The idea of women wearing clothing that covers the entire body and/or face may seem completely foreign to many Westerners. Some countries, like France, have even banned burkas, making it illegal for anyone to cover their face in public places. However, in countries like Indonesia where the majority of the population is Muslim, wearing some form of headscarf is not uncommon. But have you ever wondered how the women who wear hijabs, niqabs, or burkas, feel about wearing these types of clothes? Do they find wearing these clothes as stifling or oppressive as how the outside world view them to be? Our Asian Boss reporter Ramzy hit the streets of Bogor to find out.
