My boyfriend is a halfie, so he confessed in Japanese and our common language. He did not just confess but he also narrated the whole story of when, where, why and how his feelings for me began.
Seems like the couple that had been longest together were more open compared to the previous couples where the ladies more like took a back seat in responding to queries. Confessions are a curious culture.
I like how Japanese want the affection to be directly said to start a relationship whereas they r more than happy in other areas of the relationship to be indirect and very likely keep feelings from each other till their deathbed for the rest of the marriage/relationship..
When someone confess to you but you don't know if it was true or just a joke specially you have a low self esteem so you can't believe iy and just ignore it so you end up having no relationship huhjhhhuhhh
I'm Canadian and I would prefer if a guy confessed his feelings for me in real life. When done through text messages, I just don't...really feel it, you know. I'm old school when it comes to confessions despite my young age.
I didn't know about kokuhaku confessions. I thought it was just some silly thing they did in anime and old movies. I kind of took my girl off-guard and confused her for a day for kissing her without a kokuhaku. But she explained to me about it all and I told her my intentions and then we were both good. However, it was her busybody friends that never forgave me for "skipping" it.
I'm from the UK and we do confess love. It's just not that big of a deal like in Japan. Ours are more like: Guy or Girl: Will you go out with me/Do you want to go out sometime? We wouldn't really say "I love you" until you're in a relationship. Most adults would ask for first and second dates before officially starting a relationship. But I'm only 14 so people my age would say "Will you go out with me?" and sometimes it's over text which isn't romantic at all. I'd say that's like hiding your feelings.
I think that it takes a long time for you to be ready to say "I love you", but I think it's the problem with the translations, because when they say SUKI , they mean I like you, and AISHITERU would be the equivalent of I love you. There is no way you could say I love you to someone before dating right? It doesn't make sense, you don't know the person well enough.
My logarithm is whack, but since I watched it, I’m all for it. This is one of the cute things about Japanese culture. It’s nice to know that they like to establish a foundation so there’s no confusion. I’m all for that since that means they aren’t as afraid of commitment.
You have to ask the girl if she wants to be your girlfriend in my country. If you don't do that, both of you are allowed to see other people. It's important to learn how dating works in the culture of the person you are interested before you do something wrong.
here in the Philippines, we have a courtship period where both men and women need to know each other first (specially women). The long they need to wait more, the long the relationship last.
I've been asked out a couple times but I always felt obligated to yes because I didn't want to hurt the guy's feelings. Those relationships only lasted a week. My last boyfriend lasted 9 years and even have children together. I feel like, if the feelings are mutual then you'll slowly get attached to one another. and eventually become a couple.
Good video. I didn't know if anime exaggerated the whole topic of confession for the sake of entertainment, but it seems anime got it pretty much right.
I'm Asian and i really prefer if guys confess to me with words because i dont like assuming things because of their actions and then they get upset that i apparently 'dont' notice their feelings, they say that actions speak louder than words but i also want them to confirm it😓
Fun fact- lots of girls and by lot i mean more than 10 have already confessed me but none of them actually fascinate me, but there's a girl i haven fallen for her and started having chats with her but after 2 years i found that I'm just a good friend to her not even slight liking towards me. Irony isn't it one boy who is so popular among girls but never got his own choice in love life!! Well this is life mates....smh
Nice music to go a long with this but...how is this Autos and Vehicles? I'd also like to know what the names of the song(s) that's playing during the video.
I feel like im more Japanese thinking than American. I like to know a person's feelings first. Even if actions seem to show he likes me, i want to know in words lol. I dont like assuming things.
Congratulations to the last couple being in 5 years relationship & that too long distant now, I wish Good luck for a very happy future for both together.
+dongmaster2 I don't understand how, exactly. To me it seems quite sensible there would be an accepted social convention where someone would reveal their feelings to the other party in a clear manner. Seems much more practical then the Western tradition of hanging out until "it just happens" (presumably after both parties are sufficiently drunk, I guess).
+dongmaster2 - I've been here 16 years and never had a problem with it. The only resistance is when most females automatically assume that you're not able to communicate in Japanese, so they don't even give you the time of day! Their loss. Fortunately for me, I found a great Japanese girl 4 years ago and our communication is second to none! As a result, we enjoy great times together from dining out, walks on the beach, traveling together and of course, the personal aspect is through the roof! ;) Communication is key! There are of course those women who while they find you fascinating, will simply not be interested in you romantically or sexually, just because you're a foreigner. These are the ones to watch out for, as their touches and interest in the west would be taken as signs of romantic or sexual interest, when in fact they are not.
My bf is Japanese, and he is really shy. but i always feel that he loves me.. he is always shy until he confessed to my friend that loves me.. We started like a pseudo relationship, after that he confessed directly..i can still count how many times he says i love you 4x only 😆and now we're 1year and 1month long distance relationship, hopefully lockdown will be finish soon so he can go to Philippines..Japanese man are always shy no hugs and kisses culture like us.
My Japanese bf confess his love after several dates. So cute. But I already know that he’s into me. I didn’t really assume I just wait him to say daisuki 😂
I’m from the UK and if I started getting close to someone would definitely need some clarity. What if I got the signals wrong? That would be pretty embarrassing 😖
krystel_xd they dont directly tell u how they feel but rather they assume u already know judgin by the time theyve spent together. However some do ask "would u go out with me" but thats it.
i confess to a girl called haruka i tell her my feelings in front of many ppl she rejected me becuz im cuter than her T^T and more like a gurl but still im proud to be a trapuu :>
