Dont know if i missed it but whats your recommendation for guests/cleaners eg airbnb and you want a back up key storage? Where to stores the keys then

I'd store them in another lockbox in a different area like on the fence or garage door.

I literally had an agent who showed the house and then just left the key in my front door. Not inside the house, but in the door. They had NO idea when I would be back to the house, and while granted it was a very safe neighborhood, that was a bizarre oversight or inconsideration.

How do you verify they're real buyers before giving the lockbox code? Do you ask for photo ID?

Usually the agent is setting up the showing through our online showing service and those instructions are emailed to them. I never give out the code unless it's to a real estate agent.

Usually the agent picks up the lockbox after the closing day.

In Texas it's the Supra eKey app. Not sure what it's called in other states.

Most of these lock boxes got videos all over the RU-vid shows how you open them easily less than a minute especially the first popular one the Master lock, none of them is good to keep your expensive asset, or keep the house secured
