I believe the hilt is from Space Junk Sabers. However he did a lot of work on that one himself a while back. It’s a really interesting series you should check out.
Do all neopixel cores come with that spring connector and would I have to buy a blade from them or can I make my own blade to work with the neopixel core?
Try a new blade, if that still doesn’t light up then there’s something wrong in the hilt. Could be a broken or disconnected wire, the positive, negative, or data
Yes! There are a couple different connection methods, but the spring pin system is the most popular. You can use pretty much any kind of connection system, I’d say if you’re interested, you should go check out the CFX manual. It has a whole section on connection systems
For neopixel blades you want there to be 2 pixel strips back to back going along the length of the blade. Some strips are made specifically for lightsaber blades though, and the strip is built already having pixels on both sides
@@averycastillo okay thanks I needed to know that for the conversion of my Disney saber and the strip im getting has the brighter leds and can be cut and since that is the case can I add more wires the combination of the pixel LEDs lining the blade
The soundboard can detect the clash itself, and also the angle of the blade. So the white spot can change on the blade based on what angle it’s at. Not specifically where you hit it unfortunately
It’d take a bit of work, and would also depend on what type of neopixel strip is used. If it’s an $80 blade though it’ll be the cheaper strips which would be able to be cut shorter… depending on how the two strips are stuck to each other and if you can unstick them. You would take a knife and work on separating the npxl connector holder from the bottom of the blade, once that’s done you can pull the strip out. Then take a look at the strip to see if it’s the kind you can cut without breaking the whole thing, and work on cutting the strips to the length you want. Use a tube cutter or saw to cut the blade tube to the length you want, and cut the diffusion inside to fit the shorter tube. Then push the strip back in and re glue the connector to the bottom of the blade
These blades could be used for dueling, but personally i’d build a dueling blade with a thicker tube. This is meant to show off more light and be brighter, but for dueling you’d want to make the tube thicker which sacrifices some of that. Ultimately you also want a hilt with a deep blade depth to go along with whatever blade. But no matter what, all blades are liable to break when dueling
It’s all from your soundboard. If your soundboard has that capability, it works by detecting an impact and a button press/hold while the soundboard is facing at a downwards angle. So basically, if the soundboard is facing the right direction, and you do the appropriate clash/button actions, it does the drag animation. Which is just lighting up a few pixels at the tip
