Ha, ha, ''one of the best finals performers".This what I called revisionist history, nba was always rigging games but those finals against mavs were totally rigged. It was so obvious that the same heat team year after lost to the average bulls team, and after that they traded o'neal.
@@ForceFTVLebron doesn’t win any of the titles he got with Cleveland or LA without AD or Kyrie. Let’s not pretend as if he would have won without them either. In fact, if LeBron James never decided to become a ring chaser, there’s a chance he has no rings or just 1-2 and the media has 0 reasons to push him as the Goat the way they do. Ring culture has completely destroyed the NBA, if guys had never stooped to collusion and teamups then it would be way easier to see who the real Goats are.
I think DWade deserves far more criticism for what he did to his son. Because due to injuries by 2011 and 2012 his body was falling apart as he lost his lift and became a defensive liability with Lebron. So he made the correct choice to hand the reigns of the team over to Lebron. At the end he had very little to give to basketball which was why LeScumBag took his talents back to Cleveland. In short, DWade did something Lebron would never do- admit his short-comings publicly and take a second chair to win a chip whereas Lebron, who should be riding the bench instead is still reconstructing his coaching staff and roster to support him as a star.
So a players personal life dictates his whole career? if that’s the case Kobe did far worse(grape), J Kidd and whole bunch of NBA greats: have you seen Magic Johnson son? Shall we go on? Y’all you just totally political cultish.
This is not going to be popular in the comments. And I'm here for it. 🍿 Dwade was one of my favorite players when he entered the league. He was crazy at Marquette.
I agree, when he came in the league I loved Dwade. Hell, I can't think of anyone who didn't like him during his early years in the league. It wasn't until later that the problems emerged and now you have the stuff with his son and his reputation is so far underwater that James Cameron is trying to find it.
@@skap_attack Because of D-Wade and Lebronze who started it, we had over 10 insufferable years of the superteam era, with mildly successful and (thankfully) shitshows of Superteams. Thank god Lebronze and KD finally fell into irrelevance and we had interesting playoff in the last 3 seasons.

I can’t believe how Dwyane Wade let himself get destroyed with terrible NBA decisions on and off to court his own undoing. He started off so well and then got caught up.
If Wade is widely accepted as the 3rd best 2 guard of all time based off ring count, how did he ruin his career? Everybody knows that 06 finals was rigged and he had a superteam with the other 2 yet he's still ranked above guys like Iverson, West and Maravich. Sounds like he made it out pretty good
That was such a fun era of NBA in the mid-late 2000s. I was in high school at that time and I rooted for all those guys from the 2003 draft. It really can't be overstated how much that Miami superteam ruined a good vibe from the NBA and turned it from being a dogfight year-after-year to a lame movie production where all the superheroes team up instead of battling each other.
No one could make me hate DWade as a heat fan. Magical first ring validating him as a player. DWade was the only finals tested and proven player on the big three squad when they formed, earning his ring with no asterisks. Let’s not excuse their lack of competitiveness and drive. There was a time when people and the media doubted Jordan could win while scoring the way he did. Kobe faced tough times after Shaq left, and it didn’t seem like he’d get another ring. But neither called up two other top 10 players to team up for an easy championship. Kobe didn't recruit those guys. Didn't even want Dwight. Nash was 40, Dwight had a bad back, and Jim Buss stupidly hired Mike Dantoni who tried to run and gun with 2 7 footers. Kobe finally said Fit and took over the season to get them into the playoffs. Thats how he tore his achilles.

As a Mavs' fan, watching any highlights of the 2006 Finals gives me PTSD. DWade ripped the hearts and souls out of any and all Mavs' fans that year. In 2011, I was terrified that DWade would take over down the stretch during that NBA Finals. Not once did I think Lebron would take over. Not once did he. By the way, NO, that 2006 series wasn't fixed. My Mavs took their two hands off of the trophy to taste the champagne that they had yet to earn
He is making more now than he did in the NBA. He did everything he wanted to and he’s a champion. At the end of the day he supports his family and loves them so kudos to him.
MJ and Bulls fans showed appreciation toward Pippen for his contributions in winning those rings. LeBron and his fanbase will downplay the significance of Wade, Kyrie, and AD as majors reasons for LeBron winning the titles, that he did.
Pippen is a lot better than ppl give him credit for. Definitely the best all around defender out of these guys. Always guarded the toughest player on the other team while MJ was getting all the steals from the role players. He was a great passer and could shoot off the catch well and was dunking on top centers. On top of that MJs teams were stacked with good role players even more than Curry teams and Bron is predictable with his offense so it's a hard fit. I'd say MJ is better than Bron but I'd also take Pippen over Wade and Kyrie. I'd want a bigger player to be my #1 option and Pippen can simply guard more players than Wade and Kyrie. Most franchises and players prefer to win it that way. They and we as fans respect the grind instead of cheap rings. Now it’s misconstrued about who super teams are or aren’t. We talk about Lebron passing Kobe, when did he pass wade? Wade's a better shooter, has a quicker first step, better defender, and shown he can be the go to guy in a franchise when down.
The thing that really ruined DWades career is that knee surgery he got in college in 2002. That surgery basically cut his prime and his peak really short. That 2006 finals run was lightning in a bottle because Wade's surgically repaired knee was degrading so fast. Its why he couldnt get back to the finals before 2010. His elite first step was already slowing down. And why lebron cut and ran in 2014. Lebron knew Wades knee was fucked, and probably knew Bosh had the blood clots, too. It's fucking gross to think about, honestly But yeah, even if the decision in 2010 and that superteam up had never happened i think it's unlikely wade wouldve ever won another ring. He just declined too fast, sadly.
Hey Skap. Do you think Gil will change tune after the recent debate? Or do you think he is just ‘rusted on’ to his stance on Lebron over Kobe? Is vanity going to play a part here in so far as saving face on his part? Interested to hear your thoughts.
I think Arenas will continue touting the Klutch Sports company line here. Honestly I don't even think he believes what he is saying. In his heart, I believe he feels Jordan is the GOAT and Kobe is two. BUT whenever he is on anywhere else, he is going to keep pushing that LeBron GOAT narrative to drive his clicks.
If DWade never teamed up with LBJ, we'd be ranking him above the Princess the same way folks seem to be rating KB over LeFlop, whether it's true or not. He really did ruin his legacy. Don't get me started on Bosh, whoever that is.
Johnson is a little overrated because of the tremendous help he had from the get go. He had arguably the second best player of all time (Kareem) and another first ballot HOF (James Worthy). People sometimes say Kobe shouldn’t be high on a top 10 ten list because he had Shaq, but Magic had a better Shaq and then some… Stockton was the best pure PG of all time, and an elite defender. People said he had Malone, sure, but Malone was a turnover machine and always the weakness in clutch time for Utah. Give Kareem and Worthy to Stockton and he would very likely have 4 or 5 rings. I would say that Isaiah Thomas had the highest peak as a PG. He would do insane things but his career got cut short…
This is the finals MVP all NBA player LeBrick ran to? @Skap remember summer 2010 people were clear the Michael Jordan discussion was over with regarding LeBrick. Funny how the media downplays Wade Bosh and all LeBrick all-star help an elevated him above NBA history with a losing finals record.
Wade went from the best player in the league to willingly becoming second fiddle to the fraud King. He did not bet on himself and lost because of LeBron's failures.
Kobe ruined his own legacy by choking in 04, 06, 08... kobe choked with a super team too 😂 being the closest to something doesnt mean youre close. Mercury is closest to the sun... the sun is still millions of miles away
This is a trash take. First of all, Kobe is nowhere near Jordan. Let's stop that myth. Second of all, the Celtics had a super team of Pierce, Garnett, Allen and Rondo and were dominating the east. LeBron and Bosh joined Wade to compete against them. Comparing what Surant did would make sense if LeBron joined the Celtics.
Wade didn’t need Lebron. Imagine if he won just 1 more championship on his own. He’d probably be considered just as good as lebron if he completed against him instead of teaming up with him.

What's your take on Wilt going to the Lakers and playing with West and Baylor, then Goodrich. I witnessed that "super team" against the legendary Knicks, many times and never thought West or Wilt cheated the game. Those same Knicks incorporated Earl Monroe into a team already with 5 Hall of Famers. Their titles were never diminished. Somehow those teams were more organic. But they were "super-teams"
Not Wade's fault the 2006 Mavs couldn't defend his slashing. Everyone who goes back and looks at those fouls concludes most of them are legit. Mavs choked.
He was kind of a quicker, more athletic, smaller, dumber, and less skilled kobe. That's actually a compliment lol. He was better than lebron in the 2011 team and lebron only ever got slightly better than wade from then on. Certainly, Wade had a ton of gravity so that lebron wasn't the center attention to choke it all away.
No one’s legacy is tarnished playing with LeBron, I swear you say the most horrible takes. By this horrible logic, if being a second fiddle tarnishes his legacy then Kobe legacy should be tarnished for playing with Shaq😂. D Wade’s after that season was putting hood numbers but was getting bounced out in the 1st round every year, everytime getting worse and worse. If anything it helps D Wade’s Solidified his spot as a top 3 SG 2 extra rings.
Wade saved his career with the LeBron move. First championship might have been the worst officiated series of all-time and had signified a change in officiating leading to growth of foul baiting cancers like Harden and Embiid (Think I'm joking? Watch the bloodbath defense of 05 Finals and even the 04 Finals). The Miami was trash for years after that finals looking similar to the Kwame-Smush Lakers being carried by Kobe. After the Cheatles formed, only in the first year (2011) Wade was able to the first option on a championship team and Wade's stature definitely benefited from Bron his heart snatched. The rest of the Cheatles run, he was only capable of being a number 2 option(a high end one, but offset being injury prone), but luckily he taught Bron to flop and they won 2 rings. So Wade essentially turned one questionable ring, into a career with 2 more championships with 4 more finals appearances with LeBron coming to HIS house. He likely would have ended up with no more finals appearances without that move unless he won in 2011 with some hypothetical Wade/Bosh/and other players that aren't LeBron Miami heat team. So Wade benefited the most from LeBron move even more than LeBron did because he accrued championships and the stain of Dirk breaking their Miami Heat's soul was permanently branded on Lebron (deservedly so) and not him
Miami wasn't trash for years after the chip. Shaq was not only older, but he and Wade missed a combine SEVENTY ONE games in 2007 alone and they still made the playoffs. Injuries & retooling caused them to miss the playoffs in '08, which was the only season they were actually trash. The Heat made playoffs in 3 of the 4 years after winning the chip and won at least 43 games. They were a mediocre team, not trash. Even if you believe the 2006 Finals was poorly officiated, Wade was still phenomenal throughout that entire postseason run.
@@atlien1988 The 07 Heat? The team got SWEPT by a 5 Seed led by Luol Deng and Ben Wallace? I didn't think it had to be said (especially in context of this conversation about supporting cast), but if a team is mediocre with a Top 5 Player on it (Especially one with the Defending Finals MVP in his athletic prime) the supporting cast/(I was using the word team colloquially) is TRASH. Kobe was able to win 45 Games, get to game 7 against a team that went to WCF with Smush Parker and Kwame Brown starting and anyone with eyes can see that team/supporting cast was trash and you'd be a fool argue otherwise. The team is mediocre with Kobe/Wade's greatness elevating them and TRASH without them so don't play the silly semantics game. Miami had 4 years post-championship to get Wade at the peak of his powers a "team"/supporting cast in the one of the weakest Eastern conferences that could get more than 47 Wins and out of the first round and failed. That failure is one of the reasons (along with Bron' cowardice) the cHeatles assembled.
Respectively disagree. Wade's career was fine with one ring, similar to Rick Barry, and if he had joined up with just Bosh and some other solid role players/quasi all star players, he would have had a good shot to EARN some more titles. Joining Lebron, his only other real competition in the Eastern conference star power wise, was weak as crap and about as bad as Durant joining the team that bounced him from the playoffs the year before while winning 72 games. At that point, what do they titles mean??? Legacy wise, I have to take Barry over Wade. Wade effectively ruined his name when it comes to the greatest of all time at his position. He forever has an asterisk next to his name, like Lebron and Durant.
D Wade was the reason I became a Heat fan in the first place, back in no later than 2007 (I don't quite remember if I was a fan before the 06 championship). But for me, I cannot look past what he's done off the court, namely with his son. In the summer of 2012, after they won their championship against the Thunder, he went to a bookstore in NYC to do signings for his new book he had coming out, which was called "A Father First," and I got an autograph. And then you're gonna turn around and do that to your kid? That's not what I call being a good father.. Those kinds of actions off the court has forever tarnished my opinion of him and his legacy in my opinion
What? Wade outplayed Lebron in 2011 playoffs. Wade basically had to tell Lebron to nut up so they could win, and he couldn't, so they lucked out with Ray Allen coming on board.
He decided to have a ligament or meniscus removed from his leg before his rookie season, and while his stretch from 2004-11 was great, he then became injury prone and his production slipped from superstar to just star from 2011-16, and then he slipped even further to high volume, inefficient role player for 3 more years until he retired. His biggest issue was his inability to develop a jumper until he was about 6 years out of his prime
I respect Wade. He's from Chicago. Grew up in Robbins. His playing style was like most of the Chicago guys. Acrobatic layups crashing to the floor. DRose the same. But those 2 guys had mad hops. His off court personal stuff had my respect for a while but the LeBron spectacle was definitely LeBron's idea. Wade bought a Dodge Magnum with steeliies. Yeah, somebody told him to get 22 inch rims. So yeah, LeBron put Wade and Bosh up to that not 1 not 2 not 5 shit. I don't care that they colluded. The rules let those guys team up. It was classless to glorify the team up when not one ring was won. In fact, NOBODY HAD EVER DONE IT UNTIL 2011. And while Wade put up 26ppg, Bosh put up 18 and sacrificed his game because he couldn't operate in the post because of spacing. LeBron laid an egg and the media has tried to downplay that for years. When the titles were won, LeBron did it by himself. Same with Cleveland and LA. But Wade has come out to say, and many of LeBron's former teammates to say MJ is the GOAT.
