen the TV series.

The first book was so good. The 2nd book not as good but actually really funny. The 3rd book was boring and disappointing.... But I'm still down with completing the series one day. I hear Dexter is much more sinister in the books. I look at is as a multiverse

6 does have a really solid villain

@@callisto4205 Travis Marshall is a good villain and the Nebraska episode was cool. But there were some weak aspects and poor writing in that season

many people left after season 4, some dude left the show and u can really see it as the tonal shift season 5 starts is like night and day

@@stevenanderson808 i do love miguel, its not his character but more so his story line i dont like. It feels like the show could have done without, though he inarguably has some of the best and funniest scenes in the show.

@@himaxchampion i have always seen him as the dark version of what dexter could become if he twisted the interpretation of the code for selfish reasons, thats why his story always intrigued me

New blood was actually not that bad. I’m glad Clyde Philips is back being involved in the show after leaving after season 4

Genuinely love that you enjoyed the whole show, it's important to note how enthusiastic the fans are and that alot of people did like the later seasons

I like that idea. The fact the "trinity" killer is in season 4 always bugged me too, he has trinity in the name ffs haha put him in season 3!

I agree, I always thought, that the first four season should be in order of 1,3,4,2. Miguel plotline could be Dexter's reaction to losing his brother, Trinity to his cover life usurping his true nature (so similar to season 4 we got) and BHB as obvious end season. And you can argue that elements of real season 5 and 7 could be made into season between Rita's death and garbage bag findings on the ocean floor. You can blend Hannah's and Lumen's and maybe Lila's characters into one etc. In the end, you have tight 5 season arc. Of course nothing gets used from season 6 and 8, these just offer nothing of a value.
