Doing anything you have never done before is usually difficult. Once you learn more about the process it is pretty mindless. I recommend watching some videos by renaissance periodization and Jeff nippard to get started on learning how to correctly track your calories, and the nuances behind weight loss, maintenance, and weight gain. I just finished a cut where I lost 24 pounds. I believe I lost very minimal muscle (if any at all) do to the fact that I was still making a little progress on all my lifts throughout the cut. Granted this is likely due to factors such as my high BF %, high protien consumption, not crash dieting to lose the weight (1% of total body weight per week), and sticking to a training program focused on hitting each muscle twice per week (10-20 sets), progressively overloading, adequate recovery, ect. Easiest cut I've ever done honestly. I was pretty much able to predict my weight loss week per week as long as I was consistent with my diet plan.
@@mildhotpeppers this was really helpful I think we’re on opposite sides of the fitness scale though because I don’t weight lift the most weight I lift is 3-5lbs I do track cheer and physical therapy so I am not much into protein or bulking I eat pretty small portion regular foods with veggies lean meats and fruits I appreciate the help and advice tho !!
