Im a guy and used to just not care about my eye brows. Then i started to comb them before i left the house so they looked thicker.... i got complements on my eye brows almost immediately it was weird lol
When I was a kid I used to hate my eyebrows because they were too thicc (plus I had an unibrow). Now I feel really lucky to have them and it's funny to receive compliments because of them
Honestly so many guys would instantly look better if they just combed their eyebrows, just roughly with a finger just to make them look well placed would make a big difference. As much as I like natural looks on both men and women I still pluck my eyebrows a little bit and comb them and sort of position my eyelashes better with my fingers. I don't style my hair much, it always looks natural, but I still put lots of effort in how exactly it dries and often blow dry it with cold air, put a bit of oil to tame frizz, etc. Something about HAIRS in general makes a big difference.
As a makeup artist, I always remind my clients that brows make the biggest difference to the face with the least amount of alteration. Just filling in the tails or defining an arch can frame and balance the features.
@@dr.tadashizhang7719 Darkening the outer edges, or "tails" of the brows. Some people mistakenly only fill in the portion closest to the nose and it gives an odd "tadpole" effect.
it's all about the contrast or balance, all of the pictures here tend to have a lighter skintone with colored eyes, dark eyebrows suit them because it creates contrast, while if they dyed their eyebrows lighter than their iris, it would balance out their facial features, take a look at rihanna, her eyebrows is lighter than her iris and it brings the attention to the eyes. so some may look good in contrast and some in balance. for the eyelashes, accentuating it will bring more contrast in the eye making the attention focus on the eyes meghan fox is the perfect example of contrast and rihanna is the balanced one (rihanna have contrast in her eyes tho because she have a colored eyes and accentuated eyelashes, the eyebrows is the only balanced one) oh and also shay rudolph! i hope this helps ^^
@@Nymphoffduty glad i could help! youtube seems to be deleting my comment, i hope it won't this time, but i recommend you dear peachie if you want more informative explanatios like this :)
@@lalaland9646 mhm... i think it's best if you use makeup, like, eyebrow color or something (you can choose between contrast; darker than your iris or balance; lighter than your iris) use a spoolie for a natural finish look. for the eyelashes; use an eyelash curler first and then mascara (there are different types of mascaras and their effects, ie curved mascara is for curling) just a tip on eyelashes one tho, never use mascara first, because your eyelashes might stick in the eyelash curler making it hard to remove and take away the mascara in your eyes giving you the opposite result of what you wanted
@@potatosamurai0067 yess I love mascara but I’ve been trying to stop using it because I thought it made your eyelashes thin and therefore worse 😣 idk how to naturally thicken it
This is exactly why I hate my reflection when I don't fill in my eyebrows and wear mascara. I've always known it makes a huge difference for how I look, but didn't realize it makes such a big difference for everyone else too.
@@Iamwhatyoumademe I guess hate was too strong a word, it's more that I prefer the way I look with just a little makeup. I feel like it makes a big difference for how my face looks overall. I don't literally hate the way I look without it, but I feel like I look more put together and attractive when I do just those two simple things. It really doesn't help that I over tweezed my eyebrows when I was a teen and now they're patchy and thin because I stupidly repeatedly removed hairs and ended up damaging lots of hair follicles.
Thicker eyebrows makes your face look younger. They also stop growing back after a certain age. I stopped threading mine years ago and I love how they look now than the arched look
Whatever eyebrow style is "in" is what you will find attractive. Once thinner eyebrows are back in style you'll say the same thing but more in favor of thinner brows.
@@Morbutt He won't have to justify it. It will just be accepted as attractive. That's how it was in 90s and 00s. Back then no woman would be caught dead with thick eyebrows. Now it's the opposite. Trends always come back around so expect to see thinner brows in like 5 years haha
Exactly. Thin eyebrows look waaay better on certain people. Sometimes thick ones definitely take away from the beauty and look unkempt. Thin brows were the look in the 30s - 50s. Even supermodels wore their brows thin in the 90s and 00s. Do you think they did so to look “ugly”?? Hell no. It was beautiful. Trends play a huge role. Spot on.
because of genetics, i grew up with really thick and bushy eyebrows on top of having a lot of masculine features on my face despite being female. it gave me so much insecurity for all of my teenage years, even looking at old photos now i can say that they really didnt suit my face at all because i had no definite feminine features except my lips which is far down the face. now that im older i deliberately have thinner eyebrows because i am certain that they balance out the rest of my features. i can even do vibrant and complete eye makeup now because the emphasis, or first impression of a person towards me isnt on my eyebrows anymore (which ive heard comments about all the time)
@@gametri-eq6lj i let them grow out for a while but i don’t think it looks very good, i think it’s because my eyebrows are quite low so if i pluck the bottom & make them thinner then they seem like they’re higher up
I have dark, full eyebrows but smth always seemed off about them. As if they're too much, too masculine. I have a similar eye-area to Ian Somerholder lol I tried plucking them thinner but that made them look wonky and unhealthy, it did nothing for my features. Then I found the answer: keeping the thickness but plugging them shorter (I shorten the tail a bit). My eyes are on the smaller side and it looks so harmonious now. Feminine, youthful. Small changes on the eyebrows can make a big difference!
Truee I have light brows and always draw them on and I’ve been told it makes me look intimidating. I’ve gotten lash extensions once in my life and I felt sooo much more pretty waking up and confident but maintenance was annoying.
Qoves for the 21567th time - proportionally medium features are considered more attractive People in the comment section - Why won't most people find this extreme feature attractive?
I have great eyebrows. People tell me all the time. Still the rest of my face is fucked up and my symmetry terrible. But at least I have good eyebrows.
I absolutely can attest that this is true. I have blue eyes. All the blue eyed women know that the second we put liner on and mascara it changes the contrast and we look so different. I get tons of people telling me I’m beautiful just from filling in my brows and wearing dark eye make up.
I never plucked my eyebrows, in middlescool people thought I'm weird for not doing that, I just really had a thing for natural brows, don't know why. Fast forward, classmates who plucked eyebrows now use careprost to get their brows back, plucking really alter them permenantly
I keep hearing people say they over-plucked their brows in the past and now they won't grow back properly - meanwhile I've been plucking mine fully off for a decade at this point and those suckers still won't stay tf away😭
There’s also an in between. In middle school my mom knew with my very thick brows I was going to go crazy plucking so she made sure she supervised it so that they were cleaned up but not too thin. Then she started taking me to have them waxed and they kept them thick but optimized the shape. My mom was terrified they’d be over plucked and not grow back but I’m 38 and still tweeze these suckers 2-3 times/week 😂
I’ve always had extremely thick brows and started waxing them when I was in 7th grade. I’m 38 and they’re still thick but 2 years ago I had them micro bladed just to even them up & fill in patches more permanently (vs pencil) & it’s some of the best money I’ve spent on facial aesthetics. I feel SO much more put together and attractive with my brows done. They’re very natural (not painted on circa 2016).
Everyone is different... if it's a girl and she has allot of masculine features like no lips and big nose then thick eyebrows are a no. But again, everyone is different
I'd be attractive as heck too if i had that jawlines. Also for females, thick / dark eyebrows are less attractive in my opinion. I like a softer and feminine look.
"Your eyelashes DON'T have to be overly long or voluminous"?? People with this facial feature are incredibly lucky! It DOES make a huge difference... People notice, comment on and envy NATURALLY long, dark and thick lashes!!
Growing up in the early 2000s thin eyebrows were the thing. I plucked my beautiful bushy black eyebrows and now they are patchy in spots and I have to use a pencil to fill in. It’s the only makeup I feel I can’t go without and still feel confident. Don’t pluck your eyebrows just the strays growing in weird places. Bc they really might not ever come back 💔
Even though I’m gay, I did not find any of the girls’ eyebrows attractive. If you make them too dark and sparse they look manly. The one that looked good had full eyebrows but nice color and they were threaded.
Dermalmd Eyebrow Growth Serum is the best product I've found for achieving thicker and more defined eyebrows. It has filled in sparse areas and enhanced the overall shape of my brows.
this makes me feel good, I have thick eyebrows (but not so so thick) just thick enough but the color of my eyebrows is slightly ashy black, my coloring is true summer, I have a medium to low contrast features so my eyebrows is thick but because I have slight contrast that sometimes it looks not thick in certain lighting.
Clearly I was not a subject of that study. Cheekbone prominence and an overall heart shaped face are the holy grail. If you have dimples and a slight cleft chin, it's a big plus. Females with super thick brows should get tweezers immediately. Everyone should brush their brows, however. That looks so gorgeous and polished.
Somebody is jealous of high cheekbones.😅😅 I've gotten millions of compliments on my cheekbones and people saying that I have a model face. But I've only gotten like 3 compliments on my thick eyebrows.😅ever 😅
i used to have the thickest bushiest eyebrows and then i overplucked it as a teen bc i was insecure and thin brows were in and now they don’t grow nearly as much 😔
Wow this is the confidence boost I needed. My long curly black eyelashes and thick brows (which I was insecure about) finally made me feel good about myself.
Take grassfed beef liver capsules my hair grew like crazy . And I’ve eaten the same healthy food my whole life so I know it was the capsules they also helped me with my skin and eyelashes grow
I'm a natural blonde with blonde lashes and brows and I absolutely need eyebrow pencil and lots of mascara to look nice. All other makeup is optional but those two. Fine light hair is a curse when it comes to modern day beauty standards.
I have naturally thin light eyebrows. If I fill them in too thick or very dark, I dont look as good as I do if I keep to my natural shape, thickness and go a little bit darker in color that hormonize with my natural coloring wich is a dark golden blonde. I also think I am way prettier if I drop mascara. And I have light lashes, but it suits me to go mascara free.
It’s possible you just need a less severe mascara and eyeliner color bc black doesn’t work for you. Have you ever tried a cool or warm brown? Have you had your colors done? This will tell you exactly why traditional mascara doesn’t look great on you and tell you what will. It’s okay if you don’t like wearing it, obviously - but I suspect that not wearing it isn’t necessarily the answer here. I’m a muted, cool color season so I use a cool brown mascara and it looks much softer on me. I use dark brown eyeliner instead of black.
my eyebrows are literally perfect in the way that they grow... literally anime shape.. not too bushy but dark and defined...i am still mid in appearance
Only things I was lucky w on my face are eyelashes, brows n cheekbones which r easy to fake. I got unlucky in those areas that need fvcking expencive surgery etc to be "fixed" 😭
Idk.. I naturally have thick, dark eye brows. In middle school I was made fun of for having “one big bushy eyebrow” or a “black caterpillar” on my face…of course I grew insecure and tweezed them too thin for my face shape; oval with flat cheekbones. Fast forward to almost 30 years later…I don’t touch my brows, just brush them up and I am on the fence about getting cheek fillers…I’ve noticed people with high or pronounced cheekbones tend to not age as those of us with less facial bones structure😢
Anyone can give me tips on growing my brows? I'm a girl and it's like half of them (from around the nose to the middle) is ok but the other part (from the middle to the end) is almost non-existent😢. I also have a little scar on my left brow and the hairs don't want to grow there so not only are my eyebrows half-invisible, they are also uneven🥲
I dont look pretty with thick eyebrows. Mine a medium thick now and it looks better. I also have the problem that they grown down, so I need to cut them, and I miss hair on the highest point of my eyebrows
that is not always the case. nina dobrev for example looked 10000 times better with thin eyebrows then with the thick ones she sports the past years. thicker brows dont automatically make more beautiful
Skip the fake looking lash extentions. Use Grande Lash. Maybe dye your lashes every 6 weeks on top of that. My lashes have never been this thick and face/eye framing. You’re welcome 😁
