Ummm.. depending on whether you have variable valve timing, or not... new headers might require tuning changes for the cam phasers, MAF, etc. . In doing so, you might get the added power you quest, as well as better driveability. oh, the other advantage of tubed headers over cast iron ones, is the massive reduction in weight. on the headers, buy either stainless units, or get them ceramic coated, otherwise they're rust out in a few years. Hmm.. my '88 had long tube headers from the factory, and the 4 cats were in the H-pipe. SCT makes some pretty sophisticated tuners.
