It's only fine if you are the one doing the finagling. The same logic takes place in video game collecting as well: people are dirty resellers for wanting proper value for something, but if you get it for super cheap then its perfectly fine and good on you. I agree that it is hypocritical.
So you thought you were legit gonna get a several thousand dollar Kobe card ? It was an easy to spot scam from the start and the person that scammed you is wrong but also if it went the way that it was legit and the seller was an honest person you were more than comfortable paying $200 for it 🤔
To everyone that says the guy posting the video was the real scammer- He paid asking price. If not him somebody else would get it. A deal is a deal. Bargin hunters are smart shoppers, not scammers. Reselling is the oldest profession in the world. Learn how to shop smart or at least dont critize the ones who do. Awesome deals and videos Rad Finds....I see you
Dude, its kinda funny how you complain about you possibly getting scammed but yet, you saw a kobe card thats literally worth a couple grand and was only going to pay 200 for the lot. Glad you got taken.
I mean he did try to get at least a $1,000 card for like $10 pretty much. The seller probably legit didn’t know it was fake. He still got like $500 worth of cards.
Nobody can rip you off unless you let them! By no means am I condoning ripping people off but to think you can get a rare card worth several thousand potentially for pennies is crazy! Ignorance is to blame both ways just one is illegal! I paid comps on a Chris Paul rc auto because I wanted it and the card was hard to find! I looked to see if there was any fakes of the card in Google and had him send several pics and coined pics! I was in formed and still got a facimilie card!
new sub, its good that you can warn people about FB marketplace through your experience and will help many people not go through the experience you did!
Thanks for subscribing! I know and it can really happen to anyone if you are not paying attention and glad I can highlight my experience to help others avoid my gullibility!
So let me get this straight. You paid $200 for a collection of cards which you thought and known one card in that box could be worth over 10k. So who was the scammer in this video, the seller or the buyer?
Several red flags before you even completed the deal, the deal seemed too good to be true + the phrase commonly used by scammers "should be in there". Asking for photos wouldn't do much as he would of probably just found some online and used those to trick you. Sometimes you have to take the risk and drive a couple hours to see for yourself.
I loved this video of when the real scammer (the guy posting the video) getting scammed. I love it... Dude offers him 200$ for a box of cards and a Kobe worth like 2-3k ... get wrecked kid. I woulda been like did this dude just offer me 200$ for a 3k card... Ill send you a box of shit and a copy of the kobe
Gtfo! He paid asking price. If not him somebody else would get it. A deal is a deal. Bargin hunters are smart shoppers, not scammers. Reselling is the oldest profession in the world.
Cmon man get the hell out of here, the guy was a collector, he knew what that kobe card was worth, he only accepted the 200 dollars he was asking for because he knew it was a fake, he was the scammer not the video poster, if he makes an offer the seller doesn't have to accept it, thats the problem in the world today, people with your twisted viewpoint.
I think you got a good channel going, its key that you're consistent with the commentary, which you are, similar to Jabs family channel. Keep putting them out. You'll blow up. Fun video thx
The moment he mentioned grading in the text it would have raised major red flags with me. If he knows about grading he probably knows a bit about cards and thus he more than likely would be selling this Kobe by itself and not part of a lot, especially not part of a lot thats only selling for 10% of that cards value.
I’m thinking that if it was a refractor, he could’ve gone to his local LCS and at the very minimum got way more than 200 and some odd dollars you paid for the whole lot, so why in the world would he include that in this lot it would make no logical sense. Remember if it looks too good it is
Man that was a bummer seeing that fake, until you pulled it i though the guy left it out completely. Sad what some people will pull on others. Also if you’re still doing the giveaway I’d like to be eligible for the JA Morant. Liked the concept for this video btw
@@drakephillips9440 Hey Drake! You were picked as the winner of the giveaway for the Ja Morant PSA 9 Rookie Card! Email me the address you would like me to ship the card to (radfindsvideos@gmail.com). Congratulations!
Hey man! Just following up on you winning the contest! If you could email me your address that you want me to send the card to that would be great! (Radfindsvideos@gmail.com) thanks!
It was a bummer for sure but I appreciate the support! This giveaway ended but I just put up a new video with a giveaway of 5 different cards (I CAN’T BELIEVE I FOUND THESE SPORTS CARDS AT AN ANTIQUE STORE…FOR ONLY $40! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pFcJ0Ju8c5U.html)
When something seems too good to be true, it usually is. A two to four thousand dollar pristine 10 graded Kobe card along with all the rest for $200.00. Smelled a little fishy.
second comment, these loose items will not grade high when being knocked around in a box, but then again I don't know what relationship you have with your cards. Good luck with future purchases
Oh gee. I am sorry about that brother. That's hard when you get scammed like this!! It happened to me recently on Mercari. God bless you though and Jesus loves you
Dang! Missed it by a couple months! Just watched a few of your videos and saw this giveaway. I have a Ja PC. Great vids and lots of info. Keep it up! Cheers!
Maybe he didn't know it was fake! I literally bought cards from people who don't know the difference in basketball and football much less real and fake cards. Probably did know but always a possibility just message him and see what he says.
At what time in the video did I pull the George Kirby? Lol I can’t find it anywhere where it should be and I was gonna use the video to track it down. If I can find it I’ll send it to you for free since this is the first video!
Hey Jimmy! I actually found two of the George Kirby Purple Refractors. Send me an email with the address you would like me to send them to (radfindsvideos@gmail.com). Take care!
The irony of Watson first season in Cleveland was host to the national masseuse convention last fall. Maybe the city of Cleveland, along with the Browns, may have been trying to test his growth or set him up, if the contract has a “prohibited massages from non team personnel massues” ban or a more loose, “no sexual assaulting of any personal masseuse” clause in it.
I'd love the JA Morant!!! Awesome first video though! You win some, You lose some. But atleaat you didn't get totally hosed! There's definitely value there.
I would like the Zion PSA 9. I still love Zion even if he gets hurt alot. Great videos you put out. I have also been scammed a few times. Always someone out they trying to make a buck with fake stuff. Keep up the awesome videos.
I would say Zion right now but if Ja actually gets his stuff together and gets help they both could have good careers. Zion also needs to stay healthy.
Great video.... My son and I love to hit up Yard sales to try and score... I've never trusted marketplace, but have def been taken on a ride when I bought through Mercari. I try to stay away from there also! Would love to be entered in the giveaway!
I see better stuff in here overall than a $349 hobby. Boo hoo you didn't get a never has been college g league purple diamond rookie. And a bunch of base from the spurs/pistons.
This is something that really irks me about the hobby. So you saw that ad on marketplace and started negotiating with the belief that the Kobe was 100% real and you probably talked him down to $200 or whatever u said but had that Kobe been real u said that card could pull in anywhere between like $2k-$5k. So u thought u we’re gonna come up atleast $2k profit but did u talk to that dude about how much that Kobe would have been valued at had it been real? Cause if not then that’s kinda karma that it was a fake. Just sayin
Love to have that JA morant! I think he is gonna turn his life around! He is a BEAST! Sorry about you getting taken on marketplace! I have took a loss 2 times on marketplace, I don’t buy on there anymore after that! Paid for items and got nothing, not even my money back!
You have made a lot of great buys that I have seen in previous videos where you made out like a bandit. Maybe this was karma. Things have a way of equaling themselves out. Nobody "wins" every time.
If you think it is always a gamble then stop and just go to a casino. You only did it because you thought you were getting over someone else. You know that Kobe rookie refractor would be megabucks and you figure this guy is honest and too stupid to look up the value? So you are really trying to rip him off. So you got yourself. So many scams and crooks on facebook!!! I see it in coins and antiques as well. P.S. all con men sound honest!!!
Just take the loss, learn from it and move on. That's just one day out of many many more where no matter how hard you try, mistakes will be made. You can't avoid it. Cool cards and great video. Sorry you had to go through this. EITHER ONE OF THOSE CARDS YOUR GIVING AWAY. THEY ARE BOTH 🔥 🔥.
