Great explanation video! Good on you for taking the initiative to create some documentation on raid mechanics, so other people can finally learn about how they work without needing to search or ask around!
This right here is the pinnacle of technical minecraft content. Even though I personally hate the existence of stacking raid farms, this video is just so beautifully made, so well explained and so incredibly descriptive. The pacing and animations are absolutely on point and I understood everything you said, even though I'm not interested in the topic! Other technical content creators: take notes! this is how you elevate a community. This is how you inspire others to be better. This is peak technical content.
Very well done, I grossly underestimated the complexity of the mechanics ;-) almost like the old door-based Iron Farms in complexity which is nice to see.
Brilliant. It’s way beyond my pay grade. What this video shows clearly is 1) how really smart people can figure out really hard problems and 2) the value of “open” media like JAVA script. I don’t know exactly how to say these things in English. I hope my thoughts make sense.
I watched this too find out why raid farms dont end after a certain number of waves. This video answered everything; and provided me better insight into raids. Thank you,
Understood every point😁 But I had to watch the video twice because while watching for first time I nearly slept due to clam and relaxing music and voiceover😂 Keep the work
i came to this video to find out how a raid farm works to make a raid farm of my own design but all this is too complicated to me but this rlly helps tysm for this video
Thx on explaining on how it works, W, building one of the first if not the first 1.21 automatic raid farm with no Redstone experience. I got at least a storage system ready to be hooked up to an advance ominous bottle giver system, was able to conclude with my own test on wolf being able to kill drop ominous bottle. unfortunately, no fortune due to being able to hold a weapon or offhand swing because Minecraft a screw over and the only why I can think is using ghast fire balls maybe working because it acts like a bow and have passive enactments of a sword pass through, I'll do that another time.
Really good explanations, it’s been a while since I wanted to design a raid farm and this video is everything I need to do so, thank you it’s awesome ! Subscribed too can’t wait for more
Maybe this has changed since the video was made, but it seems the longest a villager can take to notice a workstation is 40 game ticks, not 20. A villager only takes 20 game ticks to notice a bed, though.
so, it was said that the longest time required to reclaim a point of interest is 20gt - so does it mean that if the villiger reclaims it in less than 20gt the connection is not lost and the raid center stays the same? idk if i got that correctly? but thx, now i can make my own raid farm!
No, the raid center will shift when the POI is removed, so if even if the villager claims back the work station 1gt after the POI is removed, the raid center will still shift first. however, that also means that if the raid center shifts the second time, it might backflow if the previous villager reclaims the POI too fast, so usually you will want the villager to be unable to reclaim its POI before certain time.
@@Scorpio03 so how it was meant in the video? bc villigers can find the workstation after longer time than 20gt and then i have no ideo what it was supposed to mean :D
@@klep3742 its like, when the villager loses its job, it will try to find a job 1~20gt after that, if it fails then it will try again, I dont really know the details cuz i dont know how to read the code
4:05 i Make this farm. this is must have farm in any survial. lag friendly, cheap materials, crazy drops, you even get XP more than you can collect.. and shulker craft made block by block tutorial for this farm. Still work in 1.20.4
Looks so neat and well made along with the information it holds, it's perfect with a CLEAR VOICE unlike mine. I'm also wayyy to stupid to understand it as deep as you guys may I link this in my video ?
So well explained and animated, love the video! However here's one thing that I still don't understand. I built rays works raid farm in version 1.18 but banner pillagers are not giving back bad omen. Is this because they are part of the raid? And is there any solution to fix that?
I don’t know why multiple waves are produced in this way. I’m thinking the entire raid should be disabled when the first wave is removed from the range. Or, this could be the way to nerf stacking in the future?
Really good video! Maybe I missed something tho but is it possible to higher or lower a stacking raid farm ? Will it break the farm ? Thank you a lot !
@@thomlb4301 It's basically starting a raid in the range of a pillager outpost and collecting all the pillagers spawned, killing them to get their banner and drop the banner to a pillager. The pillager will pick up the banner to become a captain. Store them up.
Heyyy i made a raid farm which should spawn all of 5he waves at once but it only spawns the first wave im on hard difficulty idk why it does that the raid just disappears
I have problems with the farm I am pretty sure it is because the villagers don't recognize the job site within 20 ticks. This porbely has to do with the server running on paper. Is there something in the config of paper I can change so villagers act like in vanilla
I build the stacking raid farm by ianxofour. after afking for like 5~10 minutes the armor stand breaks..I tried to fix it but that didn't happen.. it still breaks.. can you please help me?
