Extremely interesting video. I’ve just lost a few orchids due to bacterial infection. The stems were rooted through, the smell was disgusting and in the end I had to throw them in the bin. So sad, I hate losing my orchids like that and don’t know why suddenly in the last couple of days I’ve lost 3 precious plants. I’ll keep watching more videos to help me understand how to treat sick plants. Thanks.

Emman, I do not enjoy playing nurse to my orchids. Yes I will try to save a sick plant but I have learnt caution when dealing with phals. This rot will return. The plant will appear to recover but for some reason, this rot will return after a while. I'm more interested in learning how to improve plant immunity. Or how to avoid these health issues

Hi Emman.:) Thank you SO very, very much for your truly amazing and helpful videos.:) I am a beginner orchid enthusiast and I just started trying to take care of a few Phalaenopsis orchids, and I have two small questions for you, please.:) Is there a difference between Cal Mag Plus and CaliMagic? And would you recommend the Cal Mag Plus over CaliMagic? And how do you use Garden Safe Take Root to help a Phal Orchid that has lost all it’s roots, but has beautiful, strong, shiny dark green leaves and a healthy stem, grow new roots? I always blow All the water out of the crown and in between the leaves when I water it helps a lot !! :)

I think once you save the pink orchid and wash out the rotted part, isn’t helpful to take the flowers off so the plant can focus energy in repairing it quicker?

Hello Emaan how are you? I need help...I have a keiki growing on my orchid it 2 nice size leaves and 1 small leaf...it also has 2 1/2 aerial roots but no feeder roots.. when should I cut it from the mother stem? Hope you can help me...please...

I can't be bothered. The phalaenopsis orchids r certainly beautify and popular but I can't deal with the issues. Too high maintenance 🙄 Thanks for sharing however. I tried so hard to maintain healthy plants but I purchased an orchid and discovered stem rot on closer examination at home (I was repotting). After repotting, the plant appeared to thrive for the 1st 2 months. Then it relapsed and the issues came back. I guess something is needed to enhance the plants natural immunity system
