The restriction on foreign players in top clubs created a spillover effect, distributing talent more evenly across leagues and enhancing competition.This more equitable distribution of talent led to a more competitive league environment. It was harder for clubs like Real Madrid or Barcelona to dominate every season when other teams also had access to top-tier players. The presence of superstars in smaller clubs provided them with the "weapons" necessary to challenge the giants, leading to more unpredictable and exciting competitions. If mid-sized or smaller clubs could attract high-caliber international players, it would undoubtedly boost fan excitement, increase attendance, and elevate the club's profile. This, in turn, would attract more sponsorship deals, higher media coverage, and additional revenue streams. The appeal of watching talents like Roberto Sosa and Marcio Amoroso at Udinese or Dario Silva and Dely Valdes at Málaga illustrates how a star player can significantly enhance a club's allure.Before the Bosman ruling, clubs from smaller countries like Ajax, Celtic, Rangers, Anderlecht, and Benfica were perennial contenders in European competitions. These clubs could build dynasties and remain competitive at the highest levels. Post-Bosman, the concentration of talent in wealthier leagues and clubs has made it nearly impossible for these teams to maintain their former glory. They have become "decent at most," struggling to compete against the financial might of clubs from the big leagues.

While christiano ronaldo has a case for the greatest real madrid signing ever (to me theres no argument for the modern times), there for sure is a case that di stefano is the one cuz he helped them become who they r. It's not that UEFA's revenue is low, it's that American sports revenue is absolutely insane. The organizers squeeze every penny they can out of sports in America. Think about how many ads are shown during an NFL game compared to any football game and it starts to make sense.

If you search it up it’s actually insan how much of a scam the nfl is. Around a third of a game is just watching ads while only an average of 11 minutes is spent on the game. It’s so low tha more time is spent watching replays (17 mins) then their is actually game to watch. Plus their ads are spread out through the game while footballs is only at half time where people just ignore the screen anyways

UEFA is not a league, like the NFL or EPL, it's a governing body, so the revenue comparison isn't really appropriate. Also, it is only the European governing body, not the world governing body like FIFA. There are many more factions in world football so total revenue is far more fragmented.
