👍Very helpful. I do wonder though, if a person doesn’t / I don’t have money to pay the IRS, how will they / I have money to pay someone (like you all) to help. 😫😢😭
I spoke with an attorney overviewing my taxes and he said that I could get into hardship but i had no chance of success with an OIC due being young 25 years old. He says the IRS wont accept because I have many years to pay it back and they are going off of foreseeable income. Thoughts?
My problem is...I have not ever filed taxes and owed anything. I always gave extra. My tax problem began once I had accident at job I worked in 2017. If there was a true problem before that with the irs ...they would have contacted me way before 2017. I left job in 2018 but had a 401(k) . Here begins my crap. I do not understand. If I'm screwing up beforehand why wait to make the correction known once I leave company?? Not understandable.
How does this happen...if I not ever recieved any 1099s for the previous years...please a specialist in taxes please tell me n show me how to correct my bs. I dont have funds like that to pay you but perhaps I can make a great meal for you ...clean your house ..I truly dont understand. If they want the mo ey back fine...its only money. No one takes it to the grave with them.
do you have to first file each year's return that you have not filed before you can apply for this offer and compromise? Basically I have a penalty one year for not filing a W-2 from one of my employers there for giving me a lot more EITC then I would have otherwise gotten. So I owed that back amount along with not filing for several years afterwards due to owing that money.
