@@MichaelG-ur1dd There’s a reason why FSU, Clemson or anyone else in the ACC that wants out has not officially announced they are leaving. The B1G hit pause on expansion and will not expand until they get ND to join. That will take awhile. The SEC also has expansion on pause as well to play a couple of seasons with their 16 members. There is no real rush since neither of the P-2 are expanding right now. The ACC and those that have litigation against them will have to play it out through the courts first. Once that’s decided and someone officially announces they are leaving, we’ll see if either of the P-2 are prepared to push play on expansion. Now is the time to prepare for another great upcoming season and the new 12 team CFP.

The reasons why Clemson & Florida St have not announced they are leaving are 1: As of now the GOR ends in 2037. Unlike the PAC schools which knew it was 08/01/24. 2: NO Conference will touch them until they are free of the ACC. Why? The Conference becomes open to a lawsuit for tampering.

That is possible. However, keep in mind ESPN allowed the most valuable non LA PAC schools to go to the Big 10 & Fox ( UO & UW). My scenario has been the “Quid Pro Quo.” How? 1:,ACC gets what it wants: Conference remains alive.,ESPN not walking away.. Albeit at a smaller amount. Not to mention exit fees from FSU etc, 2: SEC gets UNC &’UVA to expand their footprint, and help with basketball, research & academics. 3: Fox gets into Florida with FSU.. 4: Big 10 gets FSU and probably Clemson ( if not Miami) for football. 5: ESPN after spending billions on sports packages ( like the NBA) does not have to spend full $ putting 4 schools in the SEC
