I know everyone wants the Djent from baritones but there's something hypnotic about the moody tones you get clean and with reverb. Even just a little crunch gives it a lot of soul.
@DylanWOWilliams

I use a baritone or jazza nd ambient type stuff. It’s just so hypnotic! It’s like Justin Chancellor using a bass as the melody in his music. It’s so deep and profound, you know?

Gretsch guitars are amazing for heavy dropped tones and fuzz. I play stoner/heavy psychedelic on a standard scale Streamliner, it sounds wicked in Cstd.
@SisterRose
@SisterRose 2 года назад
Would you recommend a Tele Cabronita copy downtuned? I was worried the HBs would be too low output/jangly but I generally prefer that sound. I'm looking to play . From what I can see potentially either very muddy or very jangly pickups can work for Stoner depending on the vibe you're going for. This guitar sounds a lot better to me than a lot of the "regular" HB baritones, though people usually play Djent on those.

I'm thinking if getting one for doom, drone, and all that. Does the one you use have low output pickups and does it matter too much with these high gain fuzzy genres?
@maciekszukaa2688
@maciekszukaa2688 7 месяцев назад
@@SlowlyYouRot first of all it is important to note that there is a misconception that heavy tones require high output pups, it's an oversimplification. It depends on particular tone you are going for. If you want a gainy, tight tone for your trash metal record, of course you want high output. But if you go for a different kind of heavy, in this case fuzzy, colorful dirt, i would say filtertron/broadtron pickups are a great choice. The bright, twangy character keeps fuzzed out chords full of harmonic content, textures and colours. I even swapped factory broadtrons for filtertrons, which are even brighter and the output is quite low, but what matters here is the expressive, dynamic nature of gretch-like pickups. I'm almost writing a thesis here lol, so bottom line is - it depends on the sound you are going for, but if you want more dynamic sound and more textured fuzz tone, brighter pickups are way to go, and filtertrons are an amazing best-of-both-worlds, giving the expression of a single (kind of) and the utility of a humbuck

The cleanish-crunch tones are jaw dropping honestly. It’s as if you’re running a piano backing the guitar. And the djenty riffing towards the end is full of clarity - I always like how low-mid output pickups work with high gain staging, rather than struggling with tone after flooding your chain with every possible ‘high gain’ marketed gear...

Loving the staind riff. Or at least that’s what it sounded like “it’s been a while”

My first love will always be Gretsch -- thanks for giving their baritones a good shake. I've got a regular Jet Club single cut that I love, even though it's bottom of the barrel it still sounds great. Once I get my hands on a good hardtail strat, I am likely to pick up a baritone Gretsch.

This vid got me subscribed man. Honestly, there is definitely something going on with that gretsch. It looks absolutely solid. I am new to baritones and the whole idea of longer scale guitars, and I should say, with your set up and playing, I am hooked man! It's just whole new territory and I am loving it! Keep it up, stay safe always!. . .

We are cut from the same cloth for sure. Stuff like Karnivool and Sikth but also into the ambient vibes. The guitar sounds fucking brutal and as always your improvisation bring a smile to my face.

The high gain tones are honestly filthy, would love to hear this guitar on a hard rock track (ala Alter Bridge) or something like that

I swear Rabea has one of the best riffs out there. Always inspired to pick up guitar after listening to his videos. Also, GASing hard. I need this guitar
