As a test driver, I've driven cars with all types of transmisson. Manuel shifting is always my favourite. I had both M/T and A/T cars, the A/T never gave the driving pleasure as M/T did. I love to be on control on everything when driving. Even the Tiptronic doesn't feel the same, given there's no clutch pedal. Some say A/T brings comfort, I say A/T takes away the pure driving pleasure.
I was thinking the same for years. But now, i only prefer M/T with a really good car which can give me a real driving pleasure. Otherwise A/T is much more effortless and comfortable for city drivings imo
@@lydiaanderson5859 Not good. I drink to much beer, and act crazy, talk-in trash to some strangers down my street. I'm ok, Navy veteran, just have some issues with drinking to much beer.
There was MAN SR240 coach bus in 80s with manuel 12 speed transmission (sold in Turkey as Superman). I remember its selector button. But its use was different than this, shift 1st gear, then push the button without moving the lever - that's 2nd. Move lever to 2nd position and push the button at the same time - that's 3rd, without moving the lever push the button - that's 4th... Goes on like that.
Im not a trucker (yet), so i could be wrong on this, but im guessing its one of two things (maybe both?); 1) Low is for reversing on flat-surface or downhill, while Hi is for reversing uphill, & 2) Low is for an empty-trailer or trailerless-truck, & hi is for a fully-loaded-trailer But like i said, im not a trucker, so im kinda taking a shot in the dark
You really do not need high reverse if you do it better be a open area becues it will launch you 20 mph in reverse without touching the gas it is fun tho
