I also own this wall oven. Self clean mode is a no-go for me. It ruined another oven I owned by breaking the oven controls. Appliance repairmen told me to never use self cleaning because it’s too high of a temperature for the oven controls. I just use the oven cleaning spray, wait and wipe clean. I’m a home baker and many of my baking buddies also will not use the self cleaning function.

I am also wary of self-clean for GE at least. I think we set my dad's GE gas oven to 500 to pre-sear a rib roast for 30 minutes before roasting the rest of the way at a lower temperature. Burned out the preheat ignition or something. Cooked the roast but didn't heat up again. The oven required a service visit and part replacement less than a year ago and has died again to the same issue. Hence searching for a new oven. I think self-clean may even go over 500 so I don't go above 475 in mine now. Thanks for testing steam clean! I think we're left with the no fume Easy Off for stubborn stains.

Hi Barbara! I am so happy it helped! No, i haven’t done a video on reheating yet, but I have reheated things by using air fry. I use a low temp setting like 315 for 10 mins

Hi Lisa! You're welcome and I'm happy to help! Becuase the air fryer jumps on quickly and doesn't require pre-heating the oven, I use that air fry mode to reheat food all the time now!
