Do you know how drop shipping can help your art business? I do. It will free you up to create art. We all need more time. Drop shipping services do all the work for us. They print the work on-demand and then ship it off to our customer. No inventory to store, who has the space.
In addition they will add our art to many products giving up full control or how the product looks. Printful has a wide selection to choose from and it's easy to set up.

I’m loving your content! So glad I found you! I’m just embarking on the journey to sell some of my work, so the timing is perfect for this commerce-related info. Thank you!❤ BTW, we’re probably about the same age, and I’m starting over in many ways, as well, including selling my home here in SoCal and moving back to my hometown later this year. I’m in great spirits and looking forward to enjoying a more fulfilling quality of life on many levels in 2023. Here’s to moving forward to a new chapter!🎉

This was so helpful! I'm planning to take the leap and start selling prints in the near future and had no idea where to start. This video answered a LOT of questions I had, and some that I didn't know I had, but definitely would have come up! So thank you for this video!!

I have my large paintings professionally photographed. I tried doing it myself and the photos looked good enough for social media buy not good enough for prints.

PS: thanks for your content quite timely for me as I began developing a woo commerce website to sell my art. Self taught artist I use trial and error as my method…. More error and torn paper last night less success ! I Shall watch some of your videos for tips to see where I’m going wrong. I used thick /quality hemp paper last night as I’d love to have some success to sell the originals on fine art paper. But artists seem to use copy paper with this process a lot. Not sure what they do with all those pretty prints???.

Collage, Collage, Collage. Yes. Copy paper is my favorite.

This is very helpful! I'm in the research stage of how to sell my landscape art online. I usually paint 8 x 10 on canvas board because I personally like a framed 11x 14 with a mat. Is this too small to photograph well?
@SusanCliftonArtist
@SusanCliftonArtist Год назад
You should be able to scan it and get a great image for reproduction. My art is too big to scan so I have it professionally photographed.

Hi There.......GREAT info for those of us who are nervously considering trying drop-shipping for our art!!! May I ask you what file type you save your artwork in in order to send it to Printful?

I have my work professionally photographed and then use a jpg to order the prints. I use the templates they provide so I make sure it's done correctly. I use a transparent png on the t-shirts only. I hope that helps.

May I ask what type or quality paper you use when creating Gelli print as an original fine art piece for sale ? I see many people creating gelli prints on copy paper.

I also use rice paper. This one works well with the plate. amzn.to/3mgru8L

Thank you for this very helpful video. I'm thinking about selling art prints for the first time and have been looking for a quality drop shipper. Now that you've had a few months with Luma Prints, do you still like them? I am also looking for a good wholesale greeting card printer. Have you printed cards with Printful? Any thoughts? Thanks so much! Love your art, BTW! Only a few videos in so far, but looking forward to watching more!😍
@SusanCliftonArtist

I like Luma Prints because they have a large variety of sizes. Printful is limited on sizes. But they connect to WooCommerce shopping cart and Luma Prints do not. So for now I'm staying with Printful and only use Luma prints for Metal prints. I have not ordered the greeting cards. If I was going to do that I would probably want to sell sets and they don't do that. You can always print cards yourself on a good inkjet printer using red river papers. Thanks for watching.

I wondering how we are sure of the quality print for every print if we don't see the final product? I'm scard of having an issues with a costumer, then, i guess we ask to the drop shipping compagny to send another? Sorry for my english

I usually buy a sample. They give you a discount. I don't buy every single one. But If one canvas is good I assume the others will be as well. I've never received a product from them that I was unhappy with. And so far no one has been unhappy with their purchase.

Hi again ! I’m sure I’m asking too many questions 😂 , no problem if you don’t have the time. Do you photograph your own artwork ?, in no way do I want to attempt photographing my paintings. I’d stress too much. I’ve been planning on having a local photo shop do it for me, and it’s not cheap. Will cost in the 100’s. The worst part though is leaving my original paintings with this place overnight. That’s how they do it. Just the very idea brings out a lot of paranoia. 😂. But I can’t see any other way of getting it photographed. I’m older now, with some rather good finished art I’ve never really never marketed, but people really liked it. One person wanted to buy the originals. Anyway ! I wonder how most people get their work photographed, especially in order to upload to places like Printful.

I have my artwork professionally photographed. The large paints over 30x40 inches usually cost About $65. The smaller ones are $25. I go to a place that offers canvas prints. So they know how to photograph for prints. Photographers will sometimes charge by the hour and want you to bring in a bunch at a time. I don't like that. Try calling around to place that do giclee printing.

@@SusanCliftonArtist Thank you very much. I will look into that. So far I’d assumed I’d just use a camera / photo shop near a university here, that takes photos of some of the art students art works. But yeah, a bit expensive and I hated the idea of leaving my paintings overnight.
@angelwings7930
@angelwings7930 7 месяцев назад
@@SusanCliftonArtist Does the one you use want you to leave your art with them overnight ? Just curious. If it’s a national chain please tell me the name ? Thanks again.
@SusanCliftonArtist
@SusanCliftonArtist 7 месяцев назад
@@angelwings7930 Yes, I have to leave it with them for about a week. It's not a chain. They have a local family business and work with a lot of artists in the area. If I were you I would call a giclee company in your area and get their advice on who to work with.

@@SusanCliftonArtist OK, thanks again so very much. It’s very nice you to take the time to reply. I’m looking forward to getting my art photographed and images stored on whatever device thing they put them on, (I’m not even low tech😂), to upload to places like Printful, that’s such a great video from you. Looking forward to having quality images to send to online art magazine competitions too, have been wanting to do that for ages. Merry Christmas 🎄 !
