This is exactly the kind of card a scammer would go after. It's not crazy in value, but enough to be worth the act of scamming. It's also a redemption, which makes it alittle easier to conceal. Was an excellent catch!!.....its same concept with counterfeiting. The smart ones make 5s,10s, and 20s. Nothing to big to draw attention

If you freeze it at 3:43 in this video you can clearly see the silver scratch off rectangle on the redemption card. That’s just crazy. Shady rips have always been a concern for me, especially if I’m spending sometimes over $1,000. Thanks for the content.

When I first started watching this, I thought some of this could be chalked up to ignorance but as the video continues and you pointed out the box laying on the table. You could clearly start to see that this is a scam and one that they have ran before. Great work! I just hope that this will be the last time they'll be able to run this scam on anyone else.

Even if this was just a fluke and not a scam (which I believe it totally was a scam) there would still be no reason to do business with them. Simply because they should definitely make sure to be extra careful especially with expensive product people paid for. Then rough handling of the cards which too many people do it’s crazy. Shuffling the cards around and not taking care sleeving cards it’s comical.

Talking about having his daughter read him redemption codes, while stealing another redemption for his daughter to read to him. Doesn’t get any worse than that. I’ve spent thousands breaking with these guys, and I honestly thought they were big enough to not risk ruining they’re reputation/business by scamming people. Well I was just proved wrong. The hobby has no place for this and platinum should be stripped of all of their allocations. They get more product than 99% of breakers, some of these distributors need to see this. Unfortunately like most things it’s all about the $ and unless the people still supporting them stop altogether, nothing will happen.

1st off, I’ve never heard of this group & I don’t get involved in breaks, so I have not fight in this battle. With that being said, WOW he handles those cards like a blackjack dealer at Caesars Palace! Legit slams them on the table. And these aren’t your everyday $20-30 blasters. Can’t believe how big a following they have w handling like that! Regarding the scam, I initially gave him the benefit of the doubt that he legit just didn’t see it. But your video work is astounding and you can clearly see he had that 3rd box put to the side and it never made it into that trash bag. I truly hope this is a solo act he does because otherwise you’ve got an entire scamming operation as I believe there are a buncha breakers for this group? Either way, this is no bueno.

The Justin fields card was the replacement card he had ready just in case he got caught, sucks for the customer that paid for a spot, cause there was a bigger card that was pulled.

Thank you for this video - Platinum runs off a small group of people with what seems like unlimited funds. These guys have always been "scammers" - look at their repacks where they make SO much money and give complete trash. This was so obvious, I really wonder if that was the actual redemption in the box or a different massive card. Seems like he switched it out.

First time I got back into card collecting a couple years ago I started watching breakers, Platinum was one of the first I came across..I didnt like how things were being done.. too much nonsense going on and people in and out of the room, I never broke with them , I found a couple others that were way more professional and easier to trust ..in my opinion

I was told by a friend all long time ago who sells autographed items in Cooperstown "all it takes is ONE FAKE to ruin your reputation and your business." Stay away from these Jokers. It's obvious they've done it before.

I wouldn't break with them just for the fact they broke an expensive product like that. Mishandling the cards and just sloppy. Also, he has totally done that before, steal cards I mean. You can tell by his actions and his voice. Glad I have never broke with them before.

The worst part of it is that their profit margins should be really good since they get product from distributors at a pretty good discount and people will overpay for spots. They're pretty much golden if the distribution model stays the same. I don't understand why someone wouldn't provide impeccable service at that point.

Another subtle give away is when he rips the box hes trying to read the card and have a conversation about the guy being fired which is why he stops talking because he cant focus on both things at once. He never stops talking the entire video and is never at a loss for words the entire time UNTIL the card is revealed. "me....just so you know.....me and ummm..........jojo have been talking"

Sadly when he sees the redemption in his left hand (top left corner) u can see him angle it so that he can read it, then quickly puts the lid on and throws the box away. Nice catch whoever that was! I totally missed it.
