Bro dats the dumbest reason how he gets his eye back ever. Tell me what animal even grows a eye back. Maybe a leg or hand like a lizard but nah i dont get this one
@@shocknawe given his ability to shapeshift into a variety of creatures, including those with the ability to regenerate lost limbs, it's safe to say that he likely has a healing factor / regeneration of some sort, regardless of his current form.
It actually *is* possible to survive that, people have. It’s highly unlikely, but entirely possible. It isn’t possible to survive without long-term brain damage, but the shapeshifting can deal with that.
Doesn't Beast Boy have enough Trauma? He saw his parents fall to their death right in front of him, he was abused and nearly killed by someone who adopted him for his inheritance, he then got adopted by Doom Patrol including his loving foster mother Elastigirl and his gruff foster father Mento, almost all of them died, he got betrayed by Terra in the comics in the worst way, and he keeps on losing Titan members, some of which don't come back.
Something I've noticed whenever I hear about comic book stuff is that Beast Boy seems to be the DC version of Spiderman, where the writers just REALLY like putting him through the ringer
Yeah but the main difference is that Spiderman has a lot of solo issues while Beast Boy is almost never given an opportunity to shine outside of a team. So even most comic book readers don't even know the origins of the character. Shorts in recent years have started to make him justice by bringing the attention he deserves.
@@braydoncook2948 I mean, Spiderman also get wins very so often. His stories are not grimdark. Is just that when a writer gives him a W the next one for some reason decides to take it away.
As a new comic reader, it's really hard to keep up with all the continuity when it flip-flops everywhere. Thanks to people like you, it's easier to read and understand the story
What you're complaining about is precisely why I gave up on DC, especially after Flashpoint. It's hard to care when the creators will just flippantly reset everything and tell the same things over again.
New 52 SwampThing. No malarkey, just ST and his connection to The Green. Occasional interaction with the big names and you see he’s one of the most powerful figures in DC.
@@anchovy313I didn't find it too hard to follow post flashpoint considering everything was labelled new 52 it was when they got into rebirth that confused me
If I recall correctly, it's explained in Dark Crisis that his abilities allowed him to morph his body and change the position of his vital organs so that the headshot wouldn't do much harm to him.
@@bloody4558 I suppose it depends on what continuity you know them from. In some comics/shows they are definitely not made for each other, but in others they're super cute together. Same for Starfire and Nightwing
So that's at least Robin, Beastboy, and maybe Raven now? Halucinating Slade\deathstroke has basically become a rite of passage for the Titans lol who in the main group hasn't got some kind of trauma.
@@feraligatr18 video shows he gets shot in left eye but wears the eye patch on right eye. I haven't read the comic but based on what im seeing is I think it's an intentional nod to him growing his eye back and it being more of a mental thing
@@19billy Probably got trick by a mirror reflection shenanigan Assuming you’re talking about the moment with Slade holding a gun saying “I got you good” with Beastboy missing an eye. That is actually his right eye due to him looking at a mirror.
Cyborg a couple months after losing most of his body: "Booyah!" Beast boy capable of instantly healing after any injury: "I need to wear an eye patch cuz I'm sad"
She has more chemistry with robin in the shows and in the dc animated universe movies easily. Always preferred garfield with Tera/Perdita easily, wayyyy better chemistry in those pairings rather than complete opposites. Robin has similar trauma in the fact that Damian Wayne's parents are inherently evil like trigon, despite how much the Damian Wayne character has been butchered DCAU's version pairs perfectly with Raven.
@@notanerd6838 nah terra was traitor and didn't deserve to be with Garfield. And as for Robin, there's like 3 different robins that joins the teen titan. The only one I can think of that she's been with was Damien and IDK wtf dc was smoking when they did that.
Lmfao like seriously. It just makes all the other female artists like myself look cringe. At least save the self inserts for your fanfiction, not a company project. It just screams huge ego
@@CanisoftheCoy it just looks so out of place with the way the rest of the panel is drawn, and I don't mean like colors clashing either, it's like if u put marvel ruins next to someone next to owl house, yet as if they changed luz to blonde and white for no real reason? It's just weird trends nowadays
Beast Boy really does go through it. I love how strangely grounded he is. We constantly see him actually having trauma from the stuff he goes through. He isn't just shrugging off trauma like it never happened
Beast boy being SO OP is cannon. It’s why his team started to resent him and why the titans relatively easy acceptance was the thing that let him grow as a person vs staying a side kick
That's why i never liked her character design in the cartoon. It just made people misunderstand her character and they just wanted to sexualize her too much. If it were me, i would appreciate her true value in the comics more.
People wanna complain about these sorts of things but then also complain that the books don’t feel connected. Meanwhile I’m here reading almost every main continuity book in DC for the way decade and I see the weaving between books very well. This also started in the Power Girl backups cause she was helping Gar deal with his trauma since he didn’t even wanna change forms
@@mill2712Luv(sic) prt3 by nujabes. And if you like hip-hop lore, the artist has an interesting background. There are multiple documentaries out there of him on yt
He probably has an animal that can instantly grow back parts I'm not super knowledge in the animal kingdom but I bet there is like a slug or jellyfish he turned into that instantly grew it back to be fair tho that gorilla in an eyepatch went so hard
More than a few actually. Dude could turn into a tadpole. Grow back everything. Or be a flatworm. Cut himself in half. And grow back into multiple flatworms with all his organs. Nature be crazy
He can turn into any living been on and off Earth. I'm sure turning into a single cell organism that doesn't have eyes just resets his default human setting as well.
Honestly it makes sense that he was able to grow back his eye because he literally is capable of transforming into all kinds of different species not just animals dinosaurs alien species so it makes sense that he would be capable of doing so especially if you transformed into a species that is capable of restoring or even healing devastating wounds such as what we just witnessed
Raven has had a weird fashion sense ever since she got resurrected shortly before the start of the Crisis Craze era. That was _three_ universe reboots ago, but it has remained consistent.
The real reason he got his eye back: Artists didn't want to have to keep drawing him with a hole in his face. Honestly, its a shame they didn't figure something out like a mask to at least make the character more compelling for a brief period instead of immediately fixing a character.
Batman and the titan's caused slades son's death, so slades plans to take his sons mark that being the titan's with dick grayson as the current robin; Now keep in mind batman had damian as his new robin sense dick was starting the titan's. How slades son died was via gravity.
@@RoamingGolemBatman had nothing to do with him dying. He took a contract from HIVE to kill the titans but he bit off more than he could chew and the titans beat his ass and he died from the resulting injuries. Then Deathstroke took that same contract to so he could take revenge on them and avenge the death of his son. That’s where the whole Deathstroke/Titans fued started from
Hear me out, becoming a starfish is an easy way to neutralize any injury. A starfish can regrow 4/5ths of its body or even duplicate itself as long as it has a decent chunk of the center mass. No matter the injury, if beast boy became a starfish he would eventually heal and/or have a twin.
@@angelbunny2456 I mean. Most of her early appearances she had long black hair. Early 00s is when they started to play around with it. (Primarily changed it as a response to the teen titans show) However, she has pretty consistently had shoulder length hair with highlights in this newer era. For a few years she did just straight up have the cartoon purple hair design. Either straightened or spiked down. Same with her lipstick. It's a very intentional character thing cause normally she has her hood up. So her lipstick is an identifying characteristic. We have no eyes to follow so it basically acts as a replacement. Which this change was because of how popular the teen titans show was. You might not like it but she has had the goth look longer than she ever did her original design now. No idea how you can claim this even newer design is her true appearance. This super short hair style with straight pink color is very new and looks kinda bad. Raven has had changes in character design but she was always very identifiable. She looks like a nondescript character now. Looking through the character designs over the years again. The last two designs they've very intentionally made her more pudgy as well. She was always very slender. If she didn't have the costume. You wouldn't be able to tell it's her.
@@TNTspaz Yes, i don't like Raven's design in the 2003 show, because it has no connection or even ties to her character's history in the comics. I've also never been happy with how DC has allowed that design of Raven into the comics or any adaptations of her, it just makes Raven's character inconsistent and even completely absurd. They simply put Raven's show design into the comics and DC media because it's popular but never explained why she has that design, which is clearly illogical even within the logic of the canon DC universe. They should have just let her design work in that show, but putting it into the comics or other adaptations is just silly and absurd. And it even shows that the writers don't respect Raven's origin. And i can see a lot of people not liking Raven's current design in the comics mainly because of her hair, it may frnot suit her in their opinion, but her current character design in general is actually one of the few desrdigns that are closet to Raven's origin in the comics, and that's what i need, as well as other DC comics fans. The writers of the current Titans comics are some of the few writers that i know that actually respect Raven's origin and bring her origin back again. It's always important for writers and fans to keep the origin of characters consistent across the multiverse. So i just hope Raven's show design doesn't come back because it would only confuse fans more about her character and ruin Raven's characters. I'm a Raven fan and i only want the best for her, it's that simple.
Assuming Animorph rules don't apply (since DNA can't be harmed by injuries like broken limbs, such injuries are healed during every transformation), he probably either turned into a starfish or an axolotl. Their regeneration abilities are absolutely insane, being able to regrow entire organs, limbs, and even parts of their brains.
To be fair this is not that different from her usual design. The main problem comes from the fact that most people know her from the cartoon and the cartoon design is NOTHING like the comic book one outside of the cape. So when people see a tan girl with purple hair that looks less gothic than the cartoon Raven they freak out.
*sigh* yeah, its wild to think how long he's been gone. The minute I saw i had acess to nujabes i went in on his entire catalogue to see which i could use for the channel hahaha
You're wondering why he got his eye back, not why he was alive after losing half his brain? Obviously he's just a mass of cells now and he can shapeshifter it back
"Cheap transformation" Huh? The dude in the video only states that Beastboy gained his eye back due to his powerset. This doesn't rule out the fact he transformed into a creature that could regenerate and the comic is about the trauma of it. Am I missing any context or something? I don't understand this complaint
@@HowlingDoom the commentator states that Beastboy transformed into an animal and then back to a human gaining his eye back. I'm saying it's cheap and It would've been more creative if he simply transformed into an animal with actual regenerative properties instead of human > animal > human again regeneration we got
There’s also the little detail that Slade shoots Beast Boy in his left eye, but his eyepatch is on his right eye. It shows that the affliction is more psychological than physical.
@@opheliarosewood7847 truuuu 😮 these woke leftists are ruining comics. changing characters skin just to fulfill quotas is terrible of these wokists . why can't they just let grey people be grey people???? 😫
I actually like this and it's pretty hilarious besides the fact of how did he even survive it's funny to know the split sec that he transformed he already had it back but didn't know 😂😂😂
Remember how he can go down to microbial level. Any bit of BB can regenerate the whole beast. Tbhhhh shadowclone logic could apply if we played further with it.
I've always wondered that. If B.B. was hurt, would transformation patch him together, or would the wound transfer over to every transformation to and from Beast Form... Always thought it would be interesting that a non-lethal, or nearly lethal wound could be "healed" simply by transforming, making him much more difficult to kill!
You could make a mini pyramid or sphinx for the sand shop. For the gravel shop you could put a big pile of gravel somewhere and build one of those conveyor belt trucks that put the gravel in a pile.
