Simeon Bacchos was baptized by Philip at the river Jordan according to the bible around 33-35 AD which means Christianity would have been followed by some people before it became official religion. Catholic became Roman empire official religion in 3rd to 4th century does that mean there were no Christians there before.

the ethiopian Eunice brought Christianity to Ethiopia after he was baptized by Philip the evangelist in 1st century a.d. so clearly he would have converted a lot people. it became official state religion in 3rd century!

You can deceive the world, but not us. You conviniently made that the Greeks and the Armenians converted the early Ethiopians! Ha ha.. Why can't you accept the Biblical account that the first gentile Christian was actually the Ethiopian Eunice? The early Ethiopians actually mastered the languages of the Bible themselves and translated it into Giez, which itself is closest to Aremaic, which Jesus spoke? Why does it have to be a middle eastern converting us? Armenians didn't even come to Ethiopia until the medieval times.

Thank you 😊 🙏 💓 I don't know why they always twisted the truth, but also, I know why they try to say that they came and converted us😅 but the truth is the Lord Jesus himself is the one who converted us from Judaism to ✝️ by sending Philips. To the Ethiopian eunuch to explain to him what he was reading on the Torah. He was reading Isaiah 53. You see, before even the Bible, we have the Torah, and we worship the God of Israel 🇮🇱 and Ethiopian. we were practicing Judaism. That is why the Ethiopian eunuch was reading the Torah.

No, Armenia was the first Christian nation. I see people get this wrong ALL the time. Just look it up- Armenia was in 301 AD. Ethiopia was in 325 AD. I mostly see this mistake in exclusively Afrocentric sites. This is a new one for me.

⁠@@zelekewmeskel5436Yes, his name is actually spelled “Bachos.” I don’t think that you understood the main point of this site. It is NOT about the first singular person of a nation adopting Christianity, but it’s about a nation/kindom adopting Christianity as a state religion. But yes, the baptism of the castrated eunuch, Ethiopian Jew, and treasurer of the Queen of Ethiopia (Candice) is a wonderful story of conversion to Christianity. He is celebrated today by Christian gay pastors as the first black homosexual Christian in history, according to Catholic Father John J. McNeill.

@@sityanaendale1889I love it when people make a statement without ANY information whatsoever (it makes things more interesting than just stating what you believe) The first person to bring Christianity to Ethiopia was Frumentius aka. Abuna aka. Aba Salama from present day Lebanon in @ 328 AD - 346 AD. He came to Ethiopia to baptize King Ezana.
