A Monday with Matt Rhule revealed that the Nebraska football coach continues to work to get the Huskers to enjoy the battle of competition instead of playing tight when the games get tight. It's been a longtime fight for this program.

Nebraska had one good game against the Colorado buffaloes and they were so over hyped about having the best defense in the college football game... but Illinois brought them back down to earth fast.

Mindset is just a small part of the psychological challenge. It’s the embodiment of losing and fear of losing that’s the problem. Mindset follows embodiment, and if your nervous system is in a state of threat, the thinking, decision making, motivations, lose capacity. Significantly. Protocols like Self Concept CAN simulate those experiences. Embodiment coaching can simulate it. It’s meta-psychology work, and it works, as it keys on memory reconsolidation. Nerdy stuff on my end, but there is a way. I guarantee Dylan (and others) had a totally different embodiment than other guys. His emotional memory is very different. The subconscious ‘forces’ at play here are making playing a significant issue.

No other team in the country has had these issues for this many years. Im all for giving Rhule the time, but if this continues for another few years, they need to consider dropping to G5 or FCS. Its become a national embarrassment at this point🤣

We are fairly average in the OL and DL. We are "old" in those areas, just not that talented. We lost to a middle tier B1G team. We have another 6-7 games we can be competitive and win, but the lines and special teams will contribute to our concerns, as well as our mind issues. 6-6 or 7-5 are looking very realistic for a baseline and 8-4 are still possible and realistic.

I don’t think it was the players fault that they lost. Effort was okay, though tackling was awful! And, special teams stunk! (I feel justified calling out players now that they are paid professionals.). The coaches need to make the appropriate adjustments to put them in position to win. They should have kept the drive going on the last offensive series of regulation. Two bad calls killed momentum and sealed the fate of the game. Coaches need to be prepared for that situation and call better plays. I love Rhule, but he’s got to do better with situational football.

I still dont think the talent is there yet. I also think Illinois OC just out schemed Tony White. Also if we are going to run a Pro-style offense you have to be able to run the ball. Rhule should of let the frost era guys move on on the O-line.

I'm really sick of people not realizing Nebraska is in every game. We have Always just make 1 play. Nejor fights for the ball harder, it's a TD. We make a chip shot, we win. The freshman misses a wide open man, or we win. Now reactors and some low football IQ fans start acting like everything great about this team is now somehow vanished. Maybe this loss brings us back down to earth a bit. Rhule has always needed 3 years to make full impact. So what's the problem people.? Well my problem is maybe all the content creators got humbled and embarrassed, so you start playing chicken little, everything suddenly sux, no creators, hell no! I wish all of you would stop talking this way. You all are a resource for recruits trying to make a decision on playing at Nebraska or going somewhere else. I understand you have a job to do. And we do need to discuss our short comings. But every team in America can only improve these areas in the locker room and on the practice field. Absolutely Zero is accomplished by creators. Except for setting a mood that affects the fan base. Then they buy into the BS. Because 1 week ago, some idiot creators were talking making it to the play offs, ergo making the fans all excited, building them up, and thier expectations up too much. Now isn't the time to panic. I will however compliment you two though. Yours isn't the cry baby butt hurt style. But let's highlight the great, with the not so great. Besides, number 15, is just getting started.

After the Colorado win I had us finishing 9-3, now i am predicting 6-6. Defense looks inexplicably bad and the psychological issues with close games are still present. Add in the special teams issues and i dont like our odds in many of these remaining games.

@@troyveik5049 changing with new information you mean, team looked solid for UTEP and Colorado, there was reason for concern against UNI but I figured it was one bad game. Then the Illinois disaster happens and the concerns are confirmed to be very real.

@@troyveik5049 play calling has been solid, most of the offenses struggles are because of lack of "want to" by the recievers. A lot of very poor efforts in blocking, route running, and contested catches. The defense looked great against UTEP and Colorado, then suddenly looks inept against UNI and Illinois, they are now getting beat in every possible way, there is not one part of the defense that looked like a strength against Illinois. No pass rush, poor coverage, unable to stop the run. Thats all new, we didn't see anything like that before. If that doesn't change we aren't beating anyone outside of Purdue and UCLA and maybe Wisconsin.
