This was so helpful, thank you. I hadn’t really thought I’d sit through the whole video, but I did, and am glad I did. I have been accepted by a CCRC in my city but I’m still undecided about moving ahead with the next steps. You are right that the psychological adjustment to living in such a community is an even greater consideration than is the financial considerations. I want more community than I have living alone in my own home, but I’m uncertain how I will jive with the community in this CCRC. I’m considering moving instead to a 55+ complex which, if I don’t like it, will be easier to leave than a CCRC would be.
