this is the reason cause I keep in my heart London. somethin more obnouxious that posh habit is italian selfish daily catwalk. my country Its specific most snobby in europe then holland park became shabby's paradise. londoners are Free lookers. they dress themselves without connection with the seasons.
xander10 what's that supposed to mean? They aren’t allowed to move between their houses because of restrictions, and most posh people have lost MILLIONS of pounds during the lockdown.
Max I saw you walking past Waterloo the other day with your family or some friends I think? I was gonna say hi but you walked past too fast. Gutted tbh
@@xgullafter9590 You'd be surprise how "cheap" farms can be, you could get 3-100 hectare for the price of a 100-200m² house in a city... The thing is doing the work or having to deal with leasing the land to other farmers, but it's actually pretty cheap to get a house if you're willing to get something older and further off the city, by further I just mean 30min-2 hour drive depending on the country my reference is Norway. We were looking onto buying a house so we could rent our current house, and it was $165k in the center of a small town for 1000m² plot and 190m² house, or $44k half an hour away 15 hectare 350m². It's not "cheap" but the farms can actually be paid off in cash, while city houses and apartments require you to basically have that amount of cash before you even get the loan... this way we could take a smaller loan to have a tinny buffer zone for repairs and miscellaneous for 2-3 years. It's not for everybody, but I don't understand why people would pay 100-600k for a house in the city, when you could get that much more land and real estate (because that land can have building permits) for half the price. Also in Norway (probably in other countries too) they have a tax man giving a price on the lot and often you'll see houses go for 100-200k and they'll have a tax value of 50-60k... while the farms are more often then not priced at the same tax value of bellow (if really old). So yeah M E's point is still valid if you're not like "yah I got a house in Dubai, Paris, New York".
@@pneron2032 That really depends on the place you get, some farming area are super friendly and it's be relatively easy to find a farmer that want to expand their production but couldn't afford investing more time/money in more land/a house, while other places have intense inter family feuds, and it would probably be harder to find a tenant that would agree to farm there without facing backlash. In general Farmers are still running a business and if you make a good business proposal to them they would most likely putt any issue a side and do what's right. The last example is just my experience growing up in a farming village of 300 people where there was literally a bridge separating the two main family of the village and they fought about everything and anything, but they were welcoming to strangers, I don't know how they ran their farms since we moved out when I was a teenager.
@@bobbobson6311 Yeah for sure, when that guy was answering the 'What did you wish you had during quarantine' and he said 'Access to my massive garden at my Norfolk home' was definitely a piss take answer
Good grief I never thought I’d have such strong nostalgia for earlier pandemic times. This was about as good as it got, in hindsight - long sunny days, minimal COVID rules and we all thought it would only get better :((( it’s incredible to think that it has literally only got worse since then, for the last six months, and it’s still getting worse. If you’re from the future please tell me it gets better
I had enough to keep me entertained (my friend had recently decided to become a minimalist and I am/was still a hoarder) so I had everything I needed. Apart from soap, because that, I quickly ran out of. And the shops too. Kindof scary, but I found some stuff in the back of my cabinets, so it was fine in the end.
Max, my virtual-imaginary friend, your content has lifted my spirits, pulled me through tough times, and dramatically increased my respect and admiration for people of the posh. Thank you good sir. I also think in a british (posh?) accent after I watch your videos -- like right now. I'm currently reading this in a british accent. Love ya mate, and wish you the best. Seriously though, your content rocks and I hope one day to talk to you so that I can experience that incisive wit of yours firsthand.
Congrats on trending. You're making it. Soon you'll be a proper RU-vid celeb and won't be able to hang out in University cities interviewing drunken heathens. Godspeed Max Fosh. I always believed in you.
It's very easy in Britain to be "segregated" by "social class". It's only at university I would say that more mixing happens, (not in halls though due to price differences, but in the courses) maybe in grammar schools too but I didn't attend one so I can't be sure. In comprehensive school we all come from the same catchment area, hence very segregated by parent's income depending on the school. In private school most of them (not on scholarship) their parents can afford it so it's another world(top 3%). In grammar schools I would say it's on average upper middle class (top 30%).
As someone that is originally from Surrey, I thought I was going to feel pretty shamed and embarrassed watching this video, then I realised that the only thing I could relate to is I made banana bread this one time in March, then I thought maybe this is a joke and they're all actors, then I wasn't sure again, and then I realised I just sound posh and I'm actually unemployed and my only goal of lockdown is to simply survive it (I live in Melbourne, so still in lockdown), and even at the best of times I have never considered buying fresh pasta, clay pigeon shooting or owning a barber jacket. I might refer people to this video when I get people saying 'Wow you sound sooo posh!'
I'm a exiled former Surreyite too (albeit not one of the poshest bits) and I can't even begin to relate to any of them. It was hard enough keeping hold of one home, never mind three.
Oh dear me I was constrained to London. Couldn't quite make the private jet journey to my 3rd mansion in the Southwest of France, but we all have to make sacrifices you know
i love everyones style in this vid ngl like ik 90's fashion has obviously come back but like if the videos quality was a little bit worse (and the title was different as well lol) then i mightve actually thought this was from the 90's/00's
@@thecolorjune yeah idk man, did she sew in a pocket or a butt plug or the dismembered private parts of here previous lovers? I guess we'll never know.
masks in the uk arent needed in public unless you are on trains and busses, rubbish change in my opinion but its life, schools will be re opening and well have done for a while now. No masks needed in shops or anything, as long as he stays a meter it was fine, the microphone was probbably a bad idea having it so close, defeats the whole point but he just wanted to keep to norms now, they say try keep 2 meters but in work and public 1 meter is fine if you cant do 2 merters. But yes unlike most other conties and especially the us where masks are needed mostly anywhere they arent needed here. Personally I do have one but for shoping stips and things i dont see the need
in most places they're only needed if your going into businesses, so they're just chillin when they're outside (plus what the person above me said lol)
@@chriswyatt9869 I understand you cannot eat or drink with a mask on, but I hold (any many others) the belief you should wear your mask when you aren't doing an activity that inhibits you in any way. Giving an interview or walking down the street somewhat close to people does not require the full exposure of your mouth and nose. These people being interviewed (Max included) aren't wearing masks. That's all I was commenting on.
@@wolfhd7509 oh my god, what garbage policy is that. Maintain social distance AND wear a face mask. This isn't about practically, this is about protecting one another. Gosh, some people are thick.
"buy pharma stocks it does you golden" See I put a little too much in astra zenca and that happened to be at it's peak. I have not been in profit since. Thanks random posh dude.
