Hi Tom, yes definitely the correct way to proceed is a conversion to a two pipe system, no doubt about it. I also would have done it in plastic under the floor, but as you know I am a big fan of copper and soldering like yourself. The pipework is looking much better now, as you say it certainly needed that haircut 😂, I look forward to the next episode. As always have a great week and take care Tom. 👍👍👍

That pipe work was probably a design as a water flume for Blackpool Beach, but that Water was dizzy bit the time it got back to the Boiler😂😂 Good video Tom, bet you thought we were out of it yesterday 😂 see you on the next one 👍👍👍👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🍺

Agree 100% with your decision Tom, you would have been back at this job every week in the winter with the new rads not heating up. Like yourself I do like to use copper but hep does have its place. Great explanation of your thought process on this job.

Thanks for the support as always Andy, the last thing you want is the dreaded call back to a customer where you know what the problem is and you can't fix it, at least with a new system they should be nice and warm

As an apprentice I was told do a job as if you were doing it for yourself that way you know it's as good as you can get it ,nice to see you wouldn't sign off on that original system

You did right! Across the rd from my workshop is the “old forge” which has a badly installed one pipe system that has been extended! Worst possible scenario! I put a couple of days into it flushing and clipping up pipes to get rid of air traps, once circulating it worked quite well from a coal fired Dedeitrich stove, but if left off for more than a couple of days it would refuse to circulate till it was all bled out again. Guy was to tight to put a two pipe in! He paid me more than it would have cost to do it properly! Good work man! Phil

Thanks for the support as always Phil, I explained to the builder by the time I've moved the pipes anyway on this one for the new radiators it was nearly as quick to repipe, you only end up going back when it don't work properly

Hey Tom you made light work of that one, I’d John Wayne did that heating system a few years ago 😂, You probably know that the blue Bosch professional flat bit bit the screw tip & the makita Torque screw drill are absolutely savage for drilling joints, Brilliant video as always mate 😎👍🤜

Tom looking at the push fit disaster under the floor it looked like some of the additions were piped in one side out out the other making them inline with the pipe in effect , so it would never work . It should be Tee'd into both sides to maintain the flow , the last tall newer radiator being an example with the link by 2 x Tee's to continue the circuit.

Hi Tom i agree with you on it not working properly on a one pipe system, hot and cold spots all over the system nightmare, phone calls please come back my rads are not getting hot, i would have walk away as well if they hadn't agreed to two pipe system, i'm not lover of speedfit but sometimes you have to do whats what on jobs, good job😀
