Very interesting decklist! Makes sense to have all that grave disruption in a tearlaments format. I just wonder if running Whirlwind on a deck that wants to go first is really worth it? I have tried it and it can be great when you end up not being first, but it bricks on the hand sometimes when going first and Dragunity feels like one of those archetypes that relies a lot on consistency. Also, why not run Abyss Dweller instead of Tapir? I can see the appeal of Tapir but Dweller hard shuts down basically anything Tearlaments tries to do
Good questions good questions, and I have answers! First, so with Dragunity as you know we have the luxury of discarding cards to set up. So, whirlwind ‘could’ be fodder to set my board up. Alternatively, if I draw horribly (example: 4 hand traps and whirlwind) then I can set whirlwind to use on there turn to nuke the field with black rose dragon or save for my turn. But you can also run small world as an alternative and have equal results in theory. Next, I had Dweller at first. But, it’s a temporary stop gap that they can run over (1700 atk isn’t high) and then play during my turn and win. At least with Tapir, I can stall for 3 turns and get what I need. Tapir also works against other decks I might see like branded, Spright, chaos etc. Also, I have ton of graveyard hate and hand traps to help deal with them on top of tapir hard beating them for a few turns.
@@Draeguy Yeah fair, both answers make sense! That's certainly an interesting decklist. To me it seems like it's about the best we have to compete with Tear until the Bystials are out. I'll definitely be looking forward to see how you're gonna build a deck with them once they come! Unrelated question: do you play TCG at all or just master duel? Any chance we might see a TCG list sometime? Personally I play a lot of TCG and as far as master duel goes I'm mostly just occasionally farming and saving my crafting points until Bystials are out so I can get whatever cards I need then
I started back playing tcg not too long ago. And I do have a few Dragunity tcg builds that are amazing since the forbidden list isn’t as harsh in real life. Haha I can invest in a setup to show tcg deck list in the near future for sure
@@Draeguy Sweet! Can't wait to see it! Truth be told while I can see why the Bystial package is strong I'm not really quite sure how to use them optimally with Dragunity, I haven't messed around with it much. I've seen many different opinions from different people on how many / which ones to run, how to use them in conjunction with your combo etc. and I'm not really sure what to make of it haha
Can't you do something with the quality of the video. It feels laggy not enjoyable to watch for longer time. I find your deck pretty interesting but can't enjoy it due to the quality of the video. Sorry for the long comment
All good, appreciate the support! I’ve tried a few things, and it looks like I’ll have to buy a new setup. Unfortunately I use a MacBook (Steam doesn’t work on Mac), and I’ll have to wait a bit before I invest in another setup to record with. Again, I apologize for the lag.
