It was so far into the pregnancy the doctor let her have it. She had the baby and left it in the hospital. The state let the baby be put in Foster Care. The girl got counseling. After the baby was 21 years old the girl a grown woman by then, and after years of counseling decided to meet the baby that they thought was too late to abort. She was 13 years old when she had the baby. They were more in the age of sisters instead of mother and daughter. The girls grandmother said to keep tract of the baby. So they did. A woman who was close to the family adopted her and raised the baby as her own. When the grandmother passed the girl decided to meet the baby she left in the hospital. Long story shortened. They got on well. The baby is 37 years old and the mom who was far gone for the abortion is 50 now and a grandmother of a 10 year old granddaughter from the child . It could have went the other way except I'm guessing that her age and how far into the pregnancy the doctor and her mom decided to let her have the baby. The perpetrator who raped her was a 72 year old man and he was put in prison despite his age. What women and girls go through. A co worker of mine was pregnant at 14 and also put the baby up for adoption. I was raped at 10 years old but my pelvis was so small and tight the old man didn't penetrate me. He was 84 years old and thought the space was inside of me. I was still not penetrated. This is the sad story of how some women/ girls probably opt for abortion. They still need counseling, How ever they feel about it being right or wrong they will live with there ordeal and choice. It's not always because they are like the saying goes, sleeping around and not being careful. That can be the case for some. Maybe the birth control didn't work. My sister when she was married in got pregnant while on birth control once. The baby was born with birth defects. She and her husband had no health insurance and a nurse adopted the baby. My sister lost track. Back then adoption agencies were very strict and didn't give information. If that girl is still alive she would be about 53 years old.
