This pharmacology lecture covers topics such as Anticoagulant drugs. We talk about Warfarin and how it is a Vitamin K dependent antagonist. We discuss how Warfarin blocks the clotting factors 2,7,9 & 10 which leads to less fibrin being formed. This causes the lowering of blood clots. Also, we talk about the pathophysiology of the clotting cascade, heart attack and stroke and how anti-coagulation therapy is beneficial. We discuss the mechanism of action of Warfarin and its side effects. Drugs mentioned include; Warfarin, Jantoven and Coumadin.

I have seen all your videos and they are all extraordinary, concise, must know info and nothing to throw out. I would hope and wait if you would cover antibiotic and anti-psychotic drug classes.

Thank you for the support Sunrunner Nge! The course is being developed now. The issue I have with RU-vid is there's no way to put things in order while making it modular (cardio section, pulmonary module, cancer etc with more quiz questions that you can actually select). There's a lot of time and thought going to each section to make it a powerful tool to get the best foundation for medical knowledge possible. With that being said it's going to take a while. But I am working as fast as possible!
