How does the cue (white) ball return to me in the pool table game?!! -Solution 1- 

One way to do it is like this with a magnet and the cue ball has metal in it's core. Some don't like the way the metal balls transfer energy though. Seriously players hate these and sometimes refer to them as "mud balls" The other way is by making the cue ball slightly smaller and the ball rails inside the table route all the balls though a restrictor plate that only the cue ball is small enough to pass through which leads back to the designated cue ball return area. Serious players hate these because the smaller changes their read on shots and affects how you play.

The que ball is slightly smaller than the other balls so the que ball rolls down with a regular ball. The que ball drop hole to the return is slightly smaller so it drops while the regular ball rolls over the que ball drop and rolls down to its return spot. I cut que balls in half and never once found a magnet inside one to guide it to the return spot. Now I'm not saying that they don't put magnets in some brands but doesn't make sense since it can unbalance the ball while playing.
