@@KolaTheBear I know that’s what I never got. But Mark definitely didn’t like it. Tom never meant to hurt his feelings, but at the same time, I guarantee Mark would’ve been fine making that darker-tone of BCR. I think he would’ve loved to be an actual part of it. But then again, we all don’t know the whole story.

Tom was literally Mark's best friend at the time and I am sure it hurt to have 2 of your best friends exclude you in a solo project...like they were testing the waters or something. Mark would've definitely loved to do a darker sounding project simply because he has done it with Blink and with his own project +44.

Yeah man, this and that solo deal the label offered to tom I believe he talked about it on the whisper documentary and on top of that I don’t know when exactly does +44 fits in all of this, I guess there was this idea in the air that they didn’t want to be together on blink anymore and never really communicated how they really felt

It's not ownership. All three members had the right to choose and venture out to other projects. Without it I doubt Tom would have stayed in Blink much longer anyway. Listening to all of his interviews he really had a creative itch that couldn't get scratched in Blink. And it made him a much better musician when he came back to Blink.

If you're not a fully formed adult, maybe. But when you're older you realize that it's important for artists to experiment and have a different outlet for their musical creativity process and sometimes having a band is a crutch for exploring what you can come up with creatively on your own. Kid mentality is where jealousy and emotions like that comes from. As an adult, you understand the process more

Well said and all true. I’m glad it all happened because we got 3 extra bands, all making good and different music. And now they’re back together anyway

Not at all. Travis was already collaborating and working with other artists, like with the Transplants. Mark should've trusted his friends instead of being so quick to doubt them, especially when they never betrayed him prior. I think some of it might even have deep-seated issues related to his parents' divorce. Honestly, I think Mark and Tom's relationship was unhealthy on some level; they were waaay too attached to each other. Tom shouldn't be blamed for wanting to start something else with Travis; he was still with Blink. Mark honestly got too paranoid and it ended up hurting them in the end; you can't function in a distrustful relationship like that, friendships included.

@@punkgrl325 Everything you just said is so on point, and backed up with how shitty Mark got that Tom was working on other projects that weren't blink, when Mark wanted to do blink, so they basically kicked him out and brought Matt. I'm genuinely of the opinion that he didn't quit the second time round, and Mark was salty about him not prioritising blink the way Mark wanted him.

​@@ohalistair Mark and Travis were both annoyed that Tom didn't want to do Blink stuff, they said as much in an interview back in 2015 that they wanted to record but Tom had other priorities. Either way the beef is squashed now and it doesn't really matter.

Mark was never in BCR.

I think-shocker-Tom is lying about it. Mark was in fact NOT super cool with it, so Tom threw him a bone, and featured him on Elevator

@@laurastephanie4968 lol ok i was basically kidding as well unless you really were a subredditer... the past 2 days ive been at war trying to explain my self... i figured if you got that youd understand i wasnt being 100% serious..there are so many issues with the subreddit, i just got back into it and within 24 hours i was negative karma on a new account because i said enema was the worst album in my opinion... i included facts not all music related but man they are a bunch of shit balls.

And just to tac something on. Tom has stated that he was feeling insecure up to doing BCR, because In blink he was only having about 6 or 7 songs he’d written being released roughly every 2 years. On “take off your pants and jacket”After Enemas huge success and clean sound Tom wanted to direct blink away from the poppy side of punk and bring punk back to the rock. But mark became quite rigid and dug he’s heels in with wanting to essentially make an enema pt 2, so for the first time since Mark and Tom met they both had different, and also opposite ideas for how the sound of their follow up to Enema should sound. They had to compromise a lot with each other, more than they would lead us to believe. But I think Mark pretty clearly won out on that one, probably frustrating Tom more so he probably just thought fuck it I’ll make my own album how I wanted blinks new album “TOYPAJ” sound like. And also for his self esteem that on his own he is capable of making an album as good as a blink album with only his songs

At the time Blink was writing songs about fucking dogs in the ass, falling in love with girls at a concert, and watching chicks shower from outside their window. A lot different than BCR
