Right after turning to Christ, I began having blasphemous thoughts that would come at random and began to doubt my salvation. I prayed about it and told God that I didn't think I really felt that way and hoped He would forgive me. He then revealed to me that these are attacks that come from satan because he doesn't want us to come close to God. This is when I first learned about spiritual attacks. Just know that they are normal and come in many forms, like doubt, negative thoughts, etc. The Christian life is a battle, and your biggest weapons are prayer and faith. Ask God for strength in fighting the devil and his tricks. Also very important, read Ephesians 6. Hang in there! God is faithful in His promises and He will help you if you have faith in Him. It's a form of spiritual warfare. I've had to deal with it. After receiving salvation and accepting Jesus as a teenager. It was annoying to the point of putting me in tears. And when I faded into the world it disappeared. But when I rededicated as a man it came back. But not all the time. Stay in God's word and use the word against the enemy.
The same thing is happening to me I’m in tears because the voices in my head are saying negative things about God and I don’t mean it what so ever and it hurts because it seems like the stronger my relationship with God gets the worse my thoughts get :(

" keep saying it and also quote your favorite bible scriptures out loud. Put the enemy in his place. Tell him you are a child of God. And he's not welcomed. Pray to God about it as well and talk to him.
Just letting anyone who needs to know this I was battling evil thoughts for 2 months. I realized these thoughts weren’t mine. This brought me such peace, Jesus saved my from that season. I was saved yesterday and I am walking free today. Never give up👏🏼✝️
I pray the Lord delivers me. I was telling myself ohh Lord, I'm the worst worst human being on this earth, only to try looking it up and I saw many people here. I believe it's all coming from the demonic realm. May our faithful helper, the Holy Spirit and our Lord help us. This has given me so much hope, I need to fast and pray that the Lord helps me. I felt like the Holy Spirit has helped me clean everything up in my life only for this to pop up and start causing me misery. I believe the Lord will graciously take it away from me. I am SO glad you answered this! I had an intrusive blasphemous thought and, even though I rebuked it, I struggled with feeling as though I had lost my salvation despite knowing the impossibility of that. The one thought that kept emerging to my aid was that if one thought from Satan could make a person lose their salvation, no one would be saved. To think otherwise would be more blasphemous than that first intrusive thought.

@@albinsiby729 Biblical accounts seem to show that blasphemy against God is either speaking untrue things about him or acting treacherously against Him. These are actions (not thoughts). Certainly those actions can come from despising God, as you suggested, or simply from just being deceived. There is no human who hasn't spoken or believed an untrue thing about God at some point, or who hasn't acted treacherously against Him. This even goes for Christians. Thankfully the Bible also makes it clear that God forgives blasphemy and we can repent of it (except for one specific instance to which Jesus refers in the Gospels - for the sake of brevity I'll just encourage you to research on your own some quality teachings and commentary). As for thoughts, they can come from many different sources, so it's not always (maybe never) the case that if a bad thought comes to someone's mind they have sinned. This is really, really important to bear in mind, especially with intrusive thoughts. Satan can certainly throw some violent and disgusting thoughts at us. Sin comes with the decision to entertain the thought, believe it, act on it, ect. That's why the Bible teaches us to take every thought captive under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, to renew our minds in the Word of God, and to actively think upon pure, noble, and beautiful thoughts. I get these when ever I’m reading the Bible, listening to gospel music or anything to do with God Jesus Holy Spirit. It started happening when I was in my teens and I remember the first time it happened. I use to think I should stop because I was so afraid of blaspheming against God and thought many times I would surely go to hell because it’s unforgivable. Well that’s why I’m here tonight. I thank God for revealing how the accuser works through our thoughts. I pray to be delivered completely from these thought so I could read and meditate on the word of God and learn what God will have me do and what I need to do to please him without hindrance. I was in very serious spiritual warfare. 1. Start loving praying to God every hour 2. Read the bible. 3. Go walk the streets and tell about salvation about God and about satan warn people this will be a very strong weapon for you the devil will flee from you. 4. Fast at least 24 hour every week try 48 only water.
This is form of OCD known as Scrupulosity (Religious OCD). I have this form of OCD and its extremely debilitating. However I have been in treatment for a couple years and on medication and I have come a long ways. God bless anyone else dealing with this! Recovery is possible! Give yourself grace!
For 2 days i have been worshiping reading my Holy Bible and praying in those 2 day i started to fast and i saw the beauty of fasting, fasting made love to pray and worship for most of the time i didn't want to do nothing else but to worship the Lord i felt His love for a moment i thought i was hearing a voice to do more in God things so i started doing more until this night i was worshiping with a group throughout webcam and so it ended around 11:45pm i was getting sleepy and for some reason i wanted to go to bed after that but a voice in back in my head told read the Scriptures before you go to bed even tho i wanted to go to sleep so i was planning to read 2 chapters and then go to sleep but the voice told me read untill 1am but i wanted to go to sleep so i kept reading i was just thinking of the our to go to sleep(at this point i already know that I'm wrong you don't look for God with this kind of mind)so i was reading without understanding anything i started to get frustrated and then all sudden a blasphemous thoughts and cursing agaist the scriptures and mocking Bible name thoughts i was like noooo!! I was like no!! And i was asking for forgiveness asking for deliverance from this thoughts so i was feeling guilty and broken disappointed and confused and scared because of the course against the word of God.
when i wasnt so close to God ive never had these thoughts before. all i did was go to church. didnt sing along, didnt really pay attention to the pastors preaching. when i had to pray for my food i did it out of "only because my mom asked me to." i never willingly read my bible or prayed either. now im trying to develop an actual relationship with God. im trying my best to read my bible everyday, pray for the things i wouldnt usually pray for, pay more attention to my pastors preachings, sing along with the worship songs, and only now am i getting these thoughts. it seems satan had me happy when i was distant, and now hes trying to keep me from strengthening my relationship. Lord Jesus help me. i dont want these thoughts to exist to me. i want to go to heaven where its sinless. where satan and sins cannot penetrate our glorified bodies. let me forget the word blasphemy, let me forget everything that is against the Word of God. i dont want it in my life.
Same here! I am now trying to walk in the right path with Lord Christ Jesus. Then these intrusive thoughts began entering my mind (F word) whenever I'm praying it is like someone is putting it in a side of my mind. That is the time I realized that: if I really am abandoned, why would the bad guys try to attack me mentally? Some of my worst sins are under control now but the only problem is that: I am weak controlling my thoughts and the bad guy is attacking me on my weak spot

To fight blasphemous thoughts ,You need to walk in the Holy spirit ,pray and read Gods word on daily basis. He needs to be number 1 in your life in the first place ,if you will be lukewarm christian ,you wont be able to fight them. His word and prayer and fasting all together is a strong weapon. If you constantly seek God and renew your mind in his word ,then your thoughts will start to change and become godly thoughts and demons wont be able to send bad thoughts in your head. Pray that He gives you new heart and renewed mind.

They want you to leave God and they have many strategies towards every christian. So the more you will spend time with God in the prayer and his word ,the more your heart and your mind will be renewed. Would someone please pray for me? I've had highly blasphemous thoughts on god recently. Very disgusting things. I don't want them. I don't know what's wrong with me. When I was truly saved I was hearing these horrible voices and things that I would not do. Do you want to know why this happens? When you're getting so closer to God and Jesus and sharing the gospel with people and showing the truth about this world. The devil's going to get angry because he hates when you spread the word about Jesus. So what's he going to do he's going to attack you. He's going to make you want to give up. So just keep in mind that Jesus will still be with you

Almost every day my friend, but the less willing I am to dwell on those thoughts the more apparent God’s Grace and Mercy become. It’s just like someone with ill intent trying to get a reaction out of you and if they do not get the reaction they are looking for they always move on. I struggled with this kind of intrusive thought when I was younger due to OCD. There are Christian speakers with OCD. It’s helpful for anyone struggling with this. Pray. God will carry you out of this tunnel.
I think I have that... I get thoughts saying bad things about the Holy Spirit and the thoughts tell me that I committed the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. And I have random thoughts to walk a certain way or to do stuff certain ways and I am afraid its a mix of ocd and intrusive thoughts.

Hey, but how can true Christians have blasphemous thoughts? Yes, they do struggle with sin and are not sinless perfect, but isn't Blasphemy, like despising God? And how can a truly born again Christian despise God?
@@albinsiby729 the thoughts are not from the Christian they are from demons who put the thoughts there. That is the point. Christians are not sinless only Jesus is. Like the scripture says "if we say we have no sin,we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. " We are to guard our minds because satan attacks our minds. For a Christian the attacks are different he will seek to deceive us into believing we are not saved, that we are beyond hope that those thoughts are our own. Thoughts become sin when we entertain them and don't cast them down. So how can a Christian have those kinds of thoughts? In truth anyone can because are minds are the battle ground. Can a man not lust in his mind? Can a man not murder in his mind? Bible says he can. But it only becomes sin when you actually entertain them. Anyone can see a attractive person and either sin or not. The difference is you can see a person is attractive and still cast that idea down from ever manifesting into sin. God knows our minds are weak like our flesh but he's also given us tools to fight the flesh. Hope this helped.

Satan doesn’t bother with those who are already lost, he targets saved Christians out of spite because he knows he can not take their souls with him to hell but will try his best to attack them on a spiritual level. God recognised this that’s why he told us to take every thought captive and bring it to the obedience of Jesus Christ. Lastly Satan can choose to attack you in a different way and not necessarily through your thoughts , eg bringing destructive people into your life to try and throw you off course

@@donvitocorleone2098 do you know that I have blasphemous thoughts that directly insult God which makes me suffer it put me in stress and worry. I think it is because of anxiety or a kind of fear to God that makes us want to stay away from God to avoid bad thoughts. They said it is not come from us it's from devil. it is dangerous when it stay in us in a long time you can think or doubt to your self if it's still OCD or not anymore. The important is we don't want this and God knows that.

I felt like I was saying that to the holy spirit and jesus so I prayed but satan cussed out the holy spirit and said I hate you in my head to keep me from praying. It's a stronghold, get over it by learning about Jesus's love for you, but you MUST obey him always and when you fail ask for forgiveness and repent!! Learn about what the Bible says not just because it's the bible but the meaning in it

Wait, since you've gotten cured I need your help, I suffer from blasphemous thoughts as well. Like I love satan" and other disgusting thoughts. It scares me so much, I don't know where they come from, they just pop up in my mind. I've prayed a lot but I don't know if it's working. I just want those thoughts gone, they're so disgusting and weird. They bother me most at night, and it makes me feel like I want to die. Does anybody else have these thoughts?? I feel so alone...
@Big Mac No...not completely. But it's better, it's so much better! Don't give up. Time will heal you okay? I understand what it's like. What helped me is ignoring it and telling somebody, please tell somebody you trust about this. Of course, I have good days and bad days, in which the thoughts seem to bother me more than normal. But you have to remember that these thoughts aren't you and they aren't what you mean because if they were you wouldn't be feeling so guilty. God sees what you're going through and he won't condemn you for it. Just stay strong and remember this WILL NOT last forever!

They went away but the harassment returned. A new obsession is the idea of “selling your soul” to the bad one.. you know who, I ain’t saying his name. I thought things like that and I hate them, I prayed and prayed but they keep coming back. Worse and worse. Nintendo Dude hey! I’ve been waiting for you to reach out to me. I’m right here if you ever want to talk. Please talk to your parents about it, or somebody you trust in real life. I told my mom about it and it helped. As for the thoughts going away, it takes time, over time they’ll start to get less and less relevant and you’ll eventually forget them. I still get them sometimes, but they don’t bother me as much anymore. I’ll keep you in my prayers. When I used to have them a lot, I’d find that distracting myself with something, anything really helped. For example I played computer games and other things I enjoyed like hobbies. Taking walks helped me a lot as well because it was a time for me to just be alone, breathe in fresh air and reflect. Remember that you are not alone. A lot of people go through this, there is nothing wrong with you. It’s completely normal to have intrusive thoughts. God understands what you’re going through and he will not condemn you for it. It sounds like they’re really bad, and I’m so sorry that you have to go through this. I completely understand you. I promise you you’ll get through this, it will end, even if it doesn’t feel like it. It’s okay to cry sometimes, it’s also okay to not be okay too. I’m always going to be here if you need somebody to talk to.

These horrible thoughts actually emerged in my mind out of the blue, as i read the bible. I immediately rebuked them in the name of Jesus then asked for forgiveness due to the guilt that took over!
don’t worry i’m also in the spiritual battle with you, remember everything in the bible is true so when Jesus says “I am always with you” it’s true just pray and Jesus shall give you peace trust me Jesus is with you always! I know God will forgive me because he knows that I hate these thoughts and it’s the enemy trying to put thoughts in my mind. But what I’m worried about is that it’s actually ME thinking these blasphemous thoughts.

Such a great response, much of these thoughts comes from the enemy. Romans 8 reminds us God does not condemn us and there’s nothing that could separate Him from those who are called according to His purpose
Guard your heart and your mind, and what you let in to your mind. Thoughts come and go, but experiences and choices become memories, and those tend to pop up again. Bring everything to God: surrender it to Him, that your load may lighten, rather than trying to hang on to things that ultimately are just causing you problems. I've a long way to go, but He is faithful.
What if you are focusing on something else and you realize that you uttered a piece of thought to yourself but you realized and quickly responded by saying no that is not what I believe and say the truth. Is it a sin? I don't know?
@@nicm2608 Don't know, to be honest. I do know that our train of thought isn't necessarily what we believe - that thoughts can come and go that aren't ours. I do know that some folks have less control over their mouths than others (if someone has a history of swearing, for example), but that strikes me as a different battle to fight and already represents something that is being fought. I do know as well, however, that what we believe isn't determined by our verbal mistakes or random thoughts that come and go. Don't drown in the past - it's similar to drowning 'in the future' if you're anxious about financial debts or the like. If you know you did wrong, repent and seek strength to do better. If you're not sure, seek wisdom and clarity. In either case, keep moving forward. Once you've spent enough time on it - and you likely have if you're worried enough to post something like you did! - eyes on God, not on the issue.
John Bunyans "Grace abounding to the chief of sinners" is a book that adresses this topic in great honest detail. He struggled with EXTREME blasphemous thoughts about God.

If you struggle with blasphemous thoughts that won't go away you may be suffering from OCD. Particularly if you find yourself trying really hard NOT to think the thoughts only to find that you think them more (that's an obsession) and then go through routines such as seeking confirmation that you haven't committed the unforgivable sin or consulting pastors (that's an compulsion). The best advice Pastor John gives here is to think of the thought as a fly. Swat it away. Don't panic. Don't seek assurance. Just swat it away. The intensity of your battle is actually what's causing you to think that thoughts over and over again.
It breaks my heart to see so many people suffer like I did/do but take heart jesus said the first shall be last and the last shall be first I think he ment the ones who were boastful about their salvation and holiness will come after all of us who have had to fight so hard day and night to keep our faith and our sanity we know the truth that brings life that’s why I think our affliction mainly started in childhood what the devil meant for evil God uses for the good of his children

From the time i gave my life to Jesus, I was so happy. I would just day dream about the Lord. Then one day these terrible thoughts came like someone was inside my head. I couldn't control them. I cried and my joy turned to depression. The thoughts also told me I was too serious about God. So I tried to ease off. But they didn't stop. I prayed alot and when they come I start to praise God until they go. I also think about scripture verses that talk about the holiness, truth and beauty of Jesus. This helps alot. I'm not letting the devil stop me. I share the gospel will everyone, give out tracts on the streets. This helped a lot. I am still fighting. I can't believe this is happening to others too. Don't give up. If you weren't on the right track the devil wouldn't bother you. What amazes me is that when I pray for anything , God still answers. And I feel encourage although I don't feel worthy.

I’m someone who struggles with this EVERY DAY! I’ve had Attention Deficit Disorder, along with anxiety and depression issues for most of my life. Anxiety & depression runs in my family unfortunately. I can tell you from experience it feels like a mental form of hell. Dealing with it for so long has pushed me into a form of depersonalization, which I’ve struggled with for months. My psychiatrist is aware of it, and the medication helps a lot. I’ve been getting better a lot the last few months, but every day is still a struggle. I pray constantly for strength and for mercy, because I’ve always known what God’s voice sounds like to me. Intrusive thoughts happen to me every y. They’re mostly harassment of evil cursing a and insults. I just say, “Shut up satan. I hate you.” The struggle disappears for awhile but it comes back after awhile.
Cat Galaxy i think god understands that these are just thoughts and we can’t control them. talking to someone is always best because i was dealing with similar things and just talking to someone about it makes me feel so much better!
Our minds are also very easily prone to suggestion. Triggers can be found in words, descriptions, pictures, etc. I believe often this is the cause and not necessarily brought by our own minds and can’t help but sense our enemies have set up ways to “get in our heads” through the internet, TV, etc. We can never forget the spiritual world around us and the battle being ensued both for and against us. It’s outside our grasp to understand but we can look forward to the day when these things shall pass and be forgotten forever. Until then, trust the Word of God over all other things. 🕊
Sir, I think that also the problem, but more accurately is that this man who himself called Hayden has a mental illness. Thus so the way he gets the thoughts and the struggle he has been through is not the same as normal people. I think that it needs proper care to from psychologist.
David Christorei, I’m not a sure believer in psychology, but in prayer without ceasing and the power of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God. I’ve seen the Lord do miracles beyond man’s ability to conquer (freedom from severe nightmares & depression & rage, paranoia & drug abuse, suicidal tendencies) so “when the Son sets you free you are free indeed” becomes real and proven true. He made us and knows our minds best. Moreover, I wonder if this idea itself could be another “suggestion” and why many are on medication they may not need. We characterize normal human emotions (i.e., deep sadness) as mental illness when Jesus Himself said, “My soul is consumed with sorrow to the point of death” and the Bible is replete with similar cases that I would never call “mental illness.” I can’t diagnose hypothetically, but strongly believe the world we live in today is much more wicked than just a few decades ago and contributes to a lot of what we now see (a huge spiritual battle). It also confirms the Lord’s return is getting much closer. But should the Lord tarry, this life is short. May we all cling to the Lord and His Word until we are in His awesome presence one day! 🕊

Albin Siby, It can happen but blasphemy is usually defined as taking the Lord’s Name in vain, being irreverent and crude, being sacrilegious, cursing, and desecration. If you feel like you “despise God” it could be because you’ve undergone something difficult that you don’t fully understand or you struggle with suffering altogether. The fact that despising God, who is good, bothers you is a good thing. It shows your spirit is battling with the thoughts of the flesh and you want to be rid of it. Our enemies are both worldly and spiritual. There are occultists standing against us, along with Satan and demons. But trust Jesus when He says, “Do not fear.” Also immerse yourself in the Bible so the verses come to your mind when you’re attacked. I don’t think we read it near as much as we should. We let other things sidetrack us. All the verses I’m giving you are coming from memory. Also remember that “we are hidden with Christ in God.” Think about that. It’s profound. And “no weapon formed against me shall prosper.” We must always cling to the Father and the Son. They’ve given us the Holy Spirit to “guide us into all truth.” Finally, try to determine the triggers. Is it TV, the internet, friends? Or does it happen on its own? I would encourage you to look up Scriptures that talk about the goodness and love of God (there’s a lot). Also, “Do not rely on our own understanding.” Be thankful and steadfast in your sufferings. Through my own trials, I’ve gained faith and thank God for “trying me in the fire.” He’s preparing all of us for the day we get to stand in His beautiful presence. I’ve been dealing with this for 20 years. I hate it. Over the years I’ve prayed so much, read the Bible so much, had Faith, lost Faith, regained it etc..nothing really helps. I try to ignore it when it happens but it depresses me sometimes. I wish this shit never happened to me.
Listen, whatever you do DONT stop trying. I was on this website where someone shared that they had feared the committed sin against the Holy Spirit... Long story he gradually stopped praying, reading and etc to the point he gave up on basically everything. Don’t toss away your life. It’s funny you say 20 years, because John Climacus who is an ancient writer who writes about blasphemous thoughts said he knew a monk who had struggled with this for about 20 years too. You can type his name and “blasphemous thought” if your interested but my point is the second you loose your hope your loose your life. Maybe that sounds extreme but if you stop trying you just descend into an eerie abyss of grief until you harden your own heart
I am very surprised today to know that there are many people going through these...and we all have experienced and/or experiancing the same pain. But am here to tell you that i was in this mess 6 years ego but God forgave me and made rise strong! but it didnt totally vanishes because of my own fault! what am trying to say is that brother, no matter what dont loose your hope your faith and your love for God! Because He has his own time , so stay strong and have faith in Lord Jesus Christ that he never fogets you , never forgets all of us!! and always remember no matter what 'God lets setan test those people whom he loves ' just like He did to Job!! Pray pray pray stay strong and let God do the rest and have faith in Him.

Thank you so much guys, I have been going through these dark thoughts since I was a kid, it would be negative thoughts about anything and positive or praising things I hate.... It’s so hard , sometimes you want to give up on everything, but I try to ignore them and declare the word of God. This thing made me realize that I love God, because Im now able to have a discerning mind and find peace in the word of God and what I really think about him. Catholics have an advantage in this matter. Confession is a big help. Just to speak to a minister of Christ and get assurance can clear the mind and heart. I’m not sure about other communities but surely there is someone to speak to or pray with? Blessings
I needed to hear this; I now understand. It's gotten worse since I've been reading my bible more and walking on the righteous path of stopping my sinful habits one day at a time. I pray and tell myself that God has seen my progress, and he knows that I'm on his side and accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Over time, I've ignored these intrusive thoughts directing me off God's path. Stay on the path.
Mr BoB Wow man that is a very good step your taking in your life I really respect and appreciate you for that. I will tell you what my counselor told me because God sent her in my life when I was going through a tough battle. Whenever you have a bad thought, it is important that you don’t meditate on these thoughts or act on them. When you get a bad thought don’t try to fight it but rather think about something else because when u get a thought and continue to think about it then it is a sin. When u act on a bad thought as in you do what the evil thought says then it is also a sin. I had always had a problem with this because I would always have these thoughts that are just so evil it drives me crazy. My counselor told me that whenever I had a bad thought just repeat this phrase. “Bad thoughts, no big deal”. It’s a catche phrase but yea just don’t meditate and continue to think about the thought that came to you. The more you practice this and not meditate on evil thoughts the less frequent these bad thoughts would come to you. But ayyy man i am very happy that you are looking to serve the Lord. (2 Timothy 1:7) And remember “Gods grace is sufficient for us, our strength is made perfect in weakness”. To anyone who is going through this, I am currently fighting disgusting and horrific thoughts towards God, Christ, and other good people. These thoughts pop up in my mind every 30 seconds every single day. I have developed Schizophrenia. You are definitely not alone. These are our true thoughts but attacks on us by our enemy. Fight on and trample over.

Speaking in tongues done nothing but arouse my flesh. When I stopped speaking in tongues I've been more at peace the Lord has delivered me from lust. My mind is more self controlled especially when dealing with bad thoughts as thoughts will always try and deceive us. I've never been in a better place since I've stopped speaking with the fleshy tongue I was deceived into speaking with immature christians. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit the Spirit of truth who rescued me and still fights for me amen.

And I love how you helped me interpret what Jesus was saying in that parable and that He is not hard, as I mature spiritually I am better understanding that is the way Jesus is vs when I first read the Gospel and was very afraid of not being able to live up to any of what God expected but as I have prayed and asked for help I have slowly been able to understand more and become a better Christian and servant and this video you all made is an answer to my prayers as well to help me rid myself of condemning thoughts. I did my lower back in a few years back and was in permanent agony for 3 months and couldn't walk properly for 6 months (i didn't know if i'd get better) when i lived alone. It interfered with a relationship that i wanted to start. I'd spend 10 mins getting from bed to bathroom in the morning shouting and cursing at god. I'd then pause and thank god for all i had and would feel a warm happy glow all over. Turns out, I have an infinite god that is not bothered about whether i shout and swear. I'd still be in agony at this point after my rant but could vaguely see some wry humour in my situation. Mind you, I haven't spent the last 20yrs of my life sitting theorizing about tenous biblical quotes but have instead spent each day living in gratitude for what i have, the amazingness of the world, for being a bog-standard human being with some awareness of how incredible life and the universe is, and for not being so wrapped up in myself and convoluted moral/neurotic theorizing that i can go and try and live as a decent human each day in the world about me and have some thought for others with a basic concept of trying to practice some kindness and usefulness in the daily life.
Once I was so upset about the utterly rebellious thoughts I was having that during prayer one evening I simply asked the Lord if I was forsaken. I was at my witts end. While I was on my knees, the Lord spoke to my heart and told me to stand up. Then He said for me to lift my hands to Heaven and worship and as I started praising Him, the joy of the Lord washed over me so heavily I fell flat to the floor. The devil is the accuser of the brethren ,and will attack you with thought, then blame you for having the thought. This is a war. Even Jesus was attacked with thoughts like throwing Himself from a tower. It probably happened more than once seeing he was tempted all the way up to His death on the cross. Don't give up. Endure to the end.
I have been struggling with severe anxiety and intrusive thoughts for a while. I do have to say listening to this is helping me a lot. Helping me calm down and know that Jesus is there for me. That I still have a good relationship with God. Thank you so much.

Don't dwell on thoughts. Rejoice in the fact that you can identify them, and that you know they convict you as a sinner. Regeneration is a process, and identifying your guilt in blasphemous thoughts is Proof Positive of the Gospel, and how you know that you are truly a Christian. Thank Jesus for that revelation, and continue to grow and regenerate as you head toward the ultimate goal of sanctification, when you will finally stand before the Creator, and Christ proclaims to the Father that you belong to Him, and He will sanctify you, making you perfect so that you can be in the presence of His Glory.
John hit three points that I hadn't realized were connected, or at least not as much as I see they are now. I came here because of struggling with intrusive thoughts, and instead got that and other struggles brought to the light. Thank you John and co and God for this ministry
knowing how sinful i am, not just by actions but also my thoughts helped me realize how much more i need Jesus. i am more sinful than i know and more loved than i can ever know. i often ask God why did you choose me? i am a terrible christian, probably the worst.
That’s how I feel! I feel like there is no one worse than me. I used to read/watch a lot of BL, Yaoi and other sinful stuff which really messed up my mind. It’s like how kids innocent in mind and adults (knowing more) tend to see normal things to a kid in a dirty minded way. I’m not older than 15 but when I came to Christ these thoughts weren’t a problem. I actually started to transition out of thinking that way kinda. But 11 months later these thoughts come up... it’s like my lustful mind is creeping back and spinning webs of blasphemy. Sometimes it will be random lustful acts with or about God and other times it will be tied to something im doing or thinking. Even holding a pencil a certain way or hearing certain words that seem normal to most turns into blasphemy. It’s like my mind converts these seemingly normal things to perverted things. I am terrified these thoughts are from me and am broken about it.
After I started getting back into consistent alone time with God, then these blasphemous thoughts came from out of nowhere! I believe it’s my flesh, but I could still hear the voice of God speaking to me through the reading of the word despite these instructive thoughts. Another big help is turning on worship music or singing it to myself when I’m out and those thoughts go away. It’s definitely an unsettling experience.
Hayden, you are not alone buddy! I have also had these thoughts before. I think it's a real testament to your faith that #1 these thoughts are intrusive intrusive in nature to you and against what you truly believe/desire and #2 that the spirit is working in you enough for you to do self reflection while studying, making sure that your walk adds up to obedience to the word! This is the sign of having the spirit of God. Remeber that most of the unbelieving world could care less about these matters that you are obviously upset about. This again shows you have the spirit living in you friend! When I have thoughts like this I submit them to Christ and pray for him to remove them. Try not to doubt your faith in these moments because this is when our faith is tested. Push ob through them and keep the faith. I'm praying for you brother!
